Built in the late 1870's, this grand antebellum home is one of New Orleans finest in architectural design. Imagine yourself in the late 1800's living in a southern antebellum mansion that boasted the finest in European chandeliers, iron work and stained glass windows.

This home has the finest of furnishings in close proximity to the St. Charles streetcar line that can take you from the Central Business District, French Quarter or to the the Uptown are that includes Audoban Park and Tulane and Loyola Universities. Come enjoy one of the greatest American cities that welcome tourist's as if it were your home 'somewhere in time'.

Given the architectural beauty of this home, the bedrooms are expansive with large doors and windows and tall ceilings. The king-size bedroom is adjoined with a large bathroom that boasts decorative ceramic tiles from the 1870's.

Further Details: The queen bedroom that hosts an old brick fireplace and shutters is adjoined by a beautiful, large modern bathroom with a whirlpool tub, and an open, walk-in shower. Ceramic tiles adorn the floor and walls. The third bedroom is large enough to accommodate two full-size beds, and an armoire with plenty of room to spare. This bedroom in the 1870s was used as a sleeping quarter to catch the cross breezes in the summer time using nine, large windows.

We love to preserve these beautiful and historical homes we see as gems.

Perfect home in a perfect location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Napoleon house, everything was perfect. The home is absolutely beautiful and the location cannot be beat. The gated parking behind the home was excellent and not the norm for New Orleans. The location is surrounded by great restaurants and steps away from the trolley. Liz and Mary Jean were the best hosts and made us feel at home away from home. Thanks for everything.

Fantastic location, beautiful house!

I rented the Napoleon house for 7 ladies to experience Mardi Gras from an uptown location. The house exceeded expectations! Mary Jean and Liz were wonderful, accomodating hosts! When I asked about a crockpot, Mary Jean put hers in the kitchen! We bought groceries before arrival which worked out very well, since we never had to use the cars. Parking behind the protective gate greatly eased my mind. Four members of our party had never been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. This was such a perfect way to introduce them to it. Several are already talking about future trips!

The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the bathrooms had great hot water in the showers, and the washer/dryer even came in handy! The construction on Napoleon Ave. was not an issue. We were all able to watch the parades from across the street with many of our host's family and friends! Memorable moments that forever will make me smile!

I highly recommend this property and the property owners! Thank you!

Fantastic stay in antebellum New Orleans home!

We of course had seen the Home Away add, but were not expecting the experience that we had at Napoleon House. The spacious accommodations, period decoration, modern kitchen, A/C, Wi Fi and all the furnishings were very comfortable. Working with the owners was very easy as they were responsive to all our questions and needs. It would be great if all our vacations had accommodations that were as convenient and comfortable.

The Napoleon House is AWESOME!!!

My family of 20 stayed for my brother’s 30 birthday in September. We rented both the upstairs and downstairs units of The Napoleon House. The house is beautiful and very spacious for 20 people to stay. Every couple basically had their own room and the rooms were very spacious. Check-in and check-out was very easy. My family also loved that the owners gave a little background story of the house too!! Perfect house for a large group to stay together!! We LOVED it!!

Location is perfect!! Just a two minute walk to the Streetcar which makes getting to the Quarter very easy. Definitely would stay here again!!

Fantastic place to stay in New Orleans

Nine of us were visiting New Orleans for four nights and had problems finding a place that would accommodate everyone comfortably. This house was everything we needed and more! Lots of space, two large bathrooms, washer/dryer, big kitchen and dining area, etc. It is within walking distance of some great places to eat. A large grocery store is somewhat close by. Only a couple blocks from the streetcar line which runs down to the Bourbon St. area. We had no problems getting around with cabs and Uber. Quick responses from the owners about any questions and concerns. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful New Orleans retreat

This house is awesome.We had 6 guys with high standards and they were met. We felt like we were part of the neighbor and loved the area. Bars and restaurants are all within walking distance and getting to the quarter is easy. The house has 15 foot ceilings, awesome hardwood floors and huge bathrooms. 6 guys were not cramped and everyone had their own bed. We will be back. Great place! Liz and Mary are wonderful hosts. Til next time, "The fly fishing Guys"
