Perfect Mountain Getaway! - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Date of stay: Dec 2014We booked this home through Twin Season Vacations Rentals in Silverthorne, CO. The home was just as described---impeccably clean house and linens, well-stocked kitchen, and comfortable in every way, including beds, furniture, etc.. Considering our stay was the week between Christmas and New Year's Day, we were very impressed with the rental agency's responsiveness when we had a poor-heat issue in one bedroom. They initially provided space heaters until a contractor could come out the next day and repair the boiler valve, and the rest of our stay had no problems. Our first morning after arrival, we enjoyed watching a herd of elk make their way up the hillside behind the house while we enjoyed our morning coffee.....amazing! Also, the views of the mountains from the back deck are breathtaking! The home is about 10 minutes from a Super Target, an outlet mall, and I-70 access. Town of Frisco is about 15 min and Breckenridge 20 min from the house. Considering the holidays and the amount of traffic in local ski towns, we very much appreciated being a bit removed from the congestion. The advantage of staying a bit farther out is that we paid approx. $2K less for a 5-day stay than we would have paid for a comparably sized home in the Breckenridge area. We would definitely recommend this home and the rental agency!

A guest from Lees Summit, MO said...Beautiful Home, worth the drive. Excellent view and accommodations. - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Date of stay: Mar 2015I've been traveling to Summit County for many years and have rented in many different locations. This is the first rental that I wanted to buy. The Aspen View home is set high on an eastern slope just north of I-70. Watching the sun break on the western mountain tops from the comfy king bed was only surpassed by the sunsets viewed from the large deck. The kitchen is just as amazing as it looks in the pictures. Traveling with two families, we try and keep our costs down by eating at home. We cooked all but one meal during our week stay and found little to complain about. The entire house uses "in floor" heating. A boiler system keeps the floors nice and warm. Perfect for wandering around in socks or bare feet. The only negatives from the trip were related to the gas grill and the Hot tub, both items the owners said they would look into. The grill would not heat much past 200 degrees (made Steak Night a chore). The Hot tub was older, but comfortable. We had the breaker trip twice on us. Once with no one around. We came home from a long day of skiing at Break to find the tub at 75 degrees. The view is well worth the drive. Travel time from the house to I-70 is about 7 minutes. We made Copper Mountain in less than 30 and Breckenridge in about 45 minutes with heavy morning traffic. I give our overall experience two thumbs up.Twin Seasons response:"We strive to make each guest’s experience as wonderful as possible. This includes responding quickly to guest reports. The issue with the gas grill was not reported until guest check out. Within 4 hours, the grill had been diagnosed, and a new pressure regulator had been purchased and installed. We typically perform a full service on grills in May as the weather changes, but a spate of Spring-like weather had this grill in action much earlier than usual. We get it! The afternoon sun, views and privacy from this property are incredible - enticing everyone to be outside when they can. We also dispatched a hot tub tech after the guest checked out, and again, a part was replaced. The breaker has not tripped since. We are glad the home met your expectations. It truly is a gem of a mountain getaway."

Annette B. said...Great home! - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Date of Stay: January 12, 2016We had a great vacation staying in this beautiful home. It was clean, well furnished, and perfect for our visit to CO to ski. Most of the ski resorts are within 30-45 minutes of the home. Keystone is only 15 minutes away. Our only suggestion would be to have more kitchen dish rags and towels as well as wash cloths. Other than that, everything was great and we hope to return soon.

Fantastic views

  • 5 of 5

Other than having to reset the boiler system to get the hot water to work, our stay at this home was fantastic. Outstanding home and great views,

The manager of the property was very responsive to our needs. Great group to work with.

A big thanks to them and their support.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review. An electronically controlled valve on the boiler went out late on a Saturday night. We were there an hour after it was reported. After being unable to fix it ourselves, we called our plumber. He arrived early on Sunday morning and replaced the part within minutes. It was our pleasure to have you as guests and we look forward to seeing you again.
