Very quaint and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Stayed from Jan 8 to 15th.. Shirley was very accommodating as our flight was delayed a day as we were suppose to check in front the 7-14.. first impressions were of pleasant surprise.. everything u need is available or a phone call away.. stayed with my mom in a unit suited to her needs as she has had 2 knee replacements.. I used the sofa bed which was surprisingly quite comfortable.. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place.. location was very central.. easy access to all sightseeing.. everything u need is nearby and felt safe with the locking courtyard.. only complaint is the parking.. it can get very tight in there if u are driving a mid sized vehicle and units are full

Cozy and charming

  • 4 of 5

A nice clean place in midtown Memphis about a 10-15 minute drive from Beale Street. If you stay in a lower unit it can be noisy with renters above since the units are wood floors. Fantastic hot shower.

Cozy Place in Midtown Memphis

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed our 9th anniversary in Memphis this past weekend. We enjoyed the suite #12 with balcony, it was peaceful and relatively quite almost every night (nothing the owner can do about unruly people in restaurant parking lot at 2 in the morning). The unit was clean and smelled fresh every time we walked in. The weekend of our stay it appeared that maintenance was just finishing up installing a nice brick patio and grill area, assuming for future use for guests. The owner was very accommodating the first night of our stay when I couldn't find the TV remote; she actually sent the maintenance people over with a new remote and then it was discovered I failed to open a drawer completely to find the remote; in my defense who puts a TV remote in a drawer in a different room anyway. Overall our experience was great and if we ever get to Memphis again; we'll probably stay here.

Only issue we had was with parking, the lot was very small and tight. Without properly painted and indicated parking spots, some guests were parking like dips by taking up what could have been enough room for 2 vehicles or parking so close that we actually had to climb over the center console to get in. On our last night we went back early to relax before dinner and decided not to leave again so we didn't lose the spot in the lot, instead we walked to the corner bar for dinner instead of heading to a local restaurant.

Beautiful inside, but noisy outside

  • 3 of 5

Let me start by saying the inside of our suite was beautiful and extremely clean. It very much exceeded my expectations and looked so much better than the pictures, which is always a pleasant surprise. Every time we walked into the property we were surprised by how it stayed smelling so clean. So the property itself and inside is super A+.

There was even a little patch of grass at the back of the property for one to walk ones' dog, and the fact that this property was dog friendly was a big plus.

The one thing I would like to point out however, is that the unit we were in was at the back of the property (so maybe this isn't a problem with other units) -the back units not street side - are right behind a busy street, which isn't a problem, however, right on the other side of the property there's a patio/parking lot of a restaurant. It was so loud. Constant noise from 6pm to well after midnight. It was so bad that we ended up leaving a day early because we just didn't get any sleep and would rather have driven the 9+ hours home than be kept up by the noise, and really? What is one to do? Call the cops on an entire restaurant? lol. It was unfortunate. Again, this may not be a problem in any of the inner units, but the one we were in (12) this was a very big issue. I feel really bad leaving a review like this, but I really wished I would have known.

Owner's Response: This apartment is one of my most requested as the guests usually like to sit out and enjoy the view and the activity at the restaurant. This was Labor day weekend and a lot was going on. If I had known they were early to bed I would have advised them on a different unit. Most of them are all very quiet. This is why I prefer talking to my guests so I can place them in units according to their needs.

Convenient location

  • 2 of 5

The location was good! If you have kids stay somewhere else. We were put on the 2nd floor and the balcony was very narrow (more like a walk space) so we couldn't use it and no elevators. My one year old has a heavy step and the tenants below kept banging on their ceiling NON STOP mid morning (from 9a-noon). It's hard to tell a a one year old to sit down and be still, So, like I said, it's not kid friendly. The floors were very dirty when we arrived, our feet were black, otherwise it was clean and the sheets smelled good like bleach. It's a very old apartment which had its ups and downs. Kitchen equipped with all needed necessities. Toilet seat was broken when we arrived but they fixed it the next day.

Clean, great neighborhood, nice stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a terrific stay here last week. The condo was very clean and everything was in working order. No problem finding a parking space in the lots as well. The condo is located in a nice neighborhood and is very central to all the must-sees in Memphis. There are several nearby restaurants within walking distance as well. I'd highly recommend this property.
