Wonderful ski (outdoor activity) family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

What a WONDERFUL ski vacation! We rented this lodge with our adult children March 12-15. It was everything we expected and MORE! Our children ages 26 – 31 each had their own room or should I say own floor (including basement) with plenty of extra beds for their friends. One could easily fit three families in this house without bumping into each other. There is a bathroom/shower on each of the three floors.

I LOVED the layout of the kitchen, and, may, use some of Doug and Angela’s ideas for a new kitchen at my home. The kitchen is equipped with the BEST cookware, dishes, and utensils. The hot tub was a huge hit after a tiring day of skiing and snowshoeing with spectacular views of Sugarloaf & Bigelow.

My husband LOVED the huge GREAT ROOM with the plush leather seating and huge flat screen TV.

As stated in other reviews, there is plenty of living space for groups to gather around and a large dining room table w/chairs for family dinners.

This is a GREAT family ski/outdoor activity vacation lodge, I would definitely recommend it. A big SHOUT OUT to Doug & Angela. Thank you! We will be back!

Very nice property, plenty of room

  • 4 of 5

The house was really nice inside and had plenty of room. The kitchen was great to cook for a crowd. Everything was clean when we arrived. We had one question with the hot tub and the owner was very responsive. I would definitely recommend and rent again.

2 THUMBS UP!!! Warm, Clean, and Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We had 13 people (6 adults and 7 kids, ages 8-14) for an amazing ski week at this beautiful home. The owner, Doug, has done a terrific job building a home with a unique and comfortable layout. There's plenty of living space for groups to gather, and we could all eat comfortably together in the dining room, or have the grown-ups lounge in the living room while the kids collected in a bedroom or the downstairs living space. Everyone loved the hot tub, and there was nothing like a soothing tub at the end of a day on the slopes. Doug was very responsive, flexible and accommodating... very easy to work with. The home is fairly secluded (although part of a community) so it provides a lot of privacy. As noted previously in another review, the bedrooms aren't large, with the exception of the master bedroom. But people didn't spend much time in the bedrooms. Also, if you are going to have 13 people, then the people sleeping in the loft won't have complete privacy. That wasn't an issue for us, but if you plan to have people sleep in the loft you should ask Doug to explain the layout to you before you commit. There are some very minor unfinished bits in the house (like some missing trim. Really minor stuff.), but I only mention this if you are looking for a white-glove, Four Seasons type of experience. This place is best for the large family, warm, relaxing, getaway. If you want to be by the fire while you sit around the dining room table playing a family game of cards, after a day on the slopes and a warm hot-tub, then this place will fit perfectly.

Great house!

  • 5 of 5

The house was absolutely beautiful and larger than expected. It is so cozy with two fireplaces. The owner has it very nicely stocked with amenities and is truly devoted to creating a seamless experience. This house is a must stay for anyone vacationing near sugarloaf! Thanks for the great opportunity to make memories!!

Spacious and relaxing home for large groups

  • 5 of 5

The house was fantastic- we had 12 adults (no kids) and it was the perfect size. We had such a good time hanging out in the hottub in the zero degree weather and running right inside into a roaring fireplace- it can't be beat! The location was great, about a 10 minute drive to Sugarloaf. The bedrooms are a bit small (except for the master which was wonderful) so the rooms get tight with all our luggage- but the house has plenty of space to spread out in so it really did not make any difference. We will definitely be back!! Thank you.
