About Tibor G

Hello there! I'm Tibor, born and live in this beautiful city, Budapest. I studied Catering and Tourism and worked at more travel agencies and in the hotel business. In the last 10 years I manage a company with activity to sell design items of known European brands and was all the time a big pleasure to show my hometown for our foreign partners and colleagues. My hobbies are travelling, to discover different cultures and people, design & architecture, so with this flat I'm very happy to makes my dreams true.

Tibor G purchased this apartment in 2014

Why Tibor G chose Terézváros

Enjoy the architectural beauty, the background of the multicolored history, the touch of the Monarchy (Austrian-Hungarian Empire), the famous cafés and thermal bathes, the vibrant day and nightlife of the city.

What makes this apartment unique

At the renovation of this flat was very important to preserve the original architectural shape to feel the real historical touch of Budapest and the old Monarchy. At the reconstruction got a lot of help with an Italian friend, who is an architect arrived 5 years ago into the city for a project and stayed here :) The interior design is my work.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Have lived in Budapest and was returning for a holiday. This apartment is a gorgeous clean apartment. The hosts are great. They have everything you could possibly need. I had a little nephew with me and there was a travel cot, high chair, a bath and other baby accessories. The location is also ideal. It's close to the centre of Pest and is in walking distance of the river and lots of the touristy attractions. The hosts are very help. They even drew my attention to a festival that was on in Budapest that weekend. Great city, great place to stay!

Superb central apartment with great hosts

  • 5 of 5

Tibor and Csaba are the fantastic hosts of this excellent, very well equipped apartment. Every part of our communications from start to finish was warm, helpful, and very efficient.

The apartment is beautiful and very spacious. It is absolutely spotless too. The bed is BIG and extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed all the lovely features of this Pest apartment, like the parquet flooring, the ceiling roses, mood-lighting and the original doors. The furnishings are very comfortable and tasteful. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking 'at home', if you wish to. The two bathrooms (one with a great walk-in shower, the other with a shower over the bath) are really lovely.

Tibor and Csaba have truly done an amazing job renovating the apartment. They have been very thoughtful in providing folders of lots of superb tourist tips and a good number of excellent books and magazines about the city.

Although it is centrally located, we had no trouble with street noise, and the blackout blinds function very well. It is very well placed for transport, being just a short walk from both the hub at Deak ter (trams, buses, Metro lines 1, 2 and 3 ... also the airport shuttle bus stops there) and Oktogon for the very frequent 4 and 6 trams and a Metro 1 stop.

We recommend everything about this apartment very highly, and we look forward to returning there on our annual trips to Budapest.

Many thanks to Csaba and Tibor for providing such warm service and such lovely accommodation.

Lovely apartment, great location

  • 5 of 5

My party of two stayed at Paulay Premium Suite Opera for 5 nights, the last leg of our 19-day trip. We stayed in apartments in three Central European cities, and this one was the most spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped apartment of the three. Additionally, Tibor is a gracious, informative, and responsive owner. You will not go wrong in staying here.

We arrived on an early morning train and Tibor directed us to a luggage storage business, which allowed us the opportunity to visit a museum before we checked in. (We communicated through WhatsApp.) When we met him at the apartment, he thoroughly explained how everything worked. Before leaving, he guided us through a pictorial notebook he prepared on possibilities on what to see and do in Budapest. (He also emails this guide to you if you book one of his properties.)

At Paulay Opera Suite, the beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, the kitchen is well-equipped, and all the living spaces feel homey. After a day and evening of sight seeing, it's a wonderful place to return.

Each day we discovered that the location of the Paulay Opera apartment was better than we realized. There are many good restaurants, cafes, and bars in the surrounding area, particularly in the Jewish Quarter. We discovered Boutiq' Bar our last night. It is just down Paulay and is rated one of the top bars in Budapest for expertly made cocktails. It is also very doable to walk to Buda Castle, the Great Market Hall, Parliament, etc. And if you don't want to walk that much, you are near a main hub for the metro and busses (Deak Ferenc Ter). We did take the metro to Szechenyi Thermal Bath and the National Museum of Hungary.

Sometimes it's the little things that make a great place even greater. For me, I appreciated that coffee pods were provided, we were welcomed to take the colored towels to the thermal bath (and avoid the long towel queue and extra expense), and a Christmas tree was set up in the living room. When I couldn't find the wine bottle opener, Tibor quickly responded via WhatsApp.

I highly recommend Paulay Opera Suite.

Superb accommodation

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is superb in every way. The location is ideal but it was the attention to detail in the overall layout and quality of furnishings that we so appreciated. We were welcomed warmly and given all information that we needed. This place as well as all Budapest had to offer was certainly a trip highlight for us.

Loved Our Pauley Flat!

  • 5 of 5

Tibor (and his friend!) was amazing, so helpful leading up to the trip and also once we met him at the apartment. It was equipped with everything we needed right down to Christmas decorations for the season! its a great split floorplan for traveling couples (we were with my parents) and the location could not be better. We were a 2 minute walk to the Opera, 4 minutes to the main square and also the Basilica. It was easy to get around and tons of restaurants and shops nearby. We were also only about 5 blocks from the famous Simplez ruin bar. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Budapest and would highly recommend staying with Tibor on your visit there!

A perfect vacation rental in Budapest!

  • 5 of 5

Paulay Premium Suites Opera is by far the best vacation rental we have experienced. It far exceeded our expectations in the areas of location, comfort and cleanliness. Our host, Tibor, arranged transportation from the airport, personally greeting us, gave use many tips on getting around his beautiful city and offered sightseeing advice. The property was very spacious, fully equipped with kitchen and bath supplies and was located in the center of many of Budapest's tourist sights. We will definitely stay at Paulay Premium Suites Opera again if we ever have the chance to visit Budapest again. Thank you, Tibor!

Modern, elegant, efficient and comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 3 nights in this apartment - and rather quickly became at ease in its spaciousness, sophistication and livability. The level of detail that went into making this apartment comfortable was remarkable. For example, we felt spoiled by the Italian coffee machine, heated towel warmer, rain shower and blue tooth speaker. The kitchen was outfitted generously which made cooking in the evenings easy. (Don’t miss the fresh pasta shop in Gozsdu Courtyard - delicious homemade pasta and sauces!) We have now stayed at a handful of apartments in both Budapest and Prague and we felt that this apartment was the most well prepared for guests.

It’s important, too, to say a few words about the location which we quickly came to love - especially since we were interested in being close to the Jewish Quarter and St Stephens Basilica (not to mention the Opera House and Andrassy Utca) The street has an interesting mix of businesses- quite different from the residential Buda Castle neighborhood where we first stayed. Once inside the apartment- it was incredibly quiet and a wonderful place to unwind after a full day of exploring, learning about and enjoying Budapest.

We highly recommend this place!
