We are less than 2 miles from the State Capital and Downtown. Slightly over 4 miles to Zilker Park where Barton Springs and all of the major festivals occur. Other features include original hardwood floors, free wireless access, TV/DVD, full kitchen and bath.

The property owner has lived all over the world. He enjoys people of every color and ethnicity. He settled in Austin 18 years ago and knows the city very well. He has been known to have a glass of wine and share his local knowledge on occasion.

This property is in Aldridge Place between the University of Texas and Hyde Park. It was Austin's first planned development with many of the homes designated as historic. One of the most notable features is Adams / Hemphill Park that runs through it's center. The history of Adams-Hemphill Park dates to 1912, when Lewis Hancock (1856-1920) donated more than two acres along Hemphill Creek for use as a park. Hancock, who served as mayor of Austin from 1895-1897, was an influential figure at the turn of the twentieth century. Hancock donated the land for Hemphill Park when he began selling tracts of land in the Aldridge Place neighborhood in 1912.
This apartment is not only perfect for travelers looking to stay in a unique area of central Austin, but can also accommodate visiting academics or those that are temporarily working in Austin and need a large work area. It has been completely updated and has the original hardwood floors. The apartment has central A/C & Heat.
This neighborhood enclave is unique in Austin and a pleasure to explore while strolling the park and shaded streets. Restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and bus stop are just steps away... while being not too close at the same time. We are located 5 houses from Guadalupe Street.
Charming rental, conveniently located to all of Austins great attractions. Marc was great, always respecting our privacy, but available for great suggestions for things todo in Austin. The place was very clean, and very well kept. This was a much better stay then any cookie cutter hotel. It's was a true pleasure, and we hope to come back soon.
We enjoyed our weekend at this spotless apartment. It is conveniently located to West Campus and to shops and restaurants along Guadalupe. Parking is adequate and there is a nice patio. The TVs and internet connection are good. The furnishings are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. Mark was in touch before our arrival and everything we needed was provided. We would certainly stay here again. .
Walk to restaurants, Amy's ice cream shop, the coffee shop, Wheatsville Co-op. There is a park 1.5 blocks away...wonderful for those traveling with a dog. Soft bedding and comfy bed. Speedy internet. Cold A/C. Everything you need for a great stay.
Wonderful stay with my boyfriend in Austin!! This adorable apartment in located in an amazing part of the city. You are super close (5-10 minutes) from downtown and 10 minutes from all of Austins beautiful parks. We didn't meet Mark but he was very easy to get in touch with. The apartment has clearly laid out instructions for all of your potential questions. We had everything we needed. Towels, wash cloths, AC, coffee pot etc. We will definitely be coming back to Austin and staying in this apartment again!
We stayed here for our anniversary trip back in May. We couldn't have picked a better spot! The apartment was clean and spacious, as well as a quick drive to lots of fun places downtown. This spot is also dog-friendly; our six-year old pup loved laying on the hardwood floors in the sun! Mark was extremely responsive to messages and made us feel right at home. A great place to stay for your time in Austin!
This was our second stay at this property although last time we stayed in the upstairs apartment. Both times It was perfect for our needs since it is in a lovely neighborhood, minutes from our son's home. It's a sweet apartment with great space and an amazingly comfortable bed, a nice kitchen, and spacious living room. The heat and humidity of Austin was ramping up while we were there so we only regret we didn't discover the dehumidifier until the last days of our stay, but the air conditioning still kept us cool. Mark, the owner is a great guy and made himself always available in the event we needed anything, which we didn't because the place is well outfitted. Our boy is moving, but if we ever make it back to this fantastic city, we'd definitely stay here again.

1. Smoking is NOT allowed OR Smoking is allowed outside only.
2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest and additional fees might apply.
3. The owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order
5. Only use appliances for their intended uses
6. PETS are permitted only with prior approval.
7. PARKING – Vehicles are to be parked on the other side of the street from the property since the city only allows parking on one side of the street. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
8. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping/maid service. If needed, housekeeping/maid service can be arranged for an additional fee. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, we do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the apartment. Beach towels may be available upon request.
