About Lisa Ann Fragale

We are the proud new owners of Loon Lodge! We have made many improvements in the past year to make your stay a very relaxing and comforting one, including a new roof, siding, heating, and an electrical upgrade. Phase 2 of our renovations are in the future and they include "cosmetic renovations" to the older part of the cabin as the necessary/most important renovations are complete.

Lisa Ann Fragale purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Lisa Ann Fragale chose Northeast Kingdom

We rented this cabin for 3 winters and when the opportunity came to purchase it, we did not hesitate! We also rented it for 1 week every summer and could not wait to get back to paradise. This is truly a rustic/not so rustic 'off the grid' experience. There is limited cell phone service, but only a 10-15 minute drive to town! Truly a peaceful experience!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Beautiful views from the deck and the large picture window in the living area. We really enjoyed grilling on the deck while overlooking this crystal clear pond. We will definitely bring our kayaks next time and paddle around Loon island for peeks of the loons and hopefully their babies! We also loved the Lyndonville Diner in town, the food was delicious and the atmosphere relaxed. People are so nice and accommodating. A+

Great week at a great place - loved Loon Lodge

  • 5 of 5

There is a little piece of Heaven in Vermont at Loon Lodge on Newark Pond. The cottage was nice and comfortable and had WIFI to access the outside world. We will hopefully go again next year. The water was clean and watching the loons, eagle and hummingbirds. Couldn't have asked for a better week!!! Thanks for making our vacation great and a de-stresser

From canoeing, mountain biking, hiking and swimming.. we kept busy and came back to camp fires and canoe trips with beautiful sunsets each evening. The loons made the lake magical each morning watching them make their rounds and listening to their beautiful songs/calls. Thanks for sharing your amazing piece of heaven in the North East Kingdom... we loved every minute!

The Loon Lodge was amazing. I felt like I was part of the wilderness so serene and beautiful. The pond at times is so still that you can see the loons bobbing in and out of the water from all distances. The cabin was clean from top to bottom and all instructions on how to do anything and everything were well documented. The use of the canoe out side was a great plus considering I had mountain bikes on top of the car so we don't travel with our own canoe. I hope to be staying here again!

A Perfect Fall Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My best friend and I rented this cabin for a beautiful fall getaway and had a great stay. The cabin was in great condition and the location could not be more idyllic. We took some amazing sunset shots over the pond and some of the mist rising off the lake on a chilly morning. It feels cozy, quiet, and peaceful. We really enjoyed drinking a hot cup of tea while looking out over the pond. Plus, the fall foliage was spectacular.

The cabin itself is fully stocked with pots and pans, basic kitchen spices, blankets, towels, and they have a fun DVD collection. The wifi was helpful, if a little spotty when we tried to stream anything like youtube. We ended up doing some great hiking at Victory State Forest (even if we got a little lost getting there) and Willoughby Lake. We would 100% recommend the very short drive to the lake and it only takes a couple hours to hike Mount Pisgah which has some amazing views. We would unequivocally recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a classic, peaceful, New England vacation. I'd love to visit again when it was warmer to take even better advantage of the pond!

Thank you Lisa for the use of your wonderful cabin!

Located about 15 minutes from Burke Mountain, enjoy biking and hiking on the multitude of trails. In addition, Jay Peak is under an hour away and offers an indoor Water Park. Also, Island Pond and Lake Willoughby are only miles away for your enjoyment as well. Stay 'home' and swim/kayak/canoe/fish in the crystal clear waters directly from your private dock. Enjoy the Loons as they pass by with their young! Bask in the peaceful and quiet 'off the grid' sereneness. Relax in the many splendors of rural Vermont! Please note that cell phone service is limited around the cabin and may require a short walk around the pond. We do offer a landline phone for local calls only and suggest that guests bring a calling card for long distance calls. WIFI is available.
