What makes this cabin unique

This property is well structured with a complete fenced in yard which is idea for children and anyone traveling with a pet. We do offer a pet package $50 flat rate for two dogs which includes Food and water bowls, pet bed, and endless treat jar. We have made exceptions in the past for three dogs however the pet fee then goes to $100. The fee is applied to a special cabin dehairing cleaning, flea and tick cabin bombing and yard clearing. Of course we ask each guest to clean up after their dog. We are animal lovers and pet owners ourselves and know the challenges to traveling with a pet or pets. We also in cases of more than two dogs take an extra security deposit. In over a year renting we have never had one problem with a pet and have returned 100% of security deposits for pet owners.

Guestbook comments from the manager

What a wonderful place to getaway! The cabin couldn't have been cozier with its little fireplace and huge fenced-in yard for the doggies. Adorable, lakeside decor and well-equipped with all the essentials. We spent some time on the screened-in front porch just enjoying the scenery. Wendy, the property manager was so pleasant and helpful and Elizabeth, the owner was gracious and flexible when we decided to extend our stay an extra evening. An absolutely serene and relaxing place to escape to!!! Would return in a heartbeat!

the cottage was pristine, and spotless, total bliss!

  • 5 of 5

the appointments in the cottage could not have been nicer. beautifully decorated with a nautical theme.

although we didn't do much cooking, we could have! the kitchen had everything one could possibly need to prepare a feast.

wonderful large walk-in shower.

we brought our own books, however our hosts thoughtfully provided us with plenty of enticing books of their own.

last but not least, our dog was provided with amenities of his own. he gives the vacation 5 woofs!

as do we.

Wonderful private cozy cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Our travelers consisted of 3 adults and 2 dogs. There is plenty of room for more people to stay. We thought the cabin was great - very comfortable and clean. The screened in porch was a nice feature. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools, gadgets, pans, and dishes you could need. Our dogs loved romping around in the fenced in yard. We would recommend other travelers with dogs heeding the owner's wish on supervising dogs in the yard because there are gaps near the two fence gates that smaller or escape-artist type dogs may circumvent. We visited four different state parks to hike with our dogs - and were pleasantly surprised to find out PA parks have free admission (unlike in our home state of NY). All parks were an hour or less from the cabin. We had a campfire in the fire pit every night. The fire pit area has logs and a picnic table to sit on but we brought our own fold up camp chairs for comfort. The cabin setting is wooded and private - no traffic going by and just the sounds of crickets at night. For those worried about cell signal we were able to get a bar or two for AT&T and Straight Talk in the yard but not inside the cabin. We didn't mind the lack of cell because we wanted to unplug. Definitely would stay again and recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

The perfect little hide away...

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is exactly how the descriptions and the picture state. It was a great little get away. Close enough to the boat ramp but far enough away where we actually had some great family time. Be warned those with teenagers there is "NO SERVICE" at the cabin at-least with ATT. It was fabulous not to see cell phones in hand 24/7. Elizabeth is great to talk to and will respond quickly with questions. The only surprise we had was the driveway was a bit steep which caught us off guard at first pulling our boat up but plenty of room once you reach the top. We didn't take our dogs this time but it would be the perfect place to rent for dog, the fenced in yard is very nice.
