Kelly Rogers purchased this house in 2014
I booked this home for my bridal party to stay for my wedding (and they were flying in from different parts of the country)..... and my wedding was in the midst of Hurricane Matthew. This house served as a refuge of awesomeness for what could have been a chaotic weekend :) We all gathered in the music room, and sat out the storm (and never lost power). The bedrooms are so beautiful and HUGE-- and my guests were so happy to experience some Southern charm in this beautiful home.
Kelly (the owner) was SO amazingly helpful and responsive to everything!!! hands down-- this was the best house I have ever stayed. I really think having this house kept me sane in the midst of a hurricane wedding-- as it created great memories and fun for everyone there!!! THANK YOU KELLY!!!! Best VRBO host award :)
This is a very spacious three bedroom house with impeccable decor, a great record collection, and a very easy walk downtown. The owner is extremely conscientious. I cannot recommend staying here highly enough. My friends and I will likely make this our annual vacation spot of choice. If you go, please do yourself a favor, pick up some firewood from the grocery store, and take advantage of the backyard fire pit. This is tremendous fun in their great yard!
We had a great weekend staying at this house! It was a short walk to bars/restaurants yet far enough away that it was nice and quiet. All of the bedrooms are huge, clean, and beautifully decorated. The only concern was having one bathroom with 5 people but with double sinks, it wasn't too bad! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking to be in the downtown area!
My husband and I stayed in this house the week of our wedding in October. Everything was perfect! Kelly was easy to work with, communicated well and the house was everything as advertised and more! We really enjoyed the backyard and record player was a plus!! Will definitely rent again!
This vacation home was absolutely perfect. The decor was wonderful--chic, beautiful, cozy, and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, dishes, utensils, wine glasses, champagne flutes, pots, pans, a coffee maker with k-cups, etc. The bathroom had hair dryers and toiletries and a plethora of towels and washcloths. Even with 6 people, the one bathroom worked out fine. There are two sinks with a large counter and large mirror, so multiple people can get ready at the same time. The bedrooms were spacious and gorgeous, and the king bed was so comfortable! We didn't have children with us, but there were plenty of toys for kids, including a huge plush dog for cuddles. The weather was also perfect for sitting out on the large wrap-around porch in the evening (I think Kelly made a deal to get us good weather. It started raining as soon as we drove away).
I would definitely recommend this vacation rental to other people, especially those with large groups.
We enjoyed our stay in the house it had everything we could ask for. It was minutes away from all the action on Front street and tons of restaurants. The house was very clean and cared for. The backyard was a great place to relax after enjoying the town. I will never understand why people would choose to stay in a hotel when to can stay in a Historic 3 BR house for the same price. The house was better than I had anticipated in every way. We are already talking about our next trip to Wilmington and will be sure to book the house again.
