Call Marvin and he will pick you up in his water taxi and take you on a tour through the inland waterways. Experience all the local villages accessible only by water.
We recently enjoyed a wonderful week at Seagrove Retreat.
So many activities from kayaking (singles/doubles with paddles provided) , great snorkeling nearby (gear provided), paddle boards , swimming in the pool or off the dock. Which is always refreshing.
Junior, Franklin and/or Tommy (care takers, who are the best!) can arrange most anything you need. From shuttle to and from the airport, to stopping by a large grocery store and boat taxis. Call Marvin for a boat trip down the coast line (highly recommend this) , or lunch at Hole In The Wall or other places.
Spend your happy hour fishing from the deck of the casita or dock. Mostly small fish so for us catch and release, but much fun.
Early in the morning you will see the school bus boat pick up children and a fisherman came by the dock to sell us lobster.
Seagrove Retreat is peaceful and quiet, always a breeze so sitting on any of the decks provides a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. The houses are tastefully decorated and furnished with all your needs. All was well maintained and clean.
Make sure you stock up at the grocery store as Seagrove Retreat is in a beautiful secluded area, with a rocky road and steep hill to get in and out. There are a fair amount of stairs on the property, we just viewed it as daily exercise.
The owners Paul and Julie are delightful and will answer all your questions.
Looking forward to our next trip to Roatan and would definitely stay here again!
Spent 7 nights with my family, my cousin's family, and mom. We snorkeled almost every day right off of our dock. We swam in the pool and in the bay as well. The property was spotless and incredibly nice (much moreso than we could have hoped for.)
Junior and Franklin were the 2 property managers and hosts and made sure that we had access to everything we could have asked for. The views are breathtaking and access to so many activities for the family that we had a hard time getting it all in.
I can't recommend this house any more highly and we are already planning a return in January.
My one week stay at The Retreat was truly perfect in every way. When I arrived I was very impressed by the outstanding architecture of the casa and the casita as well as the ingenious engineering of all the many retaining walls. I settled in at once and felt right at home. The lush foliage and the beautiful pool area only add to the experience. Franklin and Junior, the care taker staff, are always available to look after every detail and help out when necessary. They are both very friendly and capable. Come for a stay; you will be delighted
We are really grateful for staying at this place. It was an absolute pleasure. It was all planned till the last detail. It was perfect!
We wanted to bring Kevin and Ed back home (they are the diver´s instructors that pick you up for snorkling and diving). They are kind, attentive, and always smiling. And Franklin and Junior were always there for everything we needed at the house.
And Paul... Paul is the best.
This house is beautiful, dreamlike, and full of good vibes.
The house is even better, nicer than what u can see in the pictures! For sure!
Trust me... it want disappoint you !
Hardly recommended !
