One Crow Cottage was so nice!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a week. We celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary during our stay. We did not want for anything during our stay. It felt like we were at home, minus all the stresses of everyday life! The owners have a binder with information on what to see and do in the towns, where to eat and all the different winery's and breweries. We called it our bible. We will definitely come to One Crow Cottage again and again!!

Perfect getaway for 2! No tv, just time together

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable cabin right on the M-119 tunnel of trees. The cabin was clean and well stocked with all the necessities upon our arrival. The Good Heart pot pie found in the freezer was an appreciated hot meal after settling in. Breakfast and coffee on the screened in porch allowed us to watch passerby’s heading north through the tunnel. The fire place was a nice touch and took the fall chill out of the air in short order. No tv in the cabin allowed my wife and I plenty of time to just enjoy one another without the noise of life interfering. A trip to Mackinaw Island capped off our stay and was a very nice day trip. Priced right for a nice, relaxing, quiet get away.

Exctly as advertised

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a cozy base camp for exploration this place is for you. All the amenities of home in a tastefully decorated and well stocked home away from home. Our week provided unseasonably warm (over 90 degrees) weather but wonderful sunshine and we were confortable the whole time.

Deep in the woods so a little dark with nature all around. Situated on an historic travelway through the wilderness of upper Michigan it can be a bit noisy what with all of the motorcycles traveling the roadway but peaceful and quiet in the mornings and evenings. We opted to take advantage of the wonderful kitchen and only ate out a few times. Loved it, and will tell all our friends.

Perfect getaway. Well stocked with everything we needed and the lake is close at hand.

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Old Crow. There were deer in the backyard and and a slight view of the lake out the front. The cottage itself is very comfortable and cozy with a wood stove that took the dampness and chill out of the evening quickly. We did clean up a small pile of dirt and a few spider webs that were overlooked by the cleaning crew. Not an issue, but something to note - we left it cleaner than we found it. The secluded beach is just up the road and down a steep and narrow drive. We had it all to ourselves for the whole day; relaxing, finding Petoskey stones, and enjoying the view. Excellent fish at Moosehead Junction which is just a few minutes away if you are able to navigate scenic Wormwood Rd (all wheel or 4 wheel drive recommended). Taking the main roads took about 20 minutes. Petoskey is a 25 minute drive and was as beautiful as ever. The Legs Inn was also a great place to eat. The rustic interior and view of the lake were just incredible. We would definitely like to come back in the fall to see the Tunnel of Trees in full bloom or in the spring to hunt morels.
