The Honee's House is a beautiful & majestic custom built luxury home that will delight all. Designed and built by Owners, architect by the prominent Melvin Green Architects. The foyer flows into a magnificently created dual entry staircase, that blends cherry hardwood and travertine tile embraced with custom designed wrought iron railings. It ascends to the primary living quarters, a game room and media room.
The master bedroom suite encompass more than 400sq ft. Guests walk upon plush carpet in the sleeping area and natural majestic travertine and marble stone in the bathroom. The stand alone shower, situated in the midst of bathroom, is certainly a center piece of the suite. The multi-jet Jacuzzi tub is a fine accentuating feature that truly embellishes the elegance and style of this contemporary home.
The Other Rooms and Bedrooms:: Four bedrooms are located on the second floor, while one is easily accessible on the ground floor. Each bedroom readily accommodates at least 2 adults comfortably. One of the rooms, the 'game room' has a pool table suitably placed for guests entertainment as well as an additional room for visual/media entertainment. Additionally the house is Wi-Fi ready for easy and convenient Internet access.
The Rest of the House:: When guests open the front door, straight ahead are nicely frosted double doors that lead to a huge and extravagant kitchen and nook, alongside separate dining and living rooms. The kitchen has all state of the art stainless steel appliances, including a built in microwave oven, a wine cooler, and a trash compactor. The counter tops were cut from 100% Italian granite slabs and the cabinets are a soft oak tinged in a soft champagne pink. The floors are covered with a light elegant travertine tile that glistens in sunlight.
Large, beautiful home. We all enjoyed having our own bedroom.
Kim was super responsive. The hot water heater broke down and she sent a repairman out asap to fix.
Short easy uber trip to the strip. We are already talking about our next reunion!
We just stayed there this past weekend and were "wowed" by the space this home provides. I am a frequent VRBO user and have experienced many homes and owners. This owner was very accommodating and understanding of our needs. She was very flexible and easy to work with. This home served our needs perfectly for a group of 11:
1. a place to sleep (7 adults & 4 teenage girls)
2. huge kitchen & dining space to have an early breakfast before heading out to the tournament and to prep snacks and sandwiches to hold us over throughout the tournament.
3. plenty of bathrooms and shower space
4. plenty of living space to avoid feeling like you're on top of one another similar to being in a hotel room
4. ample parking for four cars & NO RESORT/PARKING FEES!!
I would definitely consider returning to this home when traveling with a large group to Vegas.
People aren't prone to reading lengthy reviews, so I'll start w/ Pros/Cons, then elaborate below. I'll only state facts.
- communication/response (~1 business day response time)
- odd layout downstairs
- uncomfortable beds
- broken/damaged fixtures
- 4 “bedrooms” upstairs share 1 bath
- upstairs bathtub was clogged, fills while showering, hair floats up
- no TV downstairs
- the listing shows “jacuzzi” under “Pool/Spa”. There’s no pool/spa.
- sleeps 11, but only 6 mugs, 6 plates, 4 dining chairs, 3 bar stools
We stayed at Honee's House for 7 nights in early Feb. We booked this house because we needed to house 8-9 people, and this house fit that requirement. The house is large, but lacking on basic comforts. Before our stay I informed the owner that we intended to watch the Super Bowl as a group, but she didn’t bother to tell me there is no TV downstairs or that we’d need to provide our own. There are small TVs in the bedrooms, but none for group viewing.
The beds were shockingly uncomfortable. With only the exception of the master bedroom and 1 other room, the mattresses were thin and you could feel every spring. They were creaky, and since many of us were sharing bedrooms, it made it impossible for one guest to come in late or get up early without bothering the other. The only window coverings in the bedrooms were thin white mini-blinds, so there was little hope of sleeping past sunrise. After a few “Vegas nights”, this was painful.
Many plumbing/lighting fixtures were in need of attention. The light fixture in the hallway bath was broken and missing a light. In the same bathroom, the tub was clogged, so when showering the tub would fill with water to your ankles. While doing so, other people’s hair would float up and swim around your feet.
The listing showed “Jacuzzi” in the category marked “Pool/spa”, indicating an outdoor hot tub/jacuzzi. This is not the case. There is a jacuzzi bathtub upstairs.
There are 5br and 3.5ba as advertised, and we used the media room as a bedroom, as suggested in the listing. The main br had a private bath, as did the downstairs br. But that meant that all other upstairs rooms (3br + media room) shared a bath. This would have been good to know before we booked.
In conclusion, with the exception of the jacuzzi, we found the house to be just as it was listed. But these are things I wish I knew before I booked, so I leave them here so future travelers can be made aware
This house easily accommodated our family of 10. There a few minor things that need attention, but nothing that impacted our stay. Overall, we enjoyed the privacy of the rooms.
So this home was very clean and very nice, I went to Vegas for my 50th Birthday and rented it with some friends and it was perfect for us. We just needed an economical place to rest our heads when we were not seeing the sights. If I had to be critical I would say that it would have been nicer if there was a small package with just some hand/shower soap but we all traveled with those travel size ones that you take from the hotels. We cooked a big breakfast casserole for the few morning we had there and went out the rest of the time. Not a lot of cooking supplies there but it is enough to get by with the breakfast we made.
This glamorous mini-mansion is located within a gated community and in close proximity to supermarkets, a major beverage retailer, as well as a variety of restaurants. A typical ride to or from the airport is between 12 and 15 minutes. We are conveniently located near Flamingo Blvd and within a leisurely 6 - 8 minutes drive into the heart of the relentlessly fun & exciting Las Vegas Strip! The night lights of Belagio, Palazzo, Caesar's Palace and the Stratosphere light the sky and are easily visible from the master bedroom suite.
Las Vegas offers much more than gambling, there are helicopter fly byes, trips to the grand canyon or surrounding cities. The magnificent Hoover Dam is less than an hour's drive from the property and Lake Meade is a short scenic ride away. Come one come all and relax during your Las Vegas stay - with an abundance of comfort and an elegant style sought by many but enjoyed by only the fortunate few!
