Perfect for a family reunion, a corporate retreat, or simply a vacation with nearly two dozen of your nearest and dearest, Twin Cedar Lodge offers luxury in a delightfully rustic setting. This stunning custom-built log home is in North Chalet Village, just a 10-minute drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, so you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to ways to while away your days.
Granted, there’s plenty to do without leaving the lodge or the community grounds. The 7,000-square-foot, 4-story house has its own indoor swim spa and sauna, an outdoor hot tub, a home theater with a 70” screen and a Bose surround-sound system, an arcade room complete with a pool table and a Ms. Pacman machine, and even a playhouse for the kids on one of the 3 spacious decks overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains. Just a quick walk away are North Chalet Village’s 3 outdoor pools, 2 children’s pools, tennis courts, and clubhouses.
As for Twin Cedar Lodge itself, “spectacular” is the only word to do it justice. The wood floors, walls, and ceilings glow, and the furnishings offer both comfort and charm. The spacious great room, for instance, pairs luxurious leather sofas with folksy rocking chairs; a stone-surround gas fireplace complements the multiple ceiling fans. Whether you’re watching TV, reading, playing cards, or simply taking in the amazing views, this room is designed for utter relaxation.
Every one of the home’s 11 bedrooms is a master suite, complete with a king-size bed, a private bath, and cable TV. Along with an entrance ramp, there’s an elevator for the bottom 3 floors, so that 7 of the bedrooms are easily accessible to anyone unable to walk stairs. Need still more sleeping space? The arcade room’s sofa opens into a bed for 2, so that Twin Cedar Lodge can sleep 24 people in all.
Ten of the 11 bedrooms have direct access to a deck or a porch—and really, there’s nothing better than waking up to mountain views and rejuvenating breezes! The decks are furnished with tables and chairs (including rockers!), so you can savor your morning coffee, a romantic nightcap, or even entire meals outdoors.
The dining room, though, is just as stunning a place to enjoy a meal. The expansive table can seat up to 24 people, and a wall of windows looks out onto the mountains. Adding to the view: A 24-foot-high cedar is mounted within the window frames, and on the opposite side of the table is the one-of-a-kind staircase, handcrafted of cedar trunks and limbs. It’s easy to see how Twin Cedar Lodge got its name!
Like the dining room, the kitchen can easily—and beautifully—accommodate a crowd. It’s equipped with 2 refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, and dishwashers. There’s also plenty of counter space and elbow room, perfect if you and your guests want to have a bake-off or rustle up a 7-course feast.
Among Twin Cedar Lodge’s other amenities are a washer and a dryer—you can pack light and return home with a suitcase full of clean clothes!—bedding, bath towels, tableware, and cookware. Internet access and unlimited long-distance calling make it easy to stay in touch with friends and family back home (go ahead and post photos of your fabulous digs on Facebook and Instagram!). With 14 TVs and 10 DVD players, there won’t be any arguments about what to watch, and the 8 parking spaces make it easy for people to come and go as they please, whether it’s to visit Dollywood; enjoy white-water rafting, fishing, or boating; hike among waterfalls in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most visited national park in the country; or simply shop and dine in town.
No matter how you spend your days, you’ll relish returning to the bucolic beauty, cozy convenience, and rustic refinement of Twin Cedar Lodge. So why delay? Book your stay at what might be the most luxurious log cabin you’ll ever experience.
