Centrally located Studio located in the heart of SOMA (South of Market) district. Located on the 1st floor in a 10 unit complex. Central location to restaurants, transportation, Moscone Convention center, and shopping.
Spacious studio was renovated in 2014 and is fully furnished with everything new. Stay for meetings at the Moscone Convention Center, located less than 1 mile. Or stay for fun and explore the sights of San Francisco.
Parking is available on Langton St. and surrounding streets in the neighborhood. Most streets have parking restrictions throughout the day, but at night there are no restrictions. Please keep in mind you are trying to park downtown San Francisco and finding a parking place is not guaranteed. There are parking garages in the area, within 3-4 blocks, that are available for a nominal fee. Rental prices do not include any expenses you incur to park a vehicle.
I attended a conference at the Moscone Center, and came out a week ahead of time to be a tourist. Easy walk to the conference center, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Bed, Bath & Beyond and many small coffee shops and restaurants, and to public transportation (BART, buses, cable cars, etc.). The area is slightly sketchy, but so is Market Street in some areas. I never felt uncomfortable. Highly recommend this place as an alternative to expensive hotels.
Joy was a pleasure to deal with. Place is very clean but quite small. Neighbourhood was a bit sketch but fine for a business traveller like myself. Difficult to enter unit with a combination of keys and door codes but I got used to it. Very fair accommodations for the price.
I was able to park my car in a pay to park lot 2 blks away for 30 dollars a day.. We enjoyed our stay and saw everything in San Francisco.
The location of the studio is not great, it's in the alley and quite far from the Moscone Convention Center. I did not feel safe staying here. It is also difficult to enter the building, requiring multiple key pad access. As I entered the building, I can smell neighbors cooking. The studio is small, no laundry facility. The owner is nice, however, slow to respond to emails. I moved the next day to find a better location. The owner is kind enough to agree to refund me the nights that I didn't stay there (booked for 5 nights but only stayed 1 night), and she did call to let me know that that a refund will be processed, but very slow in the refund process. Have not had the refund so far after 3 weeks.
A nice small room with a bath. The place was spotless. Joy, our host, was very good at providing instructions and accommodated get our arrival a couple hours early. The neighborhood is SOMA and as such a little on the "edgy" side so you should know there will likely be people sleeping on the corner and the street will be cluttered with trash--but that is SOMA. Our apartment was on street level and did not have air conditioning and was a little stuffy as we were somewhat afraid to open the window even thought it had bars. A small fan would be a nice addition to the property.
The studio is small but has plenty of room for a short stay in SF. There is no heat source (other than the cooking oven) so it was a bit chilly in the SF winter, but fine as long as you're wearing a sweater.
