About Connie Medina

Never thought of myself as a "rural" or "country" girl, nor an "outdoors" person, until our father passed away, and I spent more time on this land. Over time, I realized the importance of connecting to Nature, paying attention to the messages Mother Earth provides us every day, if we just listen, open our eyes and ears, and hearts.

Connie Medina purchased this cabin in 1957

Why Connie Medina chose Trails End At Lake Travis

Our father loved this land so much. He worked so diligently to clear, clean up and prepare the land. He was not an aquatic type boat dock nor boat slip, no water skiing. He did have a plan in his head and in his heart...he prepared this land for his family. After spending time out here, I felt moved that I was the "Keeper of the Land", and all that entails--the importance of paying attention to our surroundings.

What makes this cabin unique

A serene place to just get away from the everyday hustle and bustle. An "unplugged" environment. The back porch...

Charming cabin, great atmosphere

  • 5 of 5

This old cabin on the lake has tons of charm, sits of the lake with a beautiful deck and views. Quiet atmosphere, large wood burning fireplace. Connie was so gracious and wonderful. You won't be disappointed.

Peaceful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I loved this 100 yr old cabin . . . it's quiet & peaceful, it's very clean and well appointed thanks to Connie Medina, the owner. She was such a pleasure to meet and when she took us through the cabin (to explain where everything is), she was very thorough and explained the history about her father owning it, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while visiting family. Highly recommend for couples that want peace, quiet, serenity, and romance. It's on Lake Travis but we were so relaxed, we never walked down to the lake - we didn't want to leave the covered back porch! Coffee in the morning . . . .wine in the evening . . . . what could be better! We will be back :) Kenneth & Joy Drake / Willis, TX

Such a relaxing little cabin. The view is great and the hike down to the water is not a problem at all. Would most definitely come back.

Very beautiful cabin with rich history. Peace and quiet. Enjoyed nature.

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was very beautiful and taken good care of. It had a rich history to it. It was peaceful and very relaxing. The best part was that there was no tv and internet. The family had such a great time playing games, singing and just being silly.

Charming Cozy and Tranquil

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the white owl cabin. It was such a charming cabin, I can’t believe how old it is. We had everything we needed and it was the quiet escape from the city we were looking for with our small son. We loved our nature walks down to the lake and it rained while we were there, and sitting on the patio while listening to the rain during my sons nap time was so peaceful and relaxing. Connie was just wonderful and so accommodating, I couldn’t speak more highly of her. We would definitely recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a more private escape. Thanks Connie for opening white owl to my family!
