Beautiful, peaceful and private cottage with 3 bedrooms 2 and a half baths. The master is on the main floor. A large fireplace with gas logs, hardwood floors throughout, the kitchen has granite counter tops and stainless appliances. The outside has a pond on the property and large grassy areas. Great for a couple seeking a getaway or family looking for a place to enjoy. The property has large tract of land surrounding the cottage. You will feel very private but not secluded it is only a short drive to downtown Hendersonville.
The cottage was recently built and has a beautiful setting so private but close in to town as well.
The cottage is a unique blend of Arts and Crafts style with a large covered porch that you can sit and look at the views of the mountains. The property has a small pond with fish in it that you can enjoy. A horse pasture in the back borders the property.
Townsend Cottage is a beautiful home located in lovely setting with meadow and mountain views. Clean, tastefully decorated and well-equipped, it was prefect for our ladies annual Christmas shopping trip! The owners even had it decorated for the holidays! We were disappointed that the chilly temperatureso didn't allow us to take advantage of the wonderful porches. Hope to return!
This was a great place for our ladies weekend. It was a beautiful home with everything we needed in a very peaceful place . It is convenient to Hendersville, Asheville, and the airport. Senior guests should use the downstairs bedroom - homeowner was very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
Our group enjoyed our stay at Townsend Cottage. It is a beautiful home that met our needs and enabled us to have some relaxed and enjoyable evenings after active days of taking in the sights. There were a few things that would have improved our stay. When we arrived and for most of the first 24 hours in the home, a very unpleasant odor was present in the home. It smelled as if trash or garbage had been left unattended. We were able to open windows and spray room freshener to relieve the problem however and we were gone most of that time. Mattresses on the beds are beginning to age and were not as comfortable as we would have liked: lumpy and worn. We also would caution others about the stairs as they are very slick surfaced and difficult to navigate with bags.
On the plus side, the house has much to offer. The kitchen and living areas are spacious and set up for comfort with lots of space and opportunities for conversation, watching tv or relaxing. The porch/deck had comfy furniture and beautiful views. The washer/dryer was nice to have as we packed 'light' and threw loads in around our outings.
This cottage has terrific potential for a five star rating and we hope that those who manage it will take our suggestions to heart. Downtown Hendersonville was fun and the fall colors in the area were outstanding!
This cottage is beautiful and charming and sits on a gorgeous piece of property. It was an easy drive off of 64 between Hendersonville and Chimney Rock. I went to the cottage for fresh air and seclusion. This was the perfect place because it sits on picturesque farmland with a pond. Barns, horses, country roads, mountains in the distance. It was very quiet. Just lovely, especially this time of year with the leaves turning. The quiet was nice but when I needed a little more, I drove 9 miles down 64 into Chimney Rock and had a marvelous time there. The cottage itself is beautiful, clean and cozy. I would definitely rent again and next time take my family, as I know my kids would love it! K. Morgan
Great place to stay. The whole family loves it, we already plan to visit again soon.
This is a great, cozy cottage/house that was great for a weekend get away for two couples from Columbia, SC. The inside is new and clean, and there is a nice covered porch that is perfect for watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee. Picturesque location nestled in between the foothills, but still convenient to downtown Hendersonville and a pretty easy drive up to Asheville.
The master bedroom/bathroom is very spacious; the second bedroom with the double bed was not as big and comfortable for the second couple, but still nice. Third bedroom would be plenty big for us to bring our kids next time.
Great place, very much enjoyed our stay there.
