Three generations of my family just spent 5 nights here and couldn't of had a better place to stay. Every window has a great view and who doesn't love hearing the river right out your door? Nancy was a doll too, thx again.
Natural High is such a wonderful place to stay. My family and I stayed for five nights and we fell in love! We have stayed in the Durango area and rented other houses before but, this is the best and was absolutely wonderful! Mrs. Nancy said we would not want to leave and she was so right! She was so helpful and made everything so easy! The cabin was so clean! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need. We did a lot of cooking and grilling and it was just great. The best part was that beautiful stream!! Open the windows and it will sing you to sleep. Natural High was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. We had such a wonderful time. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin. We hope to return again!!!
I still can't get the sound of the creek running behind the cabin out of my mind, nor do I want to. The deck outside the front door was incredible. My wife and I woke up each morning and went straight to the deck overlooking the creek to enjoy the morning air and calmness (before the kids woke up). It also had a large side-by-side gas/charcoal grill for our use and an area to sit and eat. Our three girls took over the downstairs, which consisted of the game room, a bedroom, a bathroom with a nice sized shower, a media room and the laundry room. If only they did the laundry too. We really liked the open floorplan in the living area and kitchen. BTW - the kitchen had everything my wife needed to cook every meal she wanted. The beds were all very comfortable and the windows being left open day and night made it easy to relax and fall asleep. Our big suggestion is to use the bug spray when you go outside for a lengthy amount of time. The mosquitos are hungry!! We hope you enjoy the cabin as much as we did. Nancy made sure everything was taken care of. She was great.
My parents celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary and luckily for me they decided to bring their sons(and daughter in law and granddaughter) along. The location and atmosphere of the home couldn't be better. About 1.5 miles one way the street dead ends into the Weminuche wilderness trails and just a few miles the other way you hit the lake. Something you notice immediately is the house was very clean. There was ample room and having one bedroom downstairs with its own full bath and media room for my wife and our 2 year old daughter couldn't have worked out better. We had grand designs to visit Pagosa Springs, take train rides etc. but the house so comfortable and surroundings so amazing we spent the majority of our time in the immediate area with the occasional jaunt to Durango. I can easily see this being somewhere we plan to visit as often as possible!
This was my first time to Colorado and my family and I choose this beautiful home in Vallecito Lake. It had everything we needed,ok except a hot tub :) We loved the home and the town and what amazing weather! We will definitely be back.
Great wild mushroom hunting, bird watching, hiking trails nearby to Weimeuche wilderness
