Lovely apartment with beautiful views!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I just had our second stay here. I couldn't recommend it more highly! Downtown Montpelier is a very quaint and interesting place to explore. The apartment (although up a very steep and windy road - 4-wheel drive is an asset!) is a perfectly comfortable, tasteful and inviting place to stay. The whirlpool bath with a view is amazing. Cleanliness is impeccable. Jody, the property manager, is such a sweet person. My boyfriend was feeling sick and she made the effort to bring him over some medicine and the menu to a Thai restaurant known for its curative soups...thanks so much, Jody! He recovered and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back, maybe in the summer this time.

Great little apartment and a comfortable stay

  • 5 of 5

I came in late December for an extended (10-night) stay during the VCFA writing program. The apartment is up a steep hill but very close (3 blocks) to downtown Montpelier. If it hadn't been so icy the location would have been perfect. As it was, I didn't mind the mile walk to campus despite the cold, at least until I came down with the flu later in the week. Special thanks to Jody for all her help while I was sick, and doing her best to help make me feel comfortable.

The apartment itself is a good size for one or two people. Clean, nice little kitchen, comfortable and cozy living room. Has everything you could need other than a washer/dryer, but the laundromat is at the bottom of the hill and very convenient. Great views from the deck even in the winter, overlooking the town, and I'm sure the views are even better in the summer.

Thanks to John and Melanie for letting me use the place, and for Jody's help as well!

The best place to stay in Montpelier

  • 5 of 5

This was a gem of an apartment. Every one was so incredibly friendly, it's a 5 minute (or less) walk to town and the pictures posted dont do this lovely apartment justice. The view of the city is spectacular

Storybook Christmas Winter Wonderland

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I spent a wonderfully restful, cozy and homey Christmas in this apartment in Montpelier. You have views of the entire town straight from the apartment's many windows (great daylight!). Jody, the property manager, went out of her way to make our stay as seamless and enjoyable as possible (thank you, Jody!). It was a fantastic getaway from NYC. I imagine it is good any time of year but I'll remember our Christmas there for years to come. Blissful!

gorgeous cozy space

  • 5 of 5

I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this place. We stayed for a weekend of hiking on a freezing cold weekend and the apartment was just so lovely. So many amazing details, woodwork and lighting. We felt very warm and at home and I would love to spend another weekend this winter. Montpellier is a great town and you can walk to it if you wanted. Jody was super accomidating and called a couple days prior to our stay and met us as we arrived to show us around. Great place, great stay. Thank you for opening your home to us.
