Built in 1893, The Maritime building was recently fully renovated and converted into upscale residences. As the first skyscraper in New Orleans, the building is now on the National Register of Historic Places. During the renovation, traditional elements were preserved, giving this property both old and new charm.

Your condo features an open concept floorplan with large windows which make the space feel open and airy. The light, coffee colored bamboo floors, from the living room to the bedroom, glisten in the windows' light. The kitchen is stunning, with dark wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. It is sure to make meal prep a treat.

This one bedroom, one bath condo offers a king size bed and queen size pull-out sofa bed to comfortably accommodate up to four people. A huge, bamboo sliding wall divides the bedroom from the living room.

Clean, spacious, good location

The apartment was as described: clean, plenty of space (for 2 people), good location. Nice to have a kitchen and washer/dryer. Bed was comfortable. It was a little loud a night with the trolley going by, but that comes with the territory of being in the heart of the city. Having only 1 key was a nuisance, as there were two of us. The gym and pool are tiny - not as nice as a hotel facility would be. The AC didn't seem to be working.. If we were going to stay much longer, I would have called the management company about this, but our stay was brief, so we just turned on the ceiling fan and dealt with it.

Sweet spot

Overall super. AC could be a bit cooler and pull out wasn’t super comforter but these were small things. Beautiful place. Super spacious. Great location.

Absolute perfect location, a few blocks from Bourbon Street & access to other sites!

Property great for our small family. Easy check-in/out, small workout room was nice, pool small but heated & kids enjoyed it. Taste of urban living. Concierges in the apartment building were great. Location is UNBEATABLE. But bring earplugs - this is a noisy city throughout the night. Would most certainly stay here again!!

Fine for only 2 if you want to spend every minute together.

I have never written a bad review of anywhere, but I feel the need to share a bit of knowledge about this property.

I was in NOLA on a partial business trip with my boss and a relaxing weekend with my daughter. We generally choose condos over hotels, because of the convenience. One bedroom with a pullout sofa, I take the room, he takes the couch. It has worked for 10 years. This time it was more tricky.

To start out, they will only give you one key!!! The condo is advertised as sleeping 4, but you only get one key, no exceptions. Why?? Even if I was traveling with a spouse, and we end up separated, why does that other person have to be locked out?? It is weird!!

Second issue: The shower has no door or shower curtain!! This may be modern, but it is also weird. There is this strange half glass wall, but I felt like i was showering at the gym out in the open. At the end of the week my daughter and 2 friends came down to enjoy the weekend and this made getting ready to go out way more time consuming, because there is no barrier when someone is in the shower. A shower curtain would have made it an option for her to use the mirror in the bathroom while I was showering, but nope!!

Third issue: There is only the one aforementioned mirror in the entire condo!! NOT A SINGLE OTHER ONE!! Now this really cuts back the use of the bathroom, because when you have a few girls traveling together, the need for a mirror is very important. A simple $15 over the door mirror in the bedroom could have taken care of this issue. While she was showering, i can do my make up in the bedroom, but nope, now I have to wait till she is done showering in the shower with no door :(

Final situation: The condo sits overlooking the alley, which is fine except the trash runs DAILY at between 3:30 and 4:30 am. It sounds like they are dragging dumpsters up and down the alley for an hour!! It was AWFUL. I am a light sleeper, but even with a few beers in me, was awakened every morning for a week with a dumpster dragon screaming in my condo!!

Some issues are just inconveniences that I felt the next group should be aware of. The first one was the major issue. I know that they can do something about the lack of availability for a second key. I also know nothing can be done about the trash and they must think the shower is hip, but for the love of all women, please invest in a second mirror!!
