This apartment is 712 square feet, with a large Air-conditioned Bedroom and lots of storage. The Living & Dining room is spacious and seats 6, there is also a Futon sofa which can accommodate additional sleeping arrangements. A fully equipped Kitchen offer all the amenities.

Guests can enjoy a roomy Bathroom with a large Rustic Shower. All rooms have Ceiling Fans.

Cleaning service is offered twice weekly at no additional cost. Guests can relax on the Pool Deck with a good book in Deck chairs. Outdoor dining is available.

My husband and I are a mature couple, we are both retired and were born in Barbados.

We take pride in our property and will endeavor to make our guests as comfortable as possible.

Why Elnora Hatch chose St. James

We built this property in 2008. We wanted an area that was not far from all the amenities, but still had that country-like setting with a feeling of peace and tranquility. We found all this and more.

This apartment was completed in late 2014. This is our first rental property.

What makes this apartment unique

We sit on the Pool Deck in the evening enjoying the peace and serenity at this time of the day, the gardens, the singing of the Birds and the gorgeous blue of the Pool & Sky.

Immaculate property with on site hosts

We were met on arrival by Elnora and were immediately impressed by the gardens and the accommodation which was exactly as described and could not be faulted. The accommodation is spacious for a couple and extremely well situated being walkable to a gorgeous beach, John Moore`s bar well patronised by locals and tourists, the local fish market and the bus route (yellow buses not for the feint hearted). Elnora and Robin were extremely helpful and friendly. Although not essential a car is desirable to see the rest of the island and as a relief from the walk up the hill after a hot day on the beach. We would love to return.

Peace and tranquility at your service

Our stay at Casa de Flores was amazing!!

We highly recommend this property for a home away from home vacation.

Elnora and Robin were the greatest hosts. We didn't want for anything at all. Elnora even gave us a cooking lesson on how to cook/prepare the local "flying fish" of Barbados. She even took us on a guided tour of the west side of the island to help us get our bearings.

This property is immaculate, with gorgeous flowering plants, and beautiful landscaping.

The apartment was super clean and tidy, and there was wine and chocolates waiting for us when we arrived.

This property is secluded, private, and away from the hustle and bustle of the busy places, but close enough that the action and beaches are only a few minutes away.

We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful retreat.

Thank you Elnora and Robin for an unforgettable get away!

Very nice and amazing value for money !

... we stayed with Elnora for 3 weeks over X-mas 2016 and I would like to echo the previous reviews - highly recommended.

The place is a very nice, spacious, clean, airy, well appointed and equipped souterrain "in-law" type suite. A few steps up lead to the patio overlooking the tranquil garden and pool area.

Elnora (and the maid Agnita !) are "hostesses with the mostesses" and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

Casa Flores itself is located in a small loop/cul-de-sac luxury villa enclave overlooking Lower Carlton and < 10 min walk away from the nicest and largely uncrowded beaches on the island, but I still recommend you rent a car event though the overall location is PERFECT.

Tip: Drive 10 min. to and park on Gibb's road and then walk 50 m onto Gibb's beach through the (unmarked !) access lane next to the Southwind Estate and you get to share the deserted beach with the same people who rent the 20 mio$ villa behind you for free: ;-)

Another very nice beach is St. Peter's Bay. Drive past Speightstown and the Almond Resort - after 200 m on your left at the tennis courts with the black sight blocks is the unmarked access road to the parking lot right on the beach, where you can hobnob with UK celebs. Great snorkeling/free diving (turtles, tuna, scuttlefish, conchs and the works) off the seawall at the marina entrance about 400 m of-shore. TOW A BUOY TO MAKE SURE NOT TO GET RUN OVER !!!

Tip: Have a beer and watch the sunset at John Moore's bar just down the road. (Bring some LED blinky things to enhance your traffic survival chances as you walk back up the hill in the dark !).

Tip: Buy fresh fish from the market to the left of the bar. Go to the guy on the left-most stall - he is VERY good an fair (< 20 BBD$ for 1 kg f fresh tuna or marlin).

Tip: PRC Bakery at the North end of old Speightstown - awesome cookies !!!

Great place to stay!

We stayed at Elnora's downstairs apartment for three weeks. It is a great place to stay. The kitchen is modern and well stocked with cooking equipment for your stay. Twice a week maid service was perfect. Beach towels, beach chairs and a small cooler made going to the beach easy. As we spent every day at the beach, we only used the pool a bit, but it was perfectly maintained and always available. We would recommend a car, as it would be a bit of a trek uphill from St. Alban's beach at the end of the day. A car is just convenient to have to explore the island on your own, but I must say that the bus service on the island is very reliable and if you don't mind walking down the hill about half a mile to the bus stop you could make due without a car. Massy's Supermarket in Holetown provides free Van transportation home after you have shopped there. The house is located in Carlton View, an extremely nice and safe neighborhood. The house is gated with a security system as well. We truly enjoyed our stay and Elnora's hospitality.

Fabulous Apartment

We stayed at Casa de Flores for 24 nights in January 2016

and have no hesitation in recommending this fabulous apartment.

We were warmly welcomed by Elnora and her family and shown the apartment. We were not disappointed! It is the ground floor of part of a large private house with its own access. The house is in a secluded development and is very secure. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden.

The apartment is spacious and airy, with modern attractive fittings and furniture. The kitchen is very well equipped so that it was easy to combine self-catering with visits to restaurants.

It is also spotlessly clean and the twice weekly maid service is excellent. We had no problems with the Wi-Fi connection; in fact it was excellent. If there were any problems or issues arising (we had one with UK region DVD’s) Elnora did do her best to sort them out and find a solution.

We would definitely recommend hiring a car, although our travels convinced us that the best beaches were the local ones closest to the apartment.

Casa de Flores proved to be ideal holiday accommodation for us; we appreciate peace and quite so it was a real home from home. We look forward to returning again next year, which is the best possible recommendation there is!
