This was the second time my husband and I stayed at this condo because we loved it so much last year. It is a beautiful condo close to the marina (4 blocks), local restaurants and bars (there are some on site and others 2-5 blocks) and the bike trail that connects Dillon to Frisco, Silverton, Copper Mountain, Vail, and Breckenridge.
It has two full bathrooms (both with full sized bathtubs) and a large master bedroom upstairs with a smaller (but not what I would consider small) room downstairs. The beds are comfortable, but the bed upstairs appears to be two mattresses and you can feel the seam between the two if you were to sleep dead-center in the bed (just FYI). There is a washer dryer, which came in handy after my husband went fishing and I competed in a local triathlon. There were also many staples (sugar, coffee, coffee filters, ziplock bags, oatmeal, honey, dish soap, laundry soap/dryer sheets, and a few refrigerated condiments) so you may want to swing by the condo before heading to the supermarket (just a mile away).
There are even two inside covered parking spaces for the condo.
We love this place and would definitely recommend it. Also, it was very convenient for when I competed in the 106 degree West Triathlon. If you are thinking of doing the race, the condo is was close enough to the race site (at the Marina)that I set up my transition area, then went back to the condo to drink coffee, have a bite, and maybe a nap before walking back out for the race start (at 9:00am).
This was a great condo and we had a wonderful time here for 2 nights. The place was very clean and had plenty of linens, dishes, and even some cooking condiments which was a nice touch. The beds were comfortable and everything in the unit worked and all lights were functional. We did have a few issues during our stay though. The patio is huge but is joined by the neighbor's patio which lacked privacy (for the neighbors and us). The patio also only had 2 folding plastic chairs and a BBQ grill, so it would have been nice to have a patio set (table & chairs) out there. We actually moved the dining room table out on the patio when we made our dinner on our last night there. The only elevator in the place was broken down for our whole stay. Climbing with all our stuff to the 3rd floor was a major workout at that altitude. We had a small ironing board, but no iron that we could find. Despite these minor issues, we had a great stay. The area is quiet and all Dillon Lake activities are within walking distance. Nice little community. I would recommend this place to others who might be looking for a great condo with great views.
We were very pleased with our stay at La Riva del Lago. The place was as advertised, clean, and in great shape. It's also centrally located in town center of Dillon, very close to our favorite pizza and sub shop, Jersey Boys and a liquor store. Our only complaint was there wasn't a ton of empty cabinet space, as the owners had a couple of locked cabinets, which is completely understandable, but it left little room for groceries. The only other drawback was there is no pool for the kiddos at the complex, but it did have a great hot tub which we enjoyed everyday. We'll definitely be back.
Beautiful condo with wonderful Lake Dillon views- great location. A little high priced at Christmas time. Fully stocked with appliances, cooking and dining supplies. We really enjoyed our stay. However, with no human contact with the renting company we were unable to get the VRBO van moved out of our second parking space in the garage even after a mid stay phone call.
The condo was clean and large with two full spacious bathrooms, a washer/dryer, and large kitchen and lots of lighting. Beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony. While the condo was just two blocks from the walking/bike trail and amphitheater (and one more block to the Marina with the Tiki bar), it was very quiet. The night that "Who's Bad" played at the amphitheater you could barely hear it from the condo (and only if you were actually listening for it). The condo is walking distance form the restaurants, the bike shop/liquor store, and post office. The weather was great and I was able to ride my bike to the Copper Mountain, Vail Pass, Frisco, Keystone and Loveland Pass. My husband rented a kayak and was able to fish all over the lake. There seemed to be something going on in the area every day we were there from Ockoberfest in Breckenridge, to the concert at the amphitheater, Frisco Fall Fest, or the Dillon farmers Market. We plan to stay in the same condo when we visit again next year.
We were so comfortable in this condo. A great location in Dillon, walkable to restaurants and shopping.
The changing view of the mountains and lake were so delightful each day we were there. The amenities are excellent and everything was clean and user friendly. Bed was so comfortable, and bathrooms roomy. Being across the road from the tennis courts, next to the best Friday Farmer's market, as well as a short walk to the amphitheater on the lake for excellent Friday and Saturday night entertainment, and also next to one of the best bike trails we have ever been on, were all fantastic pluses for a fabulous summer mountain break. We look forward to returning.
