When we arrived Martha (owner) met us there and personally showed us how everything worked and where everything was. First impression of interior, very clean, updated and had everything we needed and more. My boys loved the river behind the townhouse and the ducks that came to visit every morning. Bring bread and smore's supplies. The firepit was neat but we did not have time to use it. Martha supplies the wood :) Beds and bedding were comfortable. Water pressure was great and both bathrooms were very clean looked newly updated. There are some board games on the bookshelf that we enjoyed playing before bed. Remote control fireplace another neat feature. There is a grocery store just down the road for all you may have forgotten. It was truely a wonderful, worry free experience. We will definately stay again next time. Thanks Martha! :)
This condo was by far the best place we have stayed in out of all our many years of going to Red River. Martha was the best! She checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything or had any questions. The condo was very clean, it was also just like the pictures, the river is literally just steps outside the back door. We will most definitely be contacting this condo rental first for our future visits to Red River! I have already recommended this condo rental to several of my friends.
My husband and I had to book this trip at the last minute, and Martha, the owner, was so helpful and accommodating! The townhouse was fully stocked with everything that we might need. Martha even called during our stay to see if we needed anything. I can't tell you how much we loved sitting on the balcony in the mornings, eating breakfast, and relishing our view of the mountain, while listening to the gurgling of the river as it meandered by us. We arrived at the end of the Labor Day weekend, as most of the other tourists were leaving town. It was perfect timing, as we wanted to spend a peaceful, yet adventurous week together. We had been to Red River before, but it had been many years. While in town, we ate some yummy pizza at Anchovies Pizzeria, and had a tasty burger at Shotgun Willies. We set out to re-explore the Enchanted Circle. We visited the ruins of Elizabethtown and its cemetery. We drove over to the Cimarron Canyon State Park. Among the Palisades, we had a simple picnic, and my husband enjoyed some fly-fishing. We drove to see the iconic St. James hotel in the town of Cimarron. We drove a few more miles to see the Philmont Boy Scout Ranch, and we encountered many mule deer frolicking about. We shopped in Taos, and ate scrumptious Mexican food at Michael's Kitchen and Orlando's. We photographed the most incredible sunset while a storm rolled in, when leaving Taos. We bought some local pottery in Arroyo Seco. We took pictures of the scenery far below, while atop the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. We hiked down to the Rio Grande River at the Wild Rivers Recreation area North of Questa. My husband fly-fished there, as I witnessed two mountain goats statuesquely posing on a boulder at the top of the Gorge. It took about an hour for us to hike our way back up to the rim- not a feat for the weak of heart!! We had another picnic and fished at the Fawn Lakes in Carson National Forest. Other than that, we did nothing!?! We highly recommend this lovely townhouse in the heart of quaint Red River and hope to return soon!
This property was amazing! The home was warm and inviting with so many small details considered to make your vacation relaxing! The home owner, Martha, is the sweetest and so considerate of our needs! The open layout in the living/kitchen area looking out to the back yard was perfect for keeping the whole family connected from inside to outside. The back yard with fire pit and the bubbling creek full of trout was magical for our whole family.
This town home is perfect for smaller families or groups. Fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area with fireplace, nice bedrooms upstairs. And the view from the back is beautiful! We loved sitting out by the fire pit or on the back patio listening to the river. It's so peaceful and quiet. We will definitely come back another time.
This is a beautiful and cozy place. Kids loved the stream running right in the back yard. Just can't say enough about this place, great, great, great. Thank you!
