Come enjoy our home away from home, create wonderful memories and see why we fell in love with peaceful Belleau Lake.
John and I grew up in Massachusetts and have been enjoying the lakes regions of Maine and New Hampshire for many years now. Our home on Belleau Lake is our 'home away from home'. A place we come to get away from it all and relax!
Lisa and John Lyons purchased this house in 2012
John and I have been renting a home on Belleau Lake for the past 8 years or so. Our children grew up coming here.. We have friends who own here and when this house came up for sale, we decided we wanted to make this a permanent part of our lives. We know you will love it too!
When John and I saw this house, we fell in love with the openness of the rooms, along with the cathedral ceilings and wonderful screened porch overlooking the lake... The sun sets across the lake making for some stunning views. It's just so peaceful and serene.
We had a wonderful time at your lovely vacation home. The kids loved the kayaks and the paddle board. Learning to play pool was so much fun. Your cottage is very well equipped with linens, towels and kitchen tools. We had a campfire with s'mores of course. We fished every single day and caught tons of bluegills. The 3 big bass that hang out under the dock eluded us :( The convenience of nearby shopping was wonderful. Thank you for renting to us. We'll miss your cottage and lovely Belleau Lake.

The house is perfect for a party of 10. The upstairs is really nice with a large kitchen and family room. A great cable package and plenty of places to sit for a meal. The downstairs is great if you have kids or just have a group that likes games. You have a pool table, Foosball table, and a dart board. We were there in November so it was a bit to cold to go in the lake, but it's an amazing view and there is some great outdoor space right on the lake. There's a great pizza place only a few minutes away. Very secluded spot.
This is a beautiful property. Comfortable sleeping arrangements for many guests. Great views of the lake and easy access to fishing and swimming. The house came with everything we needed and more. Shopping center was 7 miles away which was a nice scenic drive. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and quiet vacation.
We had a wonderful week at Belleau Lake. The house is clean and well supplied. Our teenagers appreciated having the downstairs to themselves. The lake itself is beautiful and there were many days we had it almost to ourselves. Loved having use of the kayaks and paddle board. The house and its hosts are definitely 5 stars. The only drawback for us was that East Wakefield is not near many attractions. When the sun was out, we were in paradise. On our one rainy day, we had to be creative to find something to do, but I would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing, family-oriented time.
My family & I couldn't have asked for a better vacation! Lisa & John provided us with everything that you could possibly need. It was a perfect location. So relaxing & peaceful! We wish we could've stayed longer! Lisa was so responsive to all my emails & questions. She was just so great to work with. Thank you Lisa & John for such a memorable vacation! We will be back!
The kitchen , dining ,living room areas were great..we enjoed the decks, the grill , and the kayaks,
I recommend this property for two adult couples with children who don't mind sleeping in cellar or on pullouts .
Myself and some longtime friends get together once a year. This year we had 12 adults rent Lisa and Johns place for a long weekend. The place was perfect for us! It was amazingly clean and spacious. The kitchen had everythig we needed to feed 12 hungry adults and at night everyone found a comfy place to sleep. We love being outdoors and by the water so the location was awesome! There are stores for anything from a pizza run,to milk n bread ,(even beer n ice) only five minutes down the road.Friday we went to the Province golf course only ten minutes down the road and played 9 holes. That night we caught some good size large -mouth bass right off the dock.We made good use of the fire pit down by the water every night telling war stories of years past. The way they have it set up is very private and that is not easy to come by when your trying to rent a place on the water!A little rain came in Saturday evening so the screened-in porch became the perfect hangout until it stopped. We didn't use the big screen TV or the game room much, but it is a great addition to the place. The only problem we had was our fault with a couple of cars parked where they weren't supposed be. John called us and it was all taken care of. Lisa and John were nothing but professional through the whole rental process. I highly recommend Lisa and Johns place to everybody! The pictures say it all!! Thank You very much for letting us rent your place! Your place is awesome and we all had a blast, some are already talking about next year. Thanks again William

Fall foliage can be seen for miles. There is something to do all year long. Also, the quaint town of Wolfeboro, located on Lake Winnipesaukee, is 30 minutes away. There you can shop its many local shops and dine at many restaurants right on the lake. If its golf you enjoy, Province Lake Golf Course is just a 10 minute scenic drive away. And if you have your snowmobile, we are located on Corridor 19 and Belleau Lake is part of the 7 Lakes Snowmobile Club. Corridor 19 links you with trails throughout New Hampshire, Maine and Canada.
