Great Family Gathering
We were in Acadia for the Night Sky Festival. The weather in the evenings did not cooperate for star gazing, but we had such a great stay in the farmhouse, we didn't mind. The multiple rooms worked great for family to enjoy their own spaces. The location was so convenient to head into Bar Harbor, or to the Visitor Center for the Park. The little touches, like lots of towels, tissues and toilet paper in the bathrooms, and a well stocked kitchen made the stay very enjoyable. And Trish is such a sweetheart! She responded quickly to all inquiries before the trip with helpful suggestions. Just an FYI - C-Ray Lobster has a great selection of lobster and they were super nice, but does not have other fish for sale. Parsons Lobsters had a wide selection of fresh fish. We hope to return and stay at one of Trish's properties again in the future.
Perfect Maine Getaway
My husband and I invited our families to stay in this home as we got married in Acadia National Park. We hosted a dinner on the deck which was the perfect space for entertaining. We were amazed by the cleanliness of the property and appreciated all of the small details each room had to offer. Though we had a large amount of people in one place, the house was plenty big enough for everyone to have their own space! Trish was very responsive and a wonderful host. We will forever cherish the memories that were made at this beautiful home and hope to return in the future.
We were a family group of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean, nicely furnished, and very comfortable. Trish was quick to respond to questions and very welcoming. Access to Acadia National Park is easy and also easy access to Bar Harbor shops. Highly recommended!
Perfect Resting Spot for our Wedding
From start to finish we loved our stay at this beautiful home. It was impeccably maintained and cleaned. So comfortable and cozy. We hosted a large family for our wedding in September and everyone raved about the home. The owner was just so lovely to work with - very responsive and generous. We truly cannot recommend this house enough! Wish we could have stayed for longer! Thanks for everything Trish!
Warm welcoming home
Great location for extended family!
Wonderful place to stay in Bar Harbor with extended family
This charming yet spacious old farmhouse was a perfect place to stay for our extended family as we celebrated my mother's 80th birthday, and my daughter's 25th birthday. The location made for easy access to the town of Bar Harbor with all its restaurants, shops, and activities, as well as Acadia National Park with all of its hiking trails, biking paths, and lakes and ponds where we could swim, kayak, and picnic. When we weren't out and about, the house itself was a great place to relax on the large porch, enjoy games in the expansive yard, and cook meals in the open, well-appointed kitchen. The bedrooms all had clean, comfortable beds and pillows, and were nicely decorated. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of fluffy towels. The laundry room was centrally located to most of the bedrooms, and was well stocked with supplies including laundry detergent, tissues, paper towels, air fresheners, and hair dryers. The owner, Patricia, was very friendly, easy to contact, and responsive to our questions and needs. She gave us special permission to bring our two dogs, so they were able to enjoy all the dog-friendly activities in the area, which they truly seemed to enjoy. I definitely recommend this house for large groups or extended families to stay in Bar Harbor.
Hulls Cove is a quiet and beautiful little cove just 3 miles from downtown Bar Harbor. The sun rises over the water and the Porcupine islands, each morning; the sky and sea delight the eye. Some days the islands are draped in fog and the water looks like silver. Other days the water sparkles like diamonds and countless shades of blue. It is ever changing and always breathtaking. At the Hulls Cove General Store you can pick up coffee, a newspaper and grocery items or board the free Island Explorer shuttle bus. The Chart Room Restaurant offers delicious dining right on the water or pop into Peppers for pizza and calzones.
Lake Wood is just up the road. It is part of Acadia and a great place to swim. Bullfrogs like it too!
