About Tibor G

Hello there! I'm Tibor, born and live in this beautiful city, Budapest. I studied Catering and Tourism and worked at more travel agencies and in the hotel business. In the last 10 years I manage a company with activity to sell design items of known European brands and was all the time a big pleasure to show my hometown for our foreign partners and colleagues. My hobbies are travelling, to discover different cultures and people, design & architecture, so with this flat I'm very happy to makes my dreams true.

Tibor G purchased this apartment in 2014

Why Tibor G chose Budapest

Enjoy the architectural beauty, the background of the multicolored history, the touch of the Monarchy (Austrian-Hungarian Empire), the famous cafés and thermal bathes, the vibrant day and nightlife of the city.

What makes this apartment unique

At the renovation of this flat was very important to preserve the original architectural shape to feel the real historical touch of Budapest and the old Monarchy. At the reconstruction got a lot of help with an Italian friend, who is an architect arrived 5 years ago into the city for a project and stayed here :) The interior design is my work.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Have lived in Budapest and was returning for a holiday. This apartment is a gorgeous clean apartment. The hosts are great. They have everything you could possibly need. I had a little nephew with me and there was a travel cot, high chair, a bath and other baby accessories. The location is also ideal. It's close to the centre of Pest and is in walking distance of the river and lots of the touristy attractions. The hosts are very help. They even drew my attention to a festival that was on in Budapest that weekend. Great city, great place to stay!

Stayed in many VRBO apartments - This was the BEST

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have traveled a lot in Europe and also in the US, and have used VRBO apartments a lot. We have been pretty happy with all our experiences but this one was heads above any other we have enjoyed.

It started with great communication from the start and that was carried through when we arrived and met Tibor. He helped us with our transport to and from the airport before we even arrived he met us promptly at the apartment and gave the best briefing and information about the area, the neighborhood and the apartment.

And the apartment...., it's the most well equipped apartment we have ever stayed in and Tibor has thought of everything. The pictures are awesome and show the class and style of this great apartment, but it's hard to see in pictures how much care and attention went into every detail. From every light fixture, to bathroom fixtures, to silverware, to three kinds of coffee pots, to having nice dinner napkins... there is not anything he has missed to make this place special.

I can go on and on, because there are so many nice aspects to this apartment, and my wife is still gushing about it too... and she has really good tastes and appreciated every detail.

Suffice to say, you can't beat this lovely apartment at twice the price. And the host is the best you will encounter anywhere....

Great location, Beautifully decorated, modern and safe

  • 5 of 5

We can't say enough about this great place. Everything was great. It looks exactly as you imagine in the photos. Super clean, spacious, updated and modern. Well equipped kitchen. Tibor thinks of all the details and makes sure the place has the items you need when you arrive (soap at each sink, kleenex, laundry soap, dish soap etc.). Also the binder full of tips and suggestions for the area is very helpful to ensure you get the most out of this beautiful city. The location on the Pest side is so close to all the major sites. We walked to everything and could come back to rest or drop off bags before going back out again. Safe too. We were two women and felt very secure in the area and the building. My only little suggestion is to leave more bath towels. We only had one each and this was not enough. Highly recommend this place. It is great.

Great apartment in the perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful apartment, which is furnished and equipped to a very high standard, down to the smallest detail - the hosts even provide umbrellas in case of rain! It is very centrally located for all the major attractions of beautiful Budapest, so you can walk almost everywhere. Tibor was an excellent host, explaining how to get to places, which baths to visit, and providing comprehensive information on the main sites, restaurants, etc. Budapest is a great city and we would definitely pick this apartment next time we visit.

Budapest - Lisbon

Good location in Pest

  • 4 of 5

Nice apartment in Pest near the opera. Comfortable beds and modern kitchen and bathrooms make this a great choice for a short or long stay. Tibor and Csaba were very hospitable and helpful. Building is kind of old and tired in the common area and if you must have an elevator, you can not call this one from your floor. Great high ceilings very clean apartment - we would definitely rent here again. Very close to Gozdu which is lively and the old subway line.

Great Apartment and Host in Budapest

  • 5 of 5

I selected this apartment for its convenient location, and it was very convenient, close to all of the places we wanted to go. The apartment was clean and well stocked. Our host was very responsive and informative (the most helpful host I've ever met) and recommended good restaurants, which we really enjoyed.
