Ilan Sibony is a man of taste. His talents in cuisine, architecture and design are brought together in the Darna Moroccan restaurant he owns where both the décor and the food exude the exotic flavour of his native land.
Recently Ilan has opened little studios that host tourists from all over the globe, and like in Darna, he has paid special attention to detail, to art, to those little touches that make holidaying at his apartments a warm and welcoming experience.
I, an American senior citizen, stayed at the Studio for 2 weeks in February 20112. The Studio was positive in all respects - heating system very quiet, good heater in bathroom, new micro, hot plate, hot water at all times, bed very firm and comfortable with 2 down comforters, wifi was fast and always working, TV cable had my Fox News plus lots of extras, neighbors were helpful and friendly, and the couscous lunch at landlord's owned restaurant was under $20 and delicious. The Israeli Nesher sherut van to airport was fast and good price of 60 shekels ($15) compared to the expensive taxi I took into J'lem for $45. I enjoyed the Studio and the shops, grocery, expresso cafe on Emek Refaim. Bus #18 got me all around town. Arab bus 21 only 4 blocks east of Studio got me fast and inexpensively to Bethlehem and back. Thank you, Ilan, for your hospitality.
