Come stay at our Pico Ski House. The house is newly renovated, including all new bedding. Each bedroom has an attached bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped if you and your fellow guests prefer to cook-in.
Need to mix business with pleasure? The house is fully equipped with WiFi. There is a quiet sunroom off the main floor that is the perfect escape to get work done while enjoying the beautiful mountain views.
There are endless outdoor activities as soon as you step out of the door! Walk or ski to Pico Mountain and the Pico Ski Village. There is shuttle bus service to Killington Mountain (pick up and drop off at Pico base lodge). Walk to Pico Sports Center to access its pool, sauna, gym and yoga studio (additional fee). There are hiking and snow shoeing trails right out the front door. Cross country skiing is close by (Mountain Meadows or Mountain Top Resort). V.A.S.T trails are nearby for those who prefer snowmobiling.
Once you’ve tired of all the outdoor activities, cozy up indoors. There is a wall-mounted flat screen TV with cable located in the main living room as well as one in the master bedroom and one on the lower level. We have a variety of DVDs and board games to keep you and your guests entertained.
Frank and Joanne Dunn have spent their whole lives living in Western Massachusetts. They love to be outdoors hiking, snow shoeing, skiing and golfing. They are very active Grandparents.
Carrie Meehan purchased this house in 2014
When Frank and Joanne were looking for a property in VT they wanted something that would be large enough for their 3 children, spouses and grandchildren. They certainly found that with this house. This huge 6 bedroom house is large enough for everyone plus some guests. There is something for everyone in the area; which is hard to find with such a large family. This was definitely the right fit for them and they hope you will feel the same way.
Pico is the perfect ski mountain for small children and for those who are just learning to ski. All trails end at the same central location (the base lodge) so it is perfect for families or friends that don't want to lose someone at a larger area. For those who prefer a larger mountain, you can hop on a shuttle at the base of Pico and head over the Killington Mountain. No need to worry about the hassle of parking and then lugging all your equipment with you. This house really has something for everyone. There are 3 separate sitting areas so everyone has room to spread out and relax. The house has 3 separate decks (one right off the master bedroom) and a grill on the main deck.
It's a true sleeping machine but considering the price paid I expected more spacious bathrooms and a more updated decor. The basement bedrooms had very small bathrooms and the entire floor smelt musty.
This place is so spacious! We stayed here for a long weekend with several other families, all with children. The place is clean, well-maintained but still has much of the Original Pico House charm. It is within minutes away of all nearby attractions and has plenty of parking space. Added plus was a swing set in the backyard for the kids. The owner is very professional and accomodating. Would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend this place to others.
We had a great weekend at the Original Pico house! We stayed at the house with a few friends while attending a wedding near by. The house had plenty of beds to fit all of us, had all of the amenities we needed, and was in a great location right at the base of Pico mountain. Carrie was also very easy to communicate with and provided detailed instructions. Next time we are in the area we will definitely stay here again!
Pico House was great for our family. There were 12 of us, including a one year old. The home was very roomy and we were able to spread out over three levels. The home was well equipped for a large group and for cooking in. The weather wasn't what we had hoped for, but the home was great.
Not only does this house boast a Vermont cabin feel- it also has beautiful views of the mountain, a large kitchen, a warm feel & plenty of room for a large crowd. From the day we booked the house for New Years until the day we left, the owners of the house made it so incredibly easy and enjoyable for us to stay. Out of all homes I have rented or stayed at- this was absolutely the best experience thus far.
10 minutes outside of town, walking distance to the mountain and the homey feel of the Original Pico House make it a must visit.
We are so incredibly happy we started off the New Year there.
Free shuttle service to and from Killington Mountain from Pico Parking lot!
