The house is a contemporary, well maintained, family oriented design with fabulous views.

This is a truly beautiful, magical property. My children and dog all loved it. The pictures don't convey just how amazing it is. The house is well stocked, well organized and has plenty of room. The views are incredible. There are so many places to just hang out and admire the scenery. Owner is very pleasant and easy to deal with. We loved the location - close to Lunenburg (which is fab) but far enough out so you have peace and quiet. Best beach in the world is 5 mins away - Sand Dollar Beach (there are other nice beaches nearby, I hear, but we liked this one so much we never explored the others). Location is also excellent for runners, if you are in to that.
Our family had a wonderful stay at the Rose Ridge Retreat. In total, our party had 8 adults who stayed and we all fit very comfortably. The only thing that wasn't clear to us ahead of our arrival is that one of the bedrooms is open to the kitchen by a staircase - this isn't the best situation as you cannot close off the sound from downstairs; however the bedroom itself was lovely.
The layout of the home is odd and a little confusing at first but the downstairs semi-open concept is great for making dinner and hanging out. Rose Ridge was clean and well equipped so that you are able to prepare meals just like you would at home. There are lovely decks surrounding the property which feels like it is in the middle of a forest but has great water views from the decks as well. The Ovens natural park is just around the corner, there is a nice beach at the end of the road and the Rose Bay convenience/liquor store is just a few minutes away.
Overall, we had a lovely experience at Rose Ridge and would recommend it as a great home base to come back to after days spent exploring the beautiful surrounding areas.
