This house is even more beautiful and spacious than the pictures let on.
Roberta was really kind and accommodating about meeting us to let us in the house.
Everything was very clean and we didn't really lack for anything.
7 of us stayed here for a bachelor weekend, we were only 30 minutes from canoeing, and sporting clay shooting. The neighborhood is incredibly beautiful. Having enough sleeping space for everyone to be comfortable and the game room and the outdoor deck with the grill was really all we needed in a place to stay. It was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.
This home was truly remarkable and the owners were truly accommodating.
It was the worst experience ever. DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY !!! There is no air-conditioning which they did not mention on the website . When we arrived the property was literally a sauna . I had my baby we called the broker she said there is nothing she could do . I called evolve quite a few times they said they contacted the owner it's been a week and a half and still haven't heard from the owner. Again DO NOT RENT ...NO AIR-CONDITIONING !!!!!! Worst experience ever .
The top floor gets humid in the afternoon when the sun is out. Mind you there is no air conditioning. It gets unbearable to stay upstairs for long for that reason. I wished the patio had stairs leading to the downstairs to the lawn area. It would be more convenient.
Thanks for the chance to spend time together white-water rafting, hiking, swimming. The description is accurate. We enjoyed cooking in with the fully equipped kitchen. This house offers such an interesting respite.
My family and I stayed here with a friend with the intention of a couple days in the country. We wanted something that would be good with kids. Overall the property is as beautiful as the pictures make it seem and it has most of what you would need to live for a few days. I had 2 issues with our stay. The first is that when we arrived, there were 3 people hanging out in the basement and front patio smoking. One of them was assigned to check us in. After they left we noticed that the entire basement area smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We decided to let this slide since the upper areas of the home were large enough.
As we walked up the stairs I noticed how incredibly hot it was and asked about air conditioning. The hostess said that once we opened the windows and turned the ceiling fans on it would be comfortable. This turned out not to be the case
We were all unable to sleep the first night, because the barn does not have any air-conditioning. Our young children were also unable to sleep. The next day I contacted the property manager to let her know that we could not stay another night in those conditions but she never returned our message and we were forced to leave.
All in all I would only recommend this barn in the fall or winter with older children and adults. I think that the temperature issue is probably known to the owner and for that reason feel that we should have been informed prior to arrival since this is supposed to be a luxurious property rental.
I did eventually get in touch with the owner a few weeks after our stay and let her know our experience. She was willing to refund approximately 5% of our cost which I felt was inadequate given that we were completely uncomfortable and forced to leave early.
