My family roots have been in the Louisville/central Kentucky area since the 1700's.
I am a real estate broker in Louisville, KY. and Columbus, OH.
My husband and I live in Columbus, OH.
I have two property managers in Louisville who manage the two furnished condos in Louisville for me.
Myrna Parsley purchased this condo in 2014
I saw immediately that this property was one of the best in Old Louisville.
We owned the other condo in this building.

Our extended family spent two nights in the 3-br condo. It is fully equipped and well furnished and very convenient to downtown Louisville. The only negative is the loud street noise in the two front bedrooms and the street lights coming through the blinds in these same rooms. Not a problem for us heavy sleepers, but light sleepers may want to use the back bedroom. The cleaning fee is a bit high that may preclude a short stay there.
The interior was nice we had everything we needed. We arrived and went directly to the air conditioner control panel as it was warm inside. It had a note taped above it telling us how to turn it on and then word for word "Do not change anything else. It is already programmed for your comfort". Well, it was very hot outside that weekend and it was OK inside the condo but, still a bit warm even after the air conditioner was turned on. I normally turn the temperature down in most places that I stay but, not here. Most everyone complained about being too warm at night while trying to sleep. The mattress' were stiff memory foam and they seemed to hold heat also. We had plenty of space for down time. I didn't really appreciate some of the rules such as no shoes inside, leave the shower doors open after use (there were only shower curtains) and dry out the washing machine if we used it? This condo is also located on a busy street day and night.
I have stayed in larger homes before and didn't have any of these problems. I do appreciate the accommodations but won't be staying again. We enjoyed Louisville and did a lot: Ziplining, Big Four Bridge, Glassworks, etc. Great restaurants everywhere.
We very much enjoyed our stay here. This townhouse reminded us of the apartment we rented while in Amsterdam, because when you enter, you ascend a flight of stairs to the main living area on the second floor and two more bedrooms are on the third floor. The unit was clean, the beds comfortable, and it was quite spacious. We enjoyed the old world charm of the neighborhood and the townhouse. There seems to be a beautiful old church on every corner. We also enjoyed the restaurants in the neighborhood - specialty crepes, barbecue, and make sure you get a burger at the Dizzy Whizz! We found the owners/managers to be quite accommodating.
This condo was clean and well stocked for the six of us. We spent most of our time out exploring KY, but began each day with breakfast made in the kitchen and ended each night with conversation around the dining table. Each of our three couples had their own bedroom (with plenty of room) and the shared living space was comfortable. The location was fine for us as we utilized hired transportation, but restaurants and shops seemed a decent walk away. We felt safe and the neighbors were friendly. The outdoor lights are bright at night and shine into the bedrooms, so I recommend an eye cover if sensitive to it. All said, this downtown condo was perfect for our needs!
Unit was clean, modern and near major attractions. Property owner/manager was super responsive with any issues/concerns. Definitely recommend.
Great house great batch great location
We stayed for a volleyball tournament in Louisville in the location is close to downtown with things to do in close to the venue as well. We felt safe in the area because it was somewhat of a college town area and it was easy access onto the highway to get wherever we wanted to get to. The house was furnished well had plenty of silverware plates and things of that nature to cook meals. It had a real Charm to the Decour and home. We are very comfortable in our stay. We would recommend it to anybody for a long weekend.

The downtown Old Louisville area was established as a result of the Southern Exposition which took place in Louisville for seven years starting in 1883.
This home and all of the old mansions located from Kentucky Avenue and the streets south between 3rd and 4th were built for the Southern Exposition.
Thomas Edison displayed his new electric light bulb at the Southern Exposition. Visitors from all over the world came to see the new light bulb and Thomas Edison.
Take a walk around this area and imagine the horse and buggies on the streets driving past the beautiful new homes in 1883.
