Perfect Romantic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The pictures and description do not do the property justice. Place was extremely clean, well equipped and wonderfully warm and comfortable. The decorating is very tasteful and they have done wonders with a small space. The view perched above a bend in the Lehigh River is beautiful. We saw a bald eagle soar by just before we left. We plan on returning for each of the four seasons. Shopping for whatever you need is minutes away.

Secluded Romantic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Upon our snowy arrival we drove onto a cleared parking area and shoveled walking path into our lodge. Everything was covered in glistening beautiful snow. The lodge front door opens into an intimate cozy kitchen with modern day accents. As we walked through the lodge we were overwhelmed with the picturesque view of the snow covered trees and icy river.

The sounds of the running river behind the lodge is therapeutic. The lodge is a perfect retreat to get away from your daily hustle and bustle. The home has a tasteful decor while it's also fully equipped for your daily needs. Kitchen utensils, towels, linens, book shelves with brochures and magazines.

A beautiful Stain glass window in the dining room, a large cozy fireplace and large sliding glass doors in the living room made for the best mountain experience. I highly recommend this home for a mountain getaway. Rest and relaxation is just how we wanted to spend our honeymoon. Thank you Grant

Wonderful!!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful lodge. Pictures can not do this place justice. From the sounds of the river to the smell of the fire place and the tasteful decor, this place can't be beat. We had just such a peaceful time. Great escape from the city and easy drive. Our pup was happy too!

Perfect getaway spot

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have nothing bad to say about this home - it was comfortable, very clean, and had one of the best back yards we've come across! (Not to mention the awesome fireplace...)

We were looking for a spot to spend a long weekend - we planned on skiing, eating out a couple of nights, and then spending our remaining time relaxing in the quiet with our dog. This home was close to Big Boulder and Jack Frost, and close to a few of our favorite restaurants in Lake Harmony. (It was also nearby to a Wawa, which came in handy the day we had to head back home!)

The home itself had everything we needed - coffee maker, comfy beds, and such a cozy living room equipped with a wood-burning fireplace. (The home also had linens, towels, and paper products at no extra charge [not to mention some thoughtful hotel-like toiletries], a deal which seems harder and harder to come by in rental homes!) There was also an incredible screened-in porch overlooking the backyard (we can't wait to come back and visit in the spring so that we can spend everyday sitting out there). The backyard itself was right on the river, so it was extremely peaceful - and just beautiful. There was a fire pit and grill for us to use out there, so we were able to enjoy being outside even in February!

I know the Poconos tend to get crowded during the ski months, and lots of the homes in the area rent out at super-high prices. So my husband and I still can't believe we were able to score this place for such a great price, especially considering it literally had everything you'd need to feel right at home. Grant was also great to work with, answering all of my questions right away, and making a few special accommodations for us to ensure our stay was perfect.

As I mentioned above, we can't wait to come back and visit again - I'm sure this home would be the perfect getaway during any season.
