Private Waterfront Retreat on Gulf Water Bayou- KAYAKER & NATURE LOVERS PARADISE

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,950 sq ft
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Located at the top of the beach park road, this home is surrounded on two sides by private waterfront. Overlooking mangrove islands, watch as egrets and herons soar gracefully in to fish for their supper, see the fish jump as dolphins come through, observe rays swimming by, or drop a line to try and hook a redfish or snook.

Head out in one of our double kayaks or canoe to view nature up close. Hang out on our new dock and watch gorgeous sunsets over the water; that's what you came to Florida to enjoy!

This is our personal getaway retreat, completely updated and decorated in a 'Tommy Bahama' island style. Our home sleeps 6 privately and comfortably, and is fully furnished and equipped to meet all your needs for fishing, kayaking, biking, enjoying the beach at the end of our road, and relaxing at home with games, video library, books, toys and games for the kids.

Just down the road is the historic New Port Richey river district with beautiful parks, an open ampitheater that features live music, and brand new water play park and covered playground. Lots of great dining options, cafes, theatre, cigar bar and waterfront dining are right downtown. Movies, bowling, laser tag and family game center are all within a 10 minute drive.

The New Port Richey Community Center is just 5 minutes from our house and offers 3 pools, a water slide complex, tennis and basketball courts, indoor gym and basketball center, fitness classes and more. Sun Cruises is just around the corner and the sport fishing and gambling cruise boats.

A short drive south is historical Tarpon Springs - a Greek fishing and sponge diving village; Tampa, Clearwater, Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. A short drive north brings you to Homassassa Springs (amazing canoeing, kayaking and nature walk), Weeki-Wachee, and Silver Springs.

For those who need a Disney or Universal fix, it's about an 80 minute drive across I-4 to all the wonders of Orlando, then you can come back to the peace and quiet of home to relax.

About Brenda Alber

I live in SE Florida with my husband and 3 sons. Born in Scotland, I grew up outside of Chicago and am happy to reside in the sunshine state!! :)

Brenda Alber purchased this house in 2008

Why Brenda Alber chose Peninsular Paradise

We rented in this area 10 years ago and absolutely loved it. It truly is an area of natural beauty and we had a realtor watch for a home for us. Two years later, this property came available and we fell in love with the privacy of the location and the outlook - you truly feel that you are away from it all. The house itself is open and inviting, and after a flood last year, we have completely redone the entire interior, so it is brand new house now. We love it.

A great place for family bonding

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the house on Heavens Way! The pool table provided hours of fun for my husband and teenage boys, and we took the kayaks out almost every day. We saw so many different kinds of birds, and several sting ray. One Blue Heron came to the backyard to visit us every day! The dock provided a peaceful place for morning meditations with a beautiful view, and the backyard was a perfect setting for grilling out on the charcoal grill. Thank you!

Great time!

  • 4 of 5

We got to see numerous water birds, enjoy early mornings and evening sunsets! We were happy with the house and would rent it again if circumstances permit. The owner was very nice to work with and responded quickly to emails and texts.

Quiet paradise

  • 5 of 5

The house wand area were amazing! The house from the outside looked a little rough, but once entering it was gorgeous. It had everything we expected and more. The owners (Brenda) was fantastic to work with and would answer when called if we had any problems, we didn't, but it was still nice to have that option. The area was quiet and being able to sit and fish right off your own backyard was great for our little ones. The last night we were there, we had 3 dolphins swim up to the dock. The kids had a great time catching crabs from the dock as well. We will definitely make arrangements to return to this area and stay in this house. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Thank you Brenda!!

So much beautiful nature and wildlife!

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived the cleaning person was just leaving and was so friendly and welcoming. We went into a beautiful clean home that had plenty of space for my whole family ( 7 of us), not just to sleep but to hang out as well. We loved the dock and went out back to watch the birds each AM and PM, my kids loved tracking them. We saw so much wildlife, it was so nice to be staying right in their midst. We enjoyed using the kayaks and the bicycles as well. The owners were friendly and really helped us out. I would recommend this home for your holiday!

Peaceful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay at Heaven's Way! The neighborhood was peaceful. Our kids enjoyed the pool table and the many visiting birds. This was a terrific base for our spring break. We enjoyed Honeymoon Beach and Indian Rocks Beach, the Florida Aquarium, the Manatee Viewing Center. The house is obviously well cared for, and spacious. Much nicer than paying the same price for a hotel room!

You can fish and crab on site or go out to the gulf for shark fishing. We have stayed at many homes in this area but this was a totally unique experience because of the rustic feel of the natural waterway and not another man made canal that is common to this area. I rented a pontoon boat and kept it at the homes dock during our stay ( shallow water creek restricts access to gulf 2 hrs before and after low tide mark ). This is a very quiet area with woods all around and only 1 neighbor. A blue heron will stop by everyday to see if you caught any fish for him. House was very clean and nicely decorated. There were kayaks, bicycles, games and fishing stuff available for your use provided by the owners, who were wonderful to deal with and very accommodating. I hope to stay at their wonderful home again.
