A piece of heaven

  • 5 of 5

Perfect in every way. Well setup with everything you could need. Porch was a great secure area to crate our dogs at night. The yard was an exceptional playground for our working border collies. We had 30 degree days and the cabin was cool inside. Such a relaxing place to come back to each day after working our dogs in Lee's camp and trial. A little piece of heaven.

Great home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

If you like nice and quite place 10 minutes from a couple of beaches and Vernon, with all the shopping and restaurants, this is a great home for you. Placed on a quite street with a huge backyard, beautiful patio and surrounded by untouched natural habitat for many kinds of birds, this place will take your mind off of everyday's struggles and the only thing you will regret is that your vacation is over.

Highly recommended!

A wonderful peaceful spot

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Mary Ellen and Bill's place for 2 weeks. I didn't want to leave to come home. It was so nice and spacious and quiet. I would sit with my new little grandson and listen to the birds and watch the little hummingbirds outside the sun porch. We would also watch the family of quails that would come out twice a day. They were very amusing to watch!! Our last night there, there was a big owl outside also. Lots of birds to listen to and watch.

We had everything we needed there, dishes, cutlery, towels, bedding, and a washer and dryer in case you had little ones that needed clothes washed.

It was a very relaxing two week stay. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for sharing your home with us. I loved it!

Lots of space inside and out, especially if you have kids

  • 3 of 5

My husband, myself, and our adult daughter stayed for 10 days in July 2017. We enjoyed the birds and other wildlife from the large windows over looking the back yard. Although we did have to give it a good cleaning to fully appreciate eating at the table right beside it. Lots of humming birds!! The deck was a bit neglected and the sunroom was unusable as the furniture, was too tired and dirty to enjoy. Fridge was not clean inside. At one time I'm sure the flower beds and plantings around the house were lovely but are now messy and over grown. Noise from the road was somewhat annoying at times. We did enjoy the country setting and it was nice not to be overlooked by neighbors. Not too far of a drive to Kal Beach or to the hiking trails.
