About Anna Maria Island: Five blocks north there you may want to enjoy a walk on Historic Bridge Street with various shops and restaurants there you will also find the City Pier at the end of Historic Bridge Street with a covered areas and large wooden swings that overlook the Anna Maria Sound, you may watch a variety of wildlife that lives and feed in and around our tranquil town. There is a free trolley service provided by Manatee County Transit, the trolley travels the length of the island until 10:30 p.m. daily. This has been an asset to the community, our guests rave about the service. The drivers are very familiar with the 3 cities on Anna Maria Island, feel free to ask the drivers if you have a question about a location. Come on down and hang with the locals, we will make you feel at home.

Central air, full kitchen, High Speed Internet, Cable TV, blu-ray, Laundry, King and Queen size beds, and very clean. Come down and Enjoy. Swimming, biking, fishing, rollerblading, historic area. Some of the best restaurants on the West Coast of Florida are within your reach. The Beach Bistro with 2 locations, one being on the beach so you can enjoy our tranquil sunsets and warm Gulf breeze, and the second one located on the north end of the island. There is also more casual dining within walking distance: Omas Pizza, The Bridge Tender, The Beach House Restaurant and The Cabana Banana. Why Robert Waller chose Anna Maria Island

I took my grandmother down to see her great niece in Tampa which is just about a hour north nice day trip to check out Ybor or Channel Side for lunch and shopping. Well my cousin took us down the side roads to every little beach town from Clearwater to Naples and here it was white soft sand walking distance to everything and the nicest people I could of met, and here I am today on Anna Maria Island little bit of Heaven

Great property conveniently located

My wife and I took our four young children on our first family vacation. We enjoyed this place. It was clean, accommodating and conveniently located. The deck was in disrepair but usable. We would come again.

Convenient location.

The apartment was convenient in it's location shame the sofa bed was broken which was needed as there was 6 of us luckily we were able to repair it.

The balcony out the back is dangerous especially for children. The place needs remodeling outside.

Inside was fine and over all we enjoyed our stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying. I have addressed the exterior problems with the condo association since they are responsible for the exterior of the building. I have screwed down the loose boards until the condo board comes up with a final answer. Again thank you and come back again.

Loved the location (very close to the beach & inland waterway). Loved the deck.

To watch the sun set we only had to walk West two houses and cross the road to the beach. There are no buildings on the beach side of Gulf Drive.

To watch the sun rise we only had to walk four or five houses East to a little pier and the inland water way.

We spent a lot of time on the large deck on the East side of the unit. The unit has three parking spots.

The location is only a short walk (six small streets) to historical Bridge Street with it's restaurants and the long pier. The board walk (actually asphalt) starts at the end of 7th Street and continues South for two miles next to the beach shaded by large trees all the way to Coquina Beach. Lots of activities including a market on Sundays along the walk.

The unit itself met all our needs. It could use a little upgrading which are in the process of being done. We have no complaints regarding the unit. The building has 4 units and I think the other three units have year round residents. In any case they were friendly and very quiet.

So what do we think of this rental unit.........we have already booked it for 2018

For the price, is is sufficient

We stayed in the dondo mainly for its location, as we had other family staying on Jewfish Island by Longboat Key. We used the condo strictly for bathroom and bedrooms. The condo was clean and what we expected for the bargain price. The bathroom and kitchen could use some updates, and both bathrooms had leaky faucets, but again for the bargain price I can not complain. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The location was great with beach access directly across the street and the bay straight out the back.

The good, the bad, and the ugly.

The good news: The location is amazing, easy walk to stores, restaurants, beach, and walk/bike path. There are large closets with shelves. It’s nice to have bathrooms on both floors. The unit is well supplied with most cooking needs, sheets, extra pillows, blankets, cleaning supplies, great beach chairs and towels, and the washing machine seems new, furniture is comfortable.

The not so good news, but not deal breakers: We were here for a month. We purchased a few necessary items for our convenience, including new shower liners, shower curtain rod, steak knives, wine glasses, small glasses, small charcoal grill, a clamp for the kitchen faucet, and hangers. Gas grill (no tank) is too old/dirty to use. The dryer works but the lint screen is broken and you need a screwdriver to pry it out.The unit was clean, but clearly done in a rush without much attention to detail. Beds are a bit dingy, could use new pillows/sheets/comforter. Moldy shower curtain liners, damp towels hung in bathroom, stained comforter(went in the closet for our stay), nasty cobwebs in living room, ants on kitchen counter/in downstairs bathroom (we bought traps). Most pots, pans, some dishes and silverware needed to be rewashed before using, some kitchen drawers needed to be washed out. The cable and wi-fi were each out for a day. Contact person was called and the problem was taken care of.

The BAD news:The water was shut off because the bill wasn’t paid. We found the notice on the deck one morning. The landlord responded to our call immediately, full of apologies, the bill had been paid, this was a mistake of the utility department, he had taken care of it and water would be turned on that day. We called the utility department after several hours, and it was indeed a delinquent bill but had now been paid. However, the water would not be turned on until the next day between 7 and 2. We went to a hotel. We submitted the hotel bill to the landlord and were promised a discount and reimbursement, which we recently received.

One star is for the great location and one star is for the refunded money. We wanted to like this rental, but in the end, it required too much effort, patience, and unexpected costs on our part, so we can’t recommend it to anyone. This is not a reliable property or landlord.

Owner's Response: First would like to say I am sorry that you felt this way. I personally was just there in January. I replaced the dryer and microwave since your stay. As far as the cleanliness and maintenance of the place I will be taking that up with the cleaning/maintenance company I do tell everyone that if the place is not clean or any problems to please call me rite away this is the first I am hearing of this. Again I am sorry about all of this. Wish I was informed sooner.
