So we picked up our info and keys at the designated office. Staff was friendly and thorough. We get to our place and workers were finishing up cleaning the place. I requested and was approved for 12pm check in and got there at 2.
Cons: One of the towels we used had dried blood, smelled of gas (probably from the stove but we survived), no indication of where I can park but since we were the only ones in the 4 complex it didn't really matter, front door was hard to open and close (room 4), all windows (including bathroom) had no privacy so anyone can see our 'business,' there were blinds for all windows BUT the bathroom, dog feces was not well kept, TV WAS HORRIBLE (the sound quality was like listening through a tin can 50 feet away, so I suggest bringing some external speaker system), trash cans at facility are NOT to be used (you have to go to a designated spot to drop it off, so that means we have smelly trash including our dogs "presents" sitting in the car. I think that's enough 'cons.'
As for the pros:
Again, staff was friendly, place was quaint and everything stated in description was expected. I knew coming into the place, it was going to be small so I wasn't disappointed. The HBO was a plus. The convenience to the main street helps get to and from. They gave coupons for the next visit. Bed was clean, comfortable and well made. Bathroom and all the amenities needed even though we brought most of our own. Check out was easy by making a call to an automated system (even though housekeeping came before I checked out, so I had to tell her to come back), our dog seemed to enjoy it...
This cabin was ok for a couple with a dog. Our dog is 75 pounds and it was a little cramped. The "full kitchen" was not a full kitchen. Not if you plan on cooking. I had to buy pans, a can opener and a knife to cut veggies with. There was a fenced in area where we could keep our dog, but it was filled with poop from previous visitors. Good location though. Friendly staff at check in. Not terrible by any means, but basic.
