We enjoyed our stay at this property over New Year's. The home was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of toiletries in the bathrooms and we really appreciated the extra toothbrushes. The view is amazing! The house has lots of room inside and the bedrooms/bathrooms were plentiful and private. The manger was great to communicate with and very friendly. Our only complaints were that we could hear some road noise when we were outside on the deck and the driveway is very steep. There is parking at the top of the driveway, which is nice, but I would advise to not park in the driveway itself if it is icy. We would rent this place again.
Wow this place is great, and the hosts are above and beyond. We booked this spot for 4days of hiking, crabbing, and general relaxation over the thanksgiving holiday. We had no problems at all accept one when on Thursday (thanksgiving) morning we turned on the TV and it would not work, I emailed the host and they replied right away, and about an hour later the delivered a new TV! Just in time for the second half. We seen otters, bald eagles, seals and orcas! Yeah orcas from the deck. Couldn't have hoped for a better spot to spend time with my friends and family.
Northeast edge of the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, right on the water, 3 full bedrooms, 3 baths, lovely, spacious, and full of windows. Just impossible to beat if you want to stay in comfort while enjoying one of the most beautiful locations (including nearby Olympic National Park) in the country. Our only complaint was having to go home. We will go back.
This was the perfect place for our family! The kitchen is huge! The living space has vaulted ceilings and a very open feel. It is remodeled & has nice furniture, not to mention single size soaps, shampoos, etc. There is access to the shore via stairs. Our kids loved the walk-in closets as their "secret" hideaway. The location was perfect as it is a short walk to the Worldmark Time Share Townhomes at Discovery Bay where other family members were staying. Also, there is a charming diner a few minutes by car called "Fat Smitty's" that is a must-see. This place is absolutely beautiful! Ava was very accommodating with arrival time. :-)
This home has been modified for disabled people, with shower benches, ramps, and wide doorways. There is also no carpeting or even area rugs anywhere in the house. I'm glad there are VRBO offerings for these customers, but these modifications were not necessary for us and made the home feel sterile and a little institutional. This was not described in the VRBO listing.
There is very little furniture in the home, and what is there is old and sort of strange. The decor is also odd. It all feels like it was furnished with a couple of runs to local garage sales. The upper deck had two cheap plastic chairs. No furniture at all on the lower deck. Dinner or drinks on the deck is not really inviting or possible. The house feels empty.
The kitchen is very sparsely supplied. There was no soap in the bathrooms and no extra blankets or pillows in the house. Finally, while we were there, there was no working internet.
On the positive side, the home is very clean and the view is beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. It is in a really nice location. We spent time in Port Townsend and then in Sequim in the opposite direction.
This house was perfect for my extended family who also rented the house next door (owned by same person). Each bedroom had it's own full bathroom which is very hard to find. The house has beautiful hard wood floors and is light and airy with big windows and great views of Discovery Bay. Although it's not in Port Townsend proper, the location was perfect and we never felt like we missed out on staying in town. Thanks to Ava who is very responsive. I would stay here again in a second!
