Totally Updated Beach Bungalow in 2024! Modern beach house with 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, enclosed backyard & outdoor shower. Fully stocked with great amenities for guest comfort & relaxation. . 4 blocks to ocean, great location to everything. Walking distance to beaches/ocean, restaurants, wine tasting, breweries- a short drive to UCSC, located on the westside of Santa Cruz . Near downtown and Beach Boardwalk. One block to the Coastal Rail Trail provides easy walk/biking access to explore nearby State Parks & Santa Cruz. We have 725 reviews over 4.9 stars and above, with 11 years of hosting experience. We just re-opened after extensive upgrades to our space inside and out with many new fixtures/features, layout, furnishings, & refurbishing/paint in and out.

Our goal is to provide a welcoming, clean, well-stocked, comfortable, friendly space for our guests to relax, gather, unwind, work & play. Our location on the west side of Santa Cruz is in the ideal, within a short walk to beaches, ocean cliffs, walking paths, incredible views of Monterey Bay, surfing, restaurants, Natural Bridges, Big Basin & Wilder Ranch State Parks. The neighborhood contains dining delights, many wine tasting rooms and breweries. Amazing coffee shops/bakeries, authentic surf shops, and UCSC are close by. We have a small aquarium in the neighborhood, Seymour Marine, as well as miles of nearby biking, walking, hiking trails. Gateway to explore the Highway 1 north berry picking farms, driving distance to back entry to Big Basin and windsurfing/kite surfing Waddell Beach, and adorable town of Davenport. Nearby is famous surf spot, Steamers Lane. About 1.5-2 miles from Beach Boardwalk and Wharf.

SPACE DESCRIPTION: 3 bedrooms, one & a half baths, open kitchen/living room, enclosed private backyard, with hot outdoor shower/rinse station and A/C (rare for Santa Cruz). Small garage has included washer/dryer & storage for your bikes or beach/surf equipment, but no parking inside. One onsite uncovered parking space in small drive-way, with plenty of street parking. Completely updated in 2024 with new paint inside/out, new bathrooms, new furnishings and fixtures. Remodeled in 2016. This beach bungalow offers indoor/outdoor dining, BBQ, full kitchen, 4 flat screen TVs, fast xfinity internet, relaxing living area -open to kitchen, and 4 beds. Please note that the house is approx 1000sq ft of indoor living space and two bedrooms are quite small.

THINGS TO KNOW:
The person renting the house must be residing at the house and a "guest". No renting for someone else, aka 3rd party bookings.
Renter must be minimum of 18 years of age.
House underwent complete update in 2024, fully remodeled in 2016
No steps inside house. We do have a step into the garage and 2 steps in backyard from deck to grass area.
1000 sq ft living space, 3 bedrooms, One full Bathroom inside with shower, one half bathroom.

Guests must sleep in bedrooms/beds provided. We do not allow extra outside beds allowed like cots/blowups etc except one portable crib.
5 people max . No ability to add guests over max 5 people (plus one infant under 2)
Bedroom 1: King bed. Sliding Glass door to backyard
Bedroom 2: Queen bed. NO Closet. Loft is not part of rental and has no access for guests. . Window to backyard.
Bedroom 3: Window to Front yard. 2 twin beds. Small closet

MAX OCCUPANCY: 5 people over the age of 2, one person under the age of 2 (in portable crib).
DAY OCCUPANCY: 9AM-9PM is maximum of 9 people on the property at any one time.
NIGHT OCCUPANCY: 9PM-9AM. Only the guests approved in the original rental agreement may be on the property after 9PM.

NO parties or events, ever, strictly enforced quiet hours between 10PM-8AM.

PARKING: Space for one vehicle, uncovered in driveway, and well as plenty of street parking. Rental permit rules stipulates that guests bring no more than 2 vehicles.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: The most frequent request from guests is the ability to extend their vacations on either end, only to find out there is no availability for early check- ins, late departures, or to extend a day. You may want to consider a 3 night stay (or more) if you can swing it, our minimum is 2 nights.

Entry is 4pm or later on your arrival day, and departure is by 11am on your last day. There is complimentary 2 hours for early entry and late departures, however, we are often unable to accommodate this request due to availability.
Entry is self check-in for easy access.

SAFETY: 3 safety cameras capture the front yard, front door and driveway. We do not have any cameras facing the side yards, backyard or inside of the house.

ACCESSIBILITY: There are no steps inside the house or to get into the house. There are 2 steps from the narrow back deck to the backyard . There is also a step from the house into the garage and from driveway to front walkway. Access from sidewalk, to the front walkway, with no steps.

PETS: We do not allow pets of any kind. Please do not have your friends/family pets come visit for any reason.

SMOKING:No smoking/vaping of any kind indoors.

WIFI/ELECTRONICS: Wifi is 400 mbps that is considered "fast" by Xfinity. This speed allows everyone to be on several devices at once. The TVS are "smart" or have amazon fire sticks for you to stream your own entertainment & apps.

STOCKED: This is a brief description see verb website for further details. We have microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher, BBQ, coffee maker (drip 12 cup), coffee grinder/filters, toaster, and basics to cook and dine for up to 6 people. We don't provide coffee.. we have a few spices and sugar, oil. Shampoo/conditioner/body soap, all bedding and linens, beach towels. One indoor shower, one outdoor shower.

GARBAGE: Lastly , guests staying over on a Thursday night are asked to help put our outside garbage/recycle bins to the curb (about 6 feet away), and return to side of driveway on Friday once emptied.
