House 'Evdokia & Elizabeth' is a traditional house with two independent, cozy & artistic houses. Located over the port of Hydra, in the most privileged spot, as the amazing Hydra sun sets are visible only from that side of the Hydra town!
They may be booked separately (150 euros per night) or as a whole (300euros per night), from 1 up to 9 persons. Bookings for all year long or just for a season are accepted at exceptional rates! Ideal for writers!
The view from all three terraces is breathtaking, as panoramic. The eye stretches coast to coast from Peloponnese to the isle of Dokos, and to the whole port of Hydra. The visitor’s gaze is constantly magnetized. Watching the sun set from the House's verandas is a life time experience!
The House is located at the left hand entering the port of Hydra, right on top of the Navy School, across the Kountouriotis' House. Just 5 min. walk down and 10 min. walk up, where you reach Heaven.
Each House sleeps from 1 to 4/5 persons. They are fully equipped with WI-Fi, air-conditions, kitchen. Both Houses are separated and have an individual entrance.
House 'Evdokia & Elizabeth' is a cozy and artistic house, decorated with hand made antiques. They consist of two double beds, a mezzanine and a two single bed room, a sitting room that may become an extra bedroom for an extra person, 4 w.c, 3 showers, 2 fully equipped open air kitchens and 3 verandas with separate exits. The verandas are ideal for breakfast and dinner, while viewing the port of Hydra unfolding panoramically. The wide upstairs veranda of Evdokia House, offers a breath taking view towards all directions of the Saronic Gulf. Ideal for dinners or even sleeping under the stars! Sunsets from all verandas are simply breathtaking! One can enjoy all meals under a sun umbrella.
House 'Evdokia & Elizabeth' offers two separate entrances. They are located in the port of Hydra, one of the fewest houses on Hydra that are very close to the port and at the same time have a breathtaking view over the port. Across them is located the Museum of Kountouriotis, and the view expands to Dokos island and Peloponnese.
My name is Cleo. I am the mother of two children and I am a well known art photographer in Greece. My artistic taste has played an important role to the decoration of the Houses, as well my love to traditional architecture. Both Houses are spacious and give priority in creating bright Houses were the visitor can feel at Home and spend time feeling free.
This property is located at the most privileged and posh side of Hydra. It is almost the only side on Hydra from where the visitor can see and enjoy sunset and sun rise, a splendid Greek experience one must have while on vacation. At the same time the rates are kept low in honor of any traveler that selects to spend time in our beautiful country. The feeling of spending time at a
house that puts you at ease and feels like home, with excellent and positive energy and with a glass of wine at the verandas, stays always as a happy and relaxed memory. Ideal for writers!!
Best side of Hydra! Spectacular sun sets, right in front of the verandas. Very close to the main str of Hydra, located in the harbor however high enough to offer spectacular and panoramic view, in a close distance. Very economical rates for an excellent taste in Architecture and interior design. One can spend hours in the house and at the terraces, while feeling cozy at home and with a 'theatrical' event taking place outdoors, while watching the boats come and go, the yachts and the sea. Ideal place for writers.

Five stars! Just as advertised. Had such a wonderful time here and will definitely return. Can't imagine staying anywhere else on the island. Simple chic style Elizabeth house has "good bones" and sits in a quiet neighborhood with unsurpassed sea and harbor views from every window and magnificent sunsets from the terrace, accessible through two sets of French doors. There is an incredible feeling of privacy on an island teeming with tourist flux. Decorated in good taste with simple furnishings and all the basics, including thoughtful touches like books, playing cards, fins and a snorkel to take down to the sea. Private platform to the east for morning yoga, sunbathing and drying wet clothes. The listing doesn't fully describe the three small bathrooms. You can shower in each using hand-held shower heads. It's a bit like taking Navy showers. Overall, you get excellent value from this rental and attentive service from the thoughtful owner. On the hottest days, the air conditioning is such a bonus, but it does struggle a bit to keep up in the master bedroom, cooled instead by a high powered fan. Drawbacks? Expect to entertain simply; not quite a cook's kitchen. Bottom line: Elizabeth house really does feel like home away from home.
We had a beautiful week in Hydra. The house is perfectly located, the view is more than somebody could expect. Furnishing and facilities are simple and basic- but so is the rent. We will definitely come back soon.
We arrived in this most picturesque and charming island and were graciously greeted by a Greek gentleman who assisted us up the mountain by donkey to the Elizabeth House. This vacation house is charming and artistically decorated, with a spectacular view of the bay. The sunsets are a photographers dream come true. There was everything available that we could possibly want and more! Although during our stay there was a brief period where water was not available, this was due to a problem that was occurring throughout Hydra. This was quickly resolved and we continued to have a beautiful Mediterranean holiday.
The Meyer-Gross Family USA
We went as a group of 4 and found it to be the perfect base from which to explore lovely Hydra. The home was comfortable and pleasant, and the verandah is a perfect place to eat breakfast, or sip wine and watch the sun set before your eyes into the sea in the evening. A swimming cove is right next door for lazy afternoon dips. So perfect. Can't wait to return!
Hydra is an island of exclusive beauty and Architecture. It is very close to Athens and there are plenty of daily and frequent ferries. No cars are allowed on the island and every street is hand made! The mansions and manors of Hydra have a unique history and their architecture is one of a kind in Europe. Donkeys and horses will welcome you to take you for a ride!
Hydra’s status as a national historic landmark is of great importance to Greece. Rough nature and high quality architecture mix and create pure beauty. Plenty of small festivals take place in Hydra during summer while the highlight of the island is the celebration of Miaoulia during the last weekend of June, with phantasmagoric fireworks. A traveler may easily choose between peace and quite or cosmopolite life, with plenty of famous people and artists, under tones of stars in the wide open horizon. All beaches of Hydra offer clear blue water. Boats take the visitor to various beautifully organized beaches but you will be able to find a private beach as well!
