How long is it since you saw a fish leap in sun-dappled water?

From my delightful one-bedroom apartment, you can look out over the lovely pool area to the beautifully clear aquamarine water of Bell Channel beyond. Watch the sparkling white pleasure craft sail by throughout the day. Admire the reflections during the calm early morning and evening times and watch for those fish breaking the surface. If you feel so-inclined you could even try to catch some!

The unit consists of an entrance hall, one bedroom with a queen size bed and ample storage, a living/dining room, kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are light and airy with ceiling fans and air-conditioning and the kitchen is well equipped with excellent appliances. The living/dining room has one whole wall of glass doors opening onto the balcony - perfect for al fresco dining!

The attractive pool area is well furnished with a bar on the waters edge where you can relax with a cool drink and enjoy the waterside location.

Beauport Court: The apartment is located in the sought after Lucaya area, just minutes walk from beautiful white sand beaches and the ever-popular Port Lucaya Marketplace with its lively atmosphere, colourful shops and restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.

The buildings of Beauport Court are two-storey, white-walled and red-roofed in the attractive Spanish style and set in neatly landscaped ground with palm trees and other tropical foliage. The attractive pool area is well furnished with a bar on the waters edge where you can relax with a cool drink and enjoy the waterside location.

There are laundry facilities on the complex. Public buses are available at the end of the street and a well-stocked supermarket can be reached by a two minute bus ride or a fifteen minute walk.

Car and scooter rental are also available at the end of the street

Location and Amenities: The island boasts an excellent infrastructure for modern day living, including good roads, public transport and reliable power, telephone and utilities.

There are also several championship standard golf courses, world class scuba diving, excellent boating and good fishing. There are various sports and social clubs, a theatre, cinemas and a wide choice of fine dining from the delicious local Bahamian fare to a range of international cuisine and gourmet restaurants.

Grand Bahama is just a short 25 minute flight from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or the Bahamas capital, Nassau, all of which have a range of available and affordable flights from UK.

The Bahamas: Spread over a large expanse of Atlantic Ocean, the 700 islands of The Bahamas bask in breezy semi-tropical sunshine all year. About one hundred of the islands are minimally inhabited, and just a small handful has any kind of sizable population.

Starting just 50 miles from the Florida coast, the archipelago swoops southeast for some 600 miles, almost to Haiti and Cuba. The capital, Nassau, is located on New Providence, while the second city, Freeport, is on Grand Bahama. The other islands, known as the Family Islands, including Andros, The Abacos, Eleuthera, & The Exumas, are very accessible, thanks to the small, but very reliable, local airlines.

The greatest asset of these islands is the incredible sea, which they ornament. Colours range from pale crystal green in the Bahama banks to deep regal blue in Exuma Sound and the awesomely deep Tongue of the Ocean. The water is so clear that you hardly need a snorkel mask to view the amazing array of marine life at the countless coral reef

Dream Vacation

We were so thrilled that the description of the unit was exactly what we got. It is in a great location for walking to the beach, store, and town square. It has a beautiful view and lovely garden landscaping. The unit is bright and cheery. Pat was very accommodating in helping us get settled in for our 2 month stay. I miss waking up to palm trees and my daily walk on the ocean. We look forward to staying again!

Winter 2015

Had a great time and would definitely recommend both the apartment and the block. Great location....easy to get to anything and anywhere, but far enough away from the all inclusive holiday crowd. If we felt there were a couple of downsides, they were that the pool was rarely usable - a little heating would go a long way, and that the fixtures and fittings- the kitchen in particular - could definitely do with updating....but in total it's a good place for a very good price.

Charming place close to everything!

Lovely apartment is just like it is described. The view of the pool and channel is charming. It is located in the quite channel but very close to Lucaya market, restaurants and beach. Supermarket is about 20 minute walk. No car is necessary. If you decide to take a tour of the island, you can rent a scooter or a car for a day-rental place is just around the corner. Scooter is lots of fun. It is only $50 for a whole day (8AM to 5PM) with gas and insurance).

I stayed in this apartment for few days and had everything that I needed. The apartment was simply decorated and quite clean.

Pat and her husband were very hospitable and helpful. They drove me to the supermarket twice and make sure I had everything I needed.

Local people that live in this complex are super friendly. Community is gated and safe. I used the laundromat for $1.50 each (washer and dryer). I had my own detergent, but the apartment also had it.

Pool looked lovely but it was too cold to use it. The patio around the pool looked inviting and clean. It has a big dining table and a bar table for eating outside.

This apartment has everything for some basic cooking and I made few meals. Lucaya’s restaurants are ranging from casual to semi formal. We found them very decent. We liked Greek place and had few lunches there.

The water is safe to drink; however, it does not taste great. I end up going to small convenient stores located in the Lucaya market to purchase water. Market place also had a coffee shop that served Starbucks coffee; however, the apartment had a coffee maker that I used.

Beach is only 5 minutes walk and it is gorgeous. During my stay in February, it was also not crowded. You could find some solitude here.

This is a very basic, “away from it all” but at the same time, “close to all” place. I would definitely stay with Pat again. Thank you for your hospitality!
