Fantastic duplex, great location, accommodating owners, recommended.

If you are looking for a good value base to explore either Manhattan or Brooklyn then look no further. This Brownstone Duplex has been restored to a very high level - fully equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms with showers with a great open plan kitchen/dining area. There were 6 of us and there was plenty of space and beds to put us all in, certainly did not feel crowded. The WiFi was good (met the demands of my 4 teenage children!), plus having cable TV meant after a day sightseeing around NY, we could relax with a film etc.

The location itself is excellent, a short walk from Fulton Street and subway into Manhattan on either the A or C lines - there are a number of local places to eat, takeaways and supermarkets to get food. The neighbourhood is safe and friendly with the added benefit of being a few blocks away from the hustle of Fulton Street so nice and quiet at night.

Finally the owners were able to meet a couple of specific requirements regarding our arrival, and the guy that met us was very friendly, helpful and very welcoming, especially after a red-eye flight from LA and some subway issues!!

Overall I cannot recommend this duplex enough - thank you!

Great house, great service!

The house is beautiful, really convenient, well equipped. The service is awesome (late arrival due to plane delays, help to go to the train station, to book a cab...).

To go Manhattan it's some walk and train... some do that everyday to go to work easy to do on vacation if you don't have small children.

Not a lot around (restaurants, shopping).

At the end for 5 with teens it was a top place!

Nice place

We rented this apartment for our visit to NYC. This was a family vacation with 4 young teens, and 3 adults. Everything was as described. The owner's assistant met us there and helped us with luggage and walked us to a nearby grocery store. The nearest subway station to get you into NYC is about a half mile walk, which was manageable for us. The apartment was recently renovated, in nice condition and clean.

This home was a welcome nest for two couples after long days enjoying Brooklyn. The owners have attentively restored wood trim and installed modern appliances. A beautiful property. It is a transitional neighborhood, so the neighborhood grocery is only average. But there is a gem of a French restaurant in walking distance - the L'Antagoniste that we highly recommend.

The owner/manager was very attentive to any issues in the property, which I appreciate. I recommend guests check with the owner about the availability of minor amenities/supplies - so as not to be surprised if not available.

Parking was sufficient, which was a pleasant surprise!

We would return if we travel to the Bed/Stuy area!!

Beautiful Home in Bed-Stuy

For our trip to NYC we were pretty choosy about our housing arrangements and this lovely home exceeded my expectations. The house is beautifully redone and was more than large enough for our party of 6 adults, it could have accommodated a couple of extra people easily on the futon style couches in the living room. The three bathrooms with showers made it easy for us to get ready in the morning without waiting on others in the house. Access was easy to the local C train and the express A train, just about a 10-15 minute walk. There were many corner stores within a few blocks that offered a wide variety of groceries and food options and there were several nice looking restaurants on the way to the subway. This is a perfect spot for a group to stay if you value having extra space and a nice home to return to at the end of a long day of walking around the city.

Maison en tout point conforme au descriptif , bien équipée avons apprécié la terrasse au petit déjeuner , propriétaire facilement joignable parlant français . Située dans un quartier calme avec voisinage agréable proche du métro et de petits commerces et d'une bonne pizzeria . Même si le logement est un peu éloigne du centre de Manhattan nous le recommandons
