Overview of Pools

One of the best parts of summertime is spending the day amidst the thrill and exhilaration of a waterpark, or floating the day away in the sun-dappled water. With four waterparks to choose from, Smuggs has more opportunities for family fun in the water than any other resort in New England. Kids of all ages – including adults – will enjoy:

eight heated pools with plenty of lounge chairs

four winding waterslides

interactive water playgrounds

hot tubs for relaxing

a fresh water reservoir nestled amidst the mountains

wading pools, waterslides, and play areas just for little ones

Mountainside Pool /Rum Runners(1/2)

In the Mountainside Pool Area, you and your family can enjoy the day at your own pace. Take a swirling tube ride down the 300-foot-long Giant Rapid River Ride or wade into the expansive Mountainside Pool, where there's plenty of space for water games or a lazy float under the sun. In Little Smugglers' Lagoon, smaller guests can discover gentle waterfalls and disappearing fountains, plus the Turtle Mini-Waterslide that's just their size. When all this fun makes bellies rumble, the Mountainside Cabana serves up delicious snacks and refreshing beverages poolside.

Experience the pristine beauty of the mountains with a 10-minute hike to the scenic six-acre reservoir high on Morse Mountain. Spend the day fishing, swimming, picknicking, or rent a canoe or paddleboat and explore the reservoir on your own steam. Bounce around on the Aqua Jump inflatable trampoline, or send each other flying with the Aqua-launch. You can also test your balance on the Fidget Ladder Climb or simply float around

Notchville Park (3)

Notchville Park is our three-acre water playground known for its exciting variety of active family fun. With the 140-foot Notchville Twister waterslide and three different pools, there's always something going on. In the Crossing Pool, kids challenge themselves to make it across the Lily Pad Walk without falling into the pool. They can send water flying from the Cove Pool's Sugar House leaking bucket and water cannon, or head over to the Cascade Pool's waterfall and aqua-basketball areas. On dry land, sand volleyball, horseshoes, the Giant Swing, and a six-face Raven's Roost climbing tower test skill and encourage friendly family competition. Between adventures, fuel up in the family picnic area pavilion.

Also: guests of all ages can enjoy camps, zipline, segway and the NEW Arbor trek at great prices.

100% Credit given for all unused nights

Guestbook comments from the owner

It is always heartwarming to read about the great memories that a typical family has experienced. The mere fact that, due to financial constraints, at least some of them might not have been able to have done so without our help, makes what we do particularly rewarding. My family came to Smuggs in 1988 and each of us fell in love with this very special place. Now that we no longer have the time to spend our summers there, we are so happy to share it with others and look forward to the time when we become grandparents. We can't wait to once again see the excitement in our own grandchildren's eyes as they proudly march in the weekly camp parade and run in to our arms when we pick them up from yet another great day in Smuggs wonderful camp!

Amazing stay at Smugglers Notch!

  • 5 of 5

Recently stayed at Smugglers Notch and couldn’t have been happier - the location was perfect as we were steps away from the new Fun Zone 2.0. This case in amazingly handy during our stay as it was in the negative temps the entire time and with 3 young kiddos, we killed quite a few hours here after skiing (our youngest was 18 months so my wife spent quite a bit of time here during the day as well!)

The condo itself was exactly as expected - wife and I in the master bedroom (comfy bed!) and our 3 in the main family room - we used the cot and futon Susan offered up and it worked out perfectly!

Closets stocked with more blankets and towels than you can count and they she had any and everything on hand hat we could think of including everything for the washer/dryer and dishwasher.

All in all a very pleasant stay and Susan couldn’t have been more accommodating and accessible - we chatted her twice for minor things like forgetting our keyless entry code and she was always super quick to respond!

Owner's Response: It is always nice to hear about guest satisfaction, particularly from one that endured below 0 degree temperatures, while paying holiday rates, because, although it shouldn't, weather can have an impact on the rating. I was glad to hear that the family enjoyed the "Fun Zone"2.0, & all of the many things that I provide to try to accommodate everyone. It's too bad the they weren't able to take advantage of the free extra nights that I offered them. I know that it would have been a great place to open up Christmas presents, while being able to watch skiers descending the mountain, through the large sliding glass doors, leading to the deck. The Ciarnello's are lovely. I hope that they will come back soon to create more wonderful family memories.

Great home, helpful owner, wonderful mountain

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I loved our weekend at Susan's property. She was very communicative as soon as we booked, gave us all the info and tips we needed, and was flexible with early check in and late check out. Her home was perfect for our ski weekend - it is centrally located at Smugglers Notch and was only a ~3 minute walk to the lifts. Thanks again - I will definitely look to book it again!

Owner's Response: I am so glad that the Brian & his wife enjoyed my home so much that they elected to ski an extra day at Smuggs, foregoing their original plan to ski Sugar Bush their 2nd day. I know that being allowed to leave at 6 pm instead of 10 am made a big difference in their enjoyment of all that Smuggs has to offer. When people work hard all week they deserve to make the most out of their getaways, & it's nice to hear how much they appreciated doing just that!

Fabulous location!

Sue is an exceptional host and goes out of her way to be available at all times. The place is perfectly located right next to the pool and fun zone and 5 min walk to slopes. We’ll be back again!

Owner's Response: Gabrielle Fastert was also an exceptional guest. I really appreciated her calling me to say that they had arrived, pleased to find everything in order. I wish that they had been able to take advantage of the extra days that I offered before arrival & after check out, but am glad that leaving in the afternoon rather than 10:00 a.m. made a difference. I look forward to their next arrival as much as they look forward to their anticipated return.

Wonderful Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Smuggs. The condo was within walking distance to everything and the Smuggs Pass allowed us access to pool and FunZone which was great. Susan was a wonderful host and VERY accommodating! We had everything we needed for an enjoyable family getaway and will definitely go back..

Owner's Response: I really do try my best to be accommodating, & I very much appreciate being recognized for it. This review is particularly gratifying because the Harrington's were there during the most expensive week of the year, & the skiing conditions could most certainly have been better. Often guest comments may be tainted because of poor weather, which is 100% uncontrollable. The family didn't have the best possible experience, & left early. They were allowed to vacate the condo as late as they liked, while still getting full credit for the departure day. They now have the unused time to look forward to using over the Summer. Obviously, Nancy was glad that she had chosen the home of someone so understanding. I look forward to having the pleasure of making it possible for her family to enjoy the water parks & day camp that are not provided by the great majority of Smugg's self renters.

Great on resort property!

  • 5 of 5

Great being in the resort and appreciated the one night rental. We were here for a ski race. Boys loved fun zone which is an easy walk, 2 minutes from condo.

Owner's Response: Jenna told me that it was impossible to rent the one night on Smuggs property, even from the resort itself, so I was happy to have been able to help the Carroll family stay on premises, close to the race. I know that they really appreciated my having the home restored the day after checkout, so they were able to stay as late as they liked on the day of their departure. I am glad to hear that they enjoyed using the new Fun Zone 2.0 that is adjacent to our home, since I pay the resort a great deal of money in order to provide guests the Smuggs passes that are necessary for access. It always makes me feel good when guests say that they will be telling others about the comfortable, conveniently located home, & I always show my appreciation for any guest related referrals with free nights attached to future stays.

What a wonderful time!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I recently stayed at this lovely condo. Three areas of concern to us are cleanliness, convenience and activities. Let's not forget fun too! All of these areas were covered. The condo is kept in great shape. We have young children and cooking in is no problem with the well furnished kitchen. Don't like to cook: You can access convenient on property dining (and a Ben and Jerry's!) or go off property to one of the many restaurants in Stowe or the Smugglers area. In the morning, you can sit outside on the deck, have your coffee and watch the sun come up over the beautiful mountains! Location is great. There are many activities for your kids to participate in; great pools, fun zone, etc. There is tennis, mini golf, hikiing and other activities. It's located right near the famous "Long Trail" that runs from Canada to Massachusetts. Hikes range from 10 minutes to hours if you want to. Amazing waterfalls are nearby as well. We just had a fantastic week!
