As advertised and easy check in process
We really enjoyed our stay. Centralized heating and heater in the bathroom was a plus. The kitchen had ample dinner and cookware which made cooking easy. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool table was very entertaining. I would definitely rent this cabin again
Dear Traveler. Thank you for your review and for choosing Cool Cabins. I’m happy that you enjoyed your stay and I’m looking forward to having you again as a guest in Big Bear.
A Bit Modern
This was our Families second time booking with CoolCabins and it was ok.
If you are looking for a Cabin feel this would not be the cabin for you, this cabin doesn't have that wood cabin feel.
Pros: The washer and dryer, very spacious, separate living spaces if you are going with a big family, open kitchen.
Cons: The furniture is wore out (Dining room chairs, couches and etc) you go to sit and you get sunken in no padding left. The bed upstairs where the pool table was at was broken it looks like they tried to tie it together with some rope and tried to add a thin piece of ply wood but you still couldn't sleep on it. I called the office to let them know and they were nice enough to bring a blow up mattress which we had to put downstairs where the Foosball table was at because it didn't fit anywhere else. We tried to use the roll away beds but those were worse. The pool table was broke you can tell when you play the ball rolls to the middle.
Overall I wouldn't never rent this cabin again even though its ample space for a big family its a big run down and needs some work. Even though they tried to accommodate with a blow up mattress; that no one wanted to sleep on our intentions was for everyone to have a bed.
Thank you, Stephany. We're very sorry for the issues you experienced at this property during your stay. Thank you for letting us know so we may improve and make our cabins better for you and other guests. We hope you will return to Big Bear soon and stay with Cool Cabins.
MLK Weekend Trip to Bear Mountain
Great place to stay for our group of 9 people. Parking area was large enough for our 4 cars. The home is very comfortable with plenty of seating area around the dining and living area. The kitchen is ample with plenty of cooking equipment to make great meals for the group. The foosball and pool table were great for lounging around while having drinking. Nice surprise to see toiletries in the bathrooms and in the laundry room. Beds were comfortable. The home is located very close to Ski Rentals and the Village and about 5 minutes away from Bear Mountain. Overall a great stay.
Hi Noe! Thank you for your time and feedback. We're so happy that this cabin was everything you needed for a relaxing and enjoyable Bear weekend. We hope you'll return to Big Bear and Cool Cabins for many vacations to come!
Horribly old house nothing works properly. Will never stay there again!
First of all, it wasn't a 4 bedroom house as advertised. The first floor was "ok" compared to upstairs but not good. One of the reasons we rented this house was the fireplace which never worked after trying several times. It needed to be cleaned! Prohibiting signs everywhere... do not sit... do not dance, DO NOT! Way too overpriced for the accommodation. What year is this? 2018 but we thought it was 1918 because of the outdated TVs that didnt even have a basic cable channels. One of the rooms with bunk beds was a closet. It wasn't a real room. In one word, total waste of money. There are so many other things to point out but I don't want to waste time.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback on this cabin and we will definitely have these things taken care of. The fireplace is scheduled to be cleaned and we will see which of the signs within the home need to be removed. The tv's are a bit dated but are equipped with full satellite capabilities and we apologize for any inconvenience which they caused you. Thank you for letting us know so we may improve and make our cabins better for you and other guests.
I just love it, everything was very clean and nice
I hope me and my family can return this winter, we had so much fun and the cabin was super clean, had a lot of space. I just loved everything.
