Description

South Boston House Rental Photos and Description

This home has updated hardwood flooring, appliances, lighting and more. The main level offers open-concept living and kitchen area with a 1/2 bath and full laundry off the kitchen. The chef's kitchen includes granite counters, stainless steel appliances (refrigerator that includes filtered water and ice maker, convection oven and dishwasher/disposal) and bar seating.

Other features on the main level include dark hardwood floors, ceiling fan with wall remote control, dimmable lighting and movie-theater lighting recessed in the crown moulding. The leather couch offers motorized reclining seating and the television options include Comcast/Xfinity digital TV with HBO, Showtime, Cinemax and Starz. Off the kitchen, there is a medium-sized deck (12'x9') with a 5-burner gas grill and seating area for 6 that is exclusively for you and isn't shared with anyone.

The home provides 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor with a full bathroom (tub). All linens, towels and basic toiletries are provided. Two bedrooms include queen sized mattresses (one is a firm memory foam and the other is a standard mattress) and the 3rd bedroom is smaller with a daybed that converts from a twin to a king sized bed. There is closet space and shelving/drawers available to you for your belongings in each of the bedrooms and the bathroom is stocked with towels, toiletries and amenities for your use (shampoo, soap, etc.). Both bedrooms with queen beds have ceiling fans and overhead lighting.

The home also provides free wifi, keyless entry, central air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout.

Other essentials:

Full linens (sheets/pillows, etc.) and towels are provided and all beds/pillows are protected with anti-bacterial/waterproof casings for cleanliness. There is shampoo/conditioner/body soap in the shower and you can use any amenities you wish (hairdryer, iron and clothes steamer, etc.). If there is anything specific you need for your trip, I'm happy to supply if possible.

Guest Access

You will have access to the entire space and will be there alone, this space won't be shared with myself or anyone else while you are renting. You are able to use the home as your own, feel free to use the kitchen and any supplies, do laundry, watch movies and enjoy the home.

Interaction with Guests

I am available for anything you need but only around if you'd like to meet or need assistance. I have a car and I'm happy to help with anything you may need in the event of a bind. I can have the kitchen stocked or prepare any supplies you may need in advance at the home.

The Neighborhood

South Boston is one of the hottest neighborhoods in Boston as of late given its proximity to the Seaport area with restaurants, bars and a bustling nightlife. We are also conveniently located to the convention center (BCEC) and downtown (Financial District, Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market) along with subway access on the redline (Broadway T stop is 0.6 miles away) and frequent bus routes to Copley Square or Downtown Crossing (#11 bus).

My home is located on a one-way street off a main street in South Boston. It is mostly a quiet neighborhood and the majority of locals are twentysomethings/early thirtysomethings as well as local South Boston residents. There is more activity on the weekends but this is mainly a residential area with the bars/nightlife about 0.5 miles - 1 mile away. Places range from 5-star (Del Frisco's, Morton's Steakhouse) to sports bars (Remy's) and lounges (Lucky's).

You can grocery shop at Foodie's market with many organic options and fresh meats to select from (0.4 miles away) as well as eat/order take-out from many pizza and wrap/salad shops in the immediate area.

Getting around

We are close to many hot locations in Boston:

Subway stop - Redline T at Broadway: 0.6 mi

BCEC (Convention Center): 1.0 mi

Bus to Copley Square: Take #9, the stop is 350 feet from the house, and the bus ride is 1.8 mi

Waterfront/Seaport Area: 1.2 mi

Laugh Boston (Comedy Club): 1.0 mi

Beach/Castle Island (Carson Beach): 0.8 mi

Foodie's Urban Market: 0.4 mi

Starbucks: 0.6 mi

Dunkin Donuts: 0.2 mi

Rental agreement - Per my insurance policy requirements, by making a reservation and ultimately booking the home, you are agreeing to the following:

1. You're responsible for ensuring that the accommodation is left in the condition it was in upon check-in.

2. You shall be liable for any damages caused by your own acts and omissions (including without limitation failure to timely vacate the accommodation) and also for the acts and omissions of any individuals that you invite or otherwise allow into the accommodation.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask in your inquiry or at any time during your stay.

Note - We don't charge additional cleaning fees or for additional people and have a queen-sized airbed for your use if you need more than 3 beds. Also, keep in mind Boston hotel taxes are 14.45% when considering your options, for a $600 stay that is an additional $87.

About Tiffany Finnegan

I'm a young professional and work in the insurance industry. I love dogs and have lived in Boston since 2001 after moving here from Upstate NY. I love all that Boston has to offer and I'm happy to open up my home to others.

What makes this house unique

It is a house in a part of Boston where there are mostly condos or apartment buildings, offering much more privacy and noise reduction for your stay. The area is a neighborhood but just down the street from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is perfect for relaxing after long days in the city.

Amazing place and great host!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was beautiful, exactly as pictured. Tiffany was very helpful with information regarding parking, details of accommodations, and transportation. The location was perfect for the 5 of us, safe and beautiful to walk through. Also uber readily available and inexpensive in this area. Would definitely stay here again!

Very clean, organized, great use of space and quiet (yet easy access) location

  • 5 of 5

Tiffany is super customer service oriented and her home on Tudor Street is impressive. We stayed for 5 nights and started to feel like we were part of this amazingly friendly neighborhood. The house is cozy and has everything we needed....right down to the stain remover to get the lobster butter stain out of the sweater! The beds were comfy, the towels plentiful and there was plenty of seating for the 5 of us and friends, too. We were able to walk back and forth to the convention center and even all the way to the historic sites of Boston. We visited many of the cute and yummy restaurants and bars on Broadway and it took only 5-10 minutes on foot to get there. Our only suggestion is to put some hooks on the backs of every door to help with storage space. The closets are pretty tiny and it was hard to hang jackets, towels, etc with this limited space. Otherwise, we were absolutely tickled pink with the home. Thank you, Tiffany!

Very Nice Boston Condo

  • 4 of 5

We truly enjoyed our stay in Tiffany's Boston condo. She was so accommodating and helpful, as was Molly, her cleaning lady. The condo was conveniently located with access to the subway and a grocery store. We really enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the evenings with a glass of wine. Having a half-bath downstairs was super helpful. Lovely condo!

Great place to stay in Boston!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Tiffany's beautiful home in South Boston. We were in town for my daughter's college graduation and we had eight of us stay in the house. We were all very comfortable, were just a short drive to the festivities in the Fenway area and loved visiting the Harpoon Brewery right up the street from the house.

We found plenty of parking just two blocks away and loved just hanging around the living room laughing and enjoying this lovely home.

Tiffany answered all of my questions and was a wonderful hostess.

On our next visit to Boston, we'll be sure to stay here again!

Fantastic stay in South Boston!

  • 5 of 5

This place is nothing short of ... WOW!

We stayed for the parade and plan to do that again in the future. It was the perfect place to be. Clean, comfortable and easy to navigate!

Beds comfortable and linens were so nice!

You can't go wrong here. :-)

The only suggestion I would make is ... If you stay in the winter, bring saline spray for your nose and a portable humidifier. As many New England homes get in the winter, this place gets dry.

Excellent in every way

  • 5 of 5

Our stay here was just perfect. Tiffany was a wonderful and very helpful host. The house is quite modern and pristinely kept. It was very comfortable and the neighborhood was very quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with condiments and seasonings as well as all the tools and dishes one could want. The upstairs bedrooms were comfortable and relaxing. We loved the marble herringbone floor in the bathroom, which was well stocked with towels and extra shampoo etc. All in all the place is a gem. We did not venture out to the deck due to the cold but It looked quite nice. I was a little concerned about parking but found great parking on Old Colony very close to D street about a 3-4 minute walk. Tiffany was quite helpful and had great directions for parking. It is not far to walk to the T at Broadway so it is pretty easy access to the city. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again.
