This exquisite home is tucked away in a residential neighborhood located at the center of every beach, community, downtown party and event. An easy 5-15 minute walk to everywhere or we have a pair of matching beach cruiser bicycles, an adult trike (grocery getter) and child's bike for you to ride from here to there. We provide both a 2 man fishing kayak with peddles as well as paddles to take over to the nearby islands and the local waterfront restaurants.
The Community Center with all its activities is just a 2 minute walk or 2 blocks down our street. The Olympic size pool, slides, kiddie pools, playground and band shell is on the waterfront. Soo many activities to enjoy while the boats glide by on the breeze.
Then Historic Corey Ave. with all its quaint little shops, deli's, restaurants and bars and weekly fresh markets, craft fairs and concerts in the park is just 4 blocks down our street.
There are a number of (18 and growing) restaurants, bars, beaches and activities within 6-8 blocks.
Winn Dixie the grocery store and Walgreens pharmacy and liquor is only 3 blocks. There are two beaches within an 1/2 mlle to mile walking or riding distance, Sunset Beach is the best for bands and food and Upham Beach is good for families.
The Beach Trolley will get you there and back and if you prefer to enjoy a few drinks on the beach, there are two FREE Beach Taxi services available. They work for tips.
Pets are welcomed, as I have a fenced yard and a beautifully landscaped tropical park next door to our house and a private beach area in low tides. I hope you like fishing, because you can catch your dinner nightly from our dock and grill it in the outdoor area. The address of the house is 7885 Boca Ciega Dr. You can take a look at it on a map and you will see where the house is in relation to the many places there are to visit here.
There is a 6 man hot tub on your back porch in the screened in Lanai. It is for your private use. There is a nice gas/charcoal grill and dining table in a separate area inside the Lanai as well.

A wildly independent country girl that made her way to the beach. I brought with me the southern hospitality and respect for others that I was raised with. My assistant is available to my guests to accommodate each and every concern, answer any questions and offer local guidance and suggestions.
Sherri Williams purchased this house in 2006

I spent a week at this property in mid May 2016 along with my husband, daughter and 3 year old grandson. The property was clean and well maintained. The weather was gorgeous the entire week from the 11th through the 17th. We had a wonderful week! Checking in was smooth and Ginny was accommodating to our arrival schedule. The view of the bay is fabulous and the property location was close to all we needed. We saw dolphins in the bay most evenings. We enjoyed watching the boats in the bay and the sea creatures off the dock: lots of crabs, shrimp, tiny little bloat fish and pipe fish to name a few. I enjoyed the quiet, peaceful location for relaxing after returning from our adventures out. We really never heard any neighbors the entire week. We relaxed in the hot tub nightly enjoying the view. The beds and seating were comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with any items you might need. We experienced only a couple of minor issues that were attended to and taken care of immediately by Ginny and Crabby. Those being the WiFi connection and TV connection. I loved having a washer and dryer on site. Our favorite restaurant was Caddy's on the beach due to the location and atmosphere. The food and drinks were great too. We also dined at Crabby Bills, Bubba Gumps (a tradition for us), RumFish Grille, The Melting Pot, Islamorada Fish Company (at Tampa Bass Pro Shops) and breakfast at Beverly's La Croisette. Our adventures included Johns Pass Village & Boardwalk, Shell Key Island, Treasure Island public beach, Fort De Soto Park, Clearwater Aquarium, and Dolphin Racer. I would recommend this rental.
We had a wonderful time over Memorial Day Weekend with our two dogs. The home is perfectly located near a Winn Dixie (groceries), several delicious restaurants, the beach, etc. It's well decorated, with soft sheets (most rentals have sandpaper sheets, but this place was comfy!) and has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking (if you desire). Washer Dryer in the unit was handy as well, and on cool nights the fire pit table was perfect! There was even a dog beach just south of Caddy's where our hounds had a blast running along the waves. Crabby and Ginny were wonderful and checked in on us nearly every morning to see if we had questions or needed assistance with anything. There was plenty of room and privacy in this unit. The hot tub is within the Lanai now, so it wasn't out in the hot sun. We enjoyed it! There were plenty of interesting birds and fish out by the dock, we got some great photographs. Having the dog park right next door was really convenient also! We dined at Berns Steakhouse in Tampa (celebrating a birthday), Crabby Bills (it's an annual tradition), Nina's Cafe on the Beach, Nikko Mussolini's Dog Bar and Boutique, Nori Thai, Sea Hags, Conch Republic Grill, ordered Pho & Thai food from Asian House Restaurant delivery, and taco pizza from Hungry Howies, SO many delicious options. We meant to go to Jackie's for Sunday brunch but didn't quite make it there.
Suggestions: We never could really get the WIFI to work, I got on once for maybe 5 minutes, then it lost signal again. We gave up on the WIFI after day 2 of repeated trying. Repair may be needed for master bdrm ceiling fan (wobbled a lot and hangs low, so we didn't use it), and the master bath ceiling fan didn't work at all, might just be an electrical issue. The Screen porch/Lanai area could probably use a ceiling fan or even a portable box fan to help circulate the air on hot days. The first two days there was a nice cross breeze through the porch, but the latter few days were pretty stifling until the sun went down. The front door has an automatic lock, which *does work* but you have to lean on the door a bit (not push in too far though), to get the deadbolt to line up with the hole for both locking and unlocking it. We ended up using the spare key more often than using the auto-lock feature. However, despite these minor hiccups we had a very lovely stay and look forward to renting this unit again next time we are vacationing in the area.
The view makes this unit. Having a soak in the hot tub on the bay after a day at the golf course was most enjoyable. There are plenty of linens and kitchen utensils available. Ginnie and "Crabby" were so attentive to any of our needs for the 3 months. They made us feel very safe and secure. Location of the unit is great for walking to all amenities. The local community center has great exercise classes only a block walk away. This is a triplex so expect noise from the other tenants and be prepared to share the downstairs deck and patio. Noise from the upstairs unit moving the deck furniture and walking can be very loud at times particularly in the kitchen/living room. This was not a problem with the first tenants but the next two it was disruptive at times. It is quite ok to have guests while there but it would be a good idea to limit the number of people at one time to avoid disruption to the other tenants. One unit had as many as 6 guests including toddlers at one time. As with all rental transactions, keep good records of payment. Questions come up and you want to be ready with any proof of payment.
Again, the view, the staff and location make this unit.
We just got back from a week in St. Pete. This unit is decorated so well it feels like home. Get attention to detail and the property manager is great.
Beautiful setting and great amenities as described on VRBO! Enjoyed just being @ the property to unwind after exploring the surrounding area. Walking distance to grocery store and good pizza. Great area restaurants and easy to travel from to check out nearby St. Petersburg (Dali Museum), Tampa (Busch Gardens, Ybor City) and Clearwater (Aquarioum, First Hooters Restaurant). Saw dolphins, crabs and lots of lizards! Owner was also a great host!
We loved loved our stay at boca ciega way it was very nice and loved the dock and that we could fish at night and watch Dolphins in the evening.! All the guest there at the same time where great and friendly. John was a big up to us answered all of our questions! We would highly recommend it to anyone!
