We are a professional family from Iowa who has been coming to Winter Park for more than a decade for outdoor activities.
The Owner purchased this townhome in 2011
Our kids learned to ski in Montana, and we have skied many places across the West. Friends and great annual lift pass deals first brought us to Winter Park; we fell in love and have continued to come back.
As our children have grown, we decided to make Winter Park a permanent destination for family reunions and get-togethers. We are happy to share our home with you and hope to see many repeat visits!
We inspected nearly 50 properties across the Fraser Valley when looking to buy, and this unit had a unique combination of three benefits that caused us to name it the 'Hidden Gem of Winter Park':
Benefit #1 -- a great location, central to all area activities, and within walking distance to town, with free shuttle right there
Benefit #2 - despite this proximity, the Timber Lake development has privacy and beauty, with its conservation easement, pond and tasteful landscaping
Benefit #3 - the townhome unit itself is light and open and airy with a great floor plan and beautiful appointments and design. Truly a gem!
Highly recommended! We stayed for 4 nights and felt at home from the minute we arrived until the time of our (reluctant) departure. The place is in mint condition, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen facilities are great. Only minutes to town or the ski slopes, but you’d never know it when looking out the windows as all you see are trees. Very quiet; we didn’t hear the neighbors even once. Because we were skiing, it was great to have access to the washer/dryer and to be able to cook our own meals. We also enjoyed the hot tub (with mood lighting), the fireplace and playing Trivial Pursuit, which our kids found in the well-stocked game cabinet. Another plus was the helpful collection of guides and brochures the owners put out on a table near the kitchen. It was also nice being able to park in a garage, because it snowed every night. We would definitely return!
Had a wonderful stay. The condo was just great. It is clean and comfortable, and feels new. The best part is that you feel like your staying in a quiet, secluded place in the woods, but it is just minutes away from everything. A minute to shopping and restaurants, and maybe five minutes to the ski area. We were also pleasantly surprised with all the amenities, including soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. Loved the fireplace too. Plus games for our kids. Overall, one of the top VRBOs we've stayed at. Highly recommended!
We loved this 3 bedroom home and would absolutely come back to stay again!!! Very clean and bright inside with lots of elegant decorations. Easy to access and right near the ski resort/restaurants. The hot tub was such a treat for us to use after a long day of skiing. Would recommend this to anyone who is wanting to go to Winter Park, Colorado.
This beautiful vacation home worked wonderfully well for two families travelling together (total of 7). Lots of comfortable living space, lovely big dining room table, spacious bedrooms and two full, large bathrooms. The beds and linens were top quality and ultra comfortable. We enjoyed the big working kitchen and lovely outdoor deck. The neighbourhood was quiet and scenic, as promised! Great bike and hiking trails, and it was lovely to come home at the end of the day for a nice soak in the private hot tub! Spacious, clean, well-equipped laundry room was a great bonus! We would recommend this home highly to anyone seeking a quiet, comfortable retreat in a beautiful peaceful setting.
We had such a great time! The condo was gorgeous, really clean, cozy and really quiet. You have all the amenities you can think about. It is at a fews minutes by walks to downtown Timber Lake which is a really nice ski/mountain bike village with really good restaurants, walks, etc. Neighbors are really friendly and helpful.
The beds are really confortable, the main bath is huge, the Spa is really clean (in fact they change the water every time newcomers arrives, so it can't get cleaner than that).
I am sure you will enjoy that place as much as we did!
Good location just off of downtown Winter Park, it was easy to find driving in. It is a short walk to shuttle stop, which took us everywhere we needed to go from the mountain, to Fraser for bowling and tubing, and back. The owners were good to work with. Good communication and detailed instructions on the property from using wifi/cable, hot tub instructions, check out info, etc. It was the perfect spot for our group. Very nice place. All 8 of us were very comfortable. Will definitely look to book again for our next ski trip!
The property directly abuts the Arapaho National Forest with all related activities. Nearby attractions include the Town of Winter Park, Winter Park Resort and Mary Jane, Lake Granby and Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, six wilderness areas, four local golf courses, Fraser and Colorado Rivers, Devil's Thumb resort, and Hot Sulfur Springs.
