Have a cuddle, a cup of coffee and then saunter off the the ski lift for a day on the World's best ski mountain (JMO)! You're in the heart of Aspen and footsteps away from world class skiing, shopping, dining and entertainment but you're on the edge of the forest on the side of Aspen Mountain. It's the best of both worlds. This studio is *charming* that's the only word for it- utterly charming with a comfortable overstuffed armchair and ottoman to lounge by the fire or watch the flat screen TV. The Windsor style bed (with temperpedic mattress, fluffy topper, Goose Down comforter with Duvet cover and Egyptian cotton sheets) can be King or converted into two Twins, it's perfect for a late morning snuggle while you gaze out at Aspen Mountain. The folk art mural in the entry lends the whole space a touch of whimsy.
The kitchen is an ''armoire'' kitchen which is small but efficient it includes a drawer dishwasher, a microwave/convection oven and a two burner glass stove top. The Arts and Crafts style pocket doors are ''safety'' doors which turn off the oven and the stove top when closed. The bath has a full size tub and shower, two sinks and a dressing room. The unit comes with a ski locker at ground level and there are bike racks in the parking lot. Other amenities include a guest basket of soap, shampoo, conditioner ++, All Clad and Le Creuset cookware, Wusthof knives, Mamma Ro tableware and cloth napkins. There is also a small library of books all about Aspen.
Half a block away is the St. Regis with a Fitness Center- although you may prefer to take your exercise skiing or hiking right outside your door. You can walk down to Ruby Park and catch the bus to the our other 3 ski mountains, the Music Tent, Maroon Bells or the Glenwood Hot Springs and Spa.
Did I mention value? This is Deluxe Studio with a kitchen, jacuzzi, heated pool and one block away from the lift on Aspen Mountain. Please compare and please don't ask for a discount. This is already 50-75% less than comparable properties. Nope, no last minute deals either- if it's not rented *I'm* going skiing.....
Disclaimers: This is a third floor unit and there is no elevator, it is a no pets non smoking rental, there is no childproofing in this unit, there is a maximum 2 person occupancy.
Welcome to my Aspen Colorado Condo rentals! I'm a 'Scenic Artist' which means I paint backgrounds for film and television. I do most of this work in my studio in Carbondale just down valley from Aspen. I painted the little mural in the studio apartment.
Ziska Childs purchased this condo in 1968
I love Aspen and I always have. My family moved here in 1968. What made Aspen special then is what makes it special now. It's a small town with a Cosmopolitan attitude, the best of both worlds. Come and visit, especially in the off season, and discover what the magic of this little valley is all about.
The condo was fabulous; just what I had hoped for. Turned out to be a perfect retreat for my vaction. Not sure if I will be back to Aspen in the near future, but I'll definitely try to book with you again.
The owner is very pleasant. This is a great location near downtown restaurants etc. Can't beat the price. The building is approx 30 years old, but very clean and well-maintained. The photos are accurate--the owner painted a few rustic murals at the entrance. The rest of the studio has a bit more modern clean feel. I would stay here again.
Aspen is a World famous ski resort located in the North American Rocky Mountain region. We have 4 fabulous ski mountains with everything from beginner to expert terrain. The Rockies are known for 'champagne powder' skiing, bright blue skies, and magnificent scenery. The X-Games and the World Cup ski races are regularly held here. There are numerous winter events including Winterskol, Aspen Fashion Week, the Academy Screenings and Gay Ski Week.
In the summer we host the Aspen Music School, The Aspen Ideas Conference, Hiking, Biking, Kayaking, Rafting, Fly Fishing and the Aspen Food and Wine Classic. The Aspen Shortsfest is one of the top 50 Film Festivals. The last event of the summer is Motherlode Volleyball Classic.
Year round there is World Class shopping including Prada, Ralph Lauren and Dior. Two of our local chef's were just nominated for James Beard Awards. If you get stressed from too much fun you can always go down to Glenwood Springs and relax in the mineral Pools.
Other Activities: shopping, kayaking, boating, parasailing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, wildlife viewing, rock climbing, miniature golf
