Cozy, Quiet, Beautiful, Amazing, Winter Wonderland
We loved our stay in the cabin. The wood stove was great and added a warm glow. We had A family of Deer walking behind the cabin we could watch from the bedroom window. We enjoyed a few night walks down the driveway in the snow. The light bouncing off the snow made the landscape look as if it was covered in tiny diamonds. The owners where wonderful and their dog was a sweetheart who became instant buddies with our small dog.
During our stay we also checked out the Brewery in Bonner’s Ferry and watched the Seahawks game. Great place for a beer.
Made it to Schweitzer for a day of skiing and explored some side roads looking for waterfalls. There is so much to do within range of this great place.
We so enjoyed having you all as guests. It feels wonderful that you enjoyed your stay and the area as much as you did.
Perfect Honeymoon Getaway!!
My husband and I had an amazing time here! The cabin is fantastic! It was the perfect size for the two of us to spend the week relaxing. Lee is a fabulous host and was easily reachable if we had any questions or concerns. Their dog is absolutely adorable and came over to say hi every day when we were outside! We will definitely be making future trips up to get out of the city! It is the perfect distance from town. We felt secluded and alone but it was just a quick trip into town for groceries, etc. We can't wait for our next vacation! Thank you so much to Lee for sharing their cabin and making it a great experience!
Thank you for spending part if your honeymoon with us, we feel honored. Have a happy life together, you are welcome back any time.
Quiet and cozy
Great little get away. Very laid back host.
Thank you, what a delightful family you all are! You are welcome anytime.
Great stay and welcoming owners!
The cabin was so cozy. It was a perfect little getaway for just my husband and I. We were close to everything We wanted to do and the setting of the cabin itself was so quiet and peaceful. The owner went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we needed. We loved our stay!
Wanting a cozy, intimate cabin, and on a budget? Look no further!
We wholeheartedly recommend staying at this cabin! My wife and I stayed here for five nights, and we had our small dog with us too. The owner was very gracious, approachable and outgoing, and we immediately felt at home staying here. The cabin itself has two main rooms plus a bathroom, so for three or fewer people, it's ideal. October days in Bonners Ferry start to get a bit chilly, so we put the cabin's wood stove through its paces. It also has an electric infrared heater if you're sensitive to wood smoke. The owner replaced the mattress in the back room shortly before our stay, making the queen-sized bed one of the most comfortable we've ever slept on. The front bed is very good as well.
The cabin is located at a convenient spot about three to four miles north of downtown Bonners Ferry, with easy access to U.S. 95; and there is a barn and open area where the owner's horse, Mika, spends time. She even showed me how to feed Mika one morning and give her a few crunchy horse treats--how fun! The owner's dog, Addie, will want to come over to the cabin in the morning and greet you. I joked with her that Addie should be trained to bring over a breakfast tray and the place could alternatively be made into a bed and breakfast!
The only negative--and it's a very minor one to us: The kitchen area is small, so it takes a little getting used to preparing food around it. Even so, the refrigerator was plenty large for us, and we had plenty of dishes and utensils, as well as an electric teakettle, toaster and cooktop provided.
In summary, our experience at this cabin helped to make our vacation one of the very best we've ever had. Location, facility, owner--all excellent!
Thank you! We enjoyed you all as well, it always is fun to know people enjoy our wonderful area and appreciate the diversity.
Great quiet place to welcome Fall's arrival.
Quiet and immediately comfortable. All the basic stuff is available in this clean and cozy cabin. Just a short jaunt to town for anything you forgot. The new woodstove seriously gets the job done. Lee is a welcoming host and it shows that a lot of thought goes into making the cabin a great home base for wandering the Wildlife preserves, watching the trees change colors, listening to the trains (I love those trains) or a reader's vacation. Bonner's Ferry isn't a place you can fully appreciate if you don't hang out awhile. Had a wonderful time.
Such considerate guests, peaceful and interested in enjoying nature and a relaxing time. I agree the occasional, far off train is a Western and welcome sound which fits with the ambiance of the log cabin. Thanks for being such appreciative guests, come any time!
