For secluded beaches, beautiful sunsets, playing in the surf, snorkeling, worldclass surfing and fishing, Rincon Escape is the perfect escape for you.
Our home is wonderfully large with an old world feeling - high ceilings and generous spaces to relax in. It has a secluded patio and its own private pool.
Rincon Escape is located on a quiet cul de sac that leads to the beautiful, sandy Corcega beach - one minute walk (3 houses) from the villa. Situated on the Carribbean Sea, it is Rincón's most beautiful, gentle beach.
The house has 2 master suites with bathrooms, fully airconditioned and ceiling fans. Both open to a large covered balcony overlooking pool. One suite has a queen size bed, the other two double beds.
There are two additional large bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, and the other with twin beds. Both are airconditioned and have ceiling fans. There are two additional full baths in the house. Plus there is an outdoor shower for your return from the beach.
For dining, you can pull a stool up to the granite counter in the large, gourmet kitchen, or enjoy the round table in the dining room, looking onto the patio – or even better have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the patio to the sounds of tropical birds and coquis (tree frogs).
There are ceiling fans in every room, including bathrooms and the patio.
We have many guests returning to Rincon Escape, enjoying the nearby ocean -- but even more they especially love the pool. Grandparents love to watch their grandkids play, and others go from patio to pool and back again with a freshened drink in hand. The abundant greenery and palm trees surround you - it is paradise.
Wedding guests/families especially love to stay at Rincon Escape because it is a beautiful home - very appealing for elegant weddings. The interior staircase is perfect for photos.
The house is designed for entertaining, with plenty of room in the kitchen for many friends to be cooking at once. It has granite counters, microwave, large oven, dishwasher. It is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware.
If you would prefer to eat out, Rincon has several wonderful restaurants offering everything from Tapas to Puerto Rican cuisine and even sushi.

We are two hardworking professional folk in our 60s, waiting for grandchildren to come along. We love to garden, to cook, and love the water. And we have both in abundance at our home in Rincon.
Kenneth Sale purchased this villa in 2005
We bought in Rincon on a lark. While vacationing in Puerto Rico, we visited the out of the way town of Rincon and fell in love. We asked ourselves, “how could this quiet little town from the 1950's with wonderful beaches and great surfing be kept so hidden from big tourist operations?' We have since discovered that Rincon is the jewel of Puerto Rico's west coast, an out of the way and unspoiled paradise.
The best part of Rincon Escape is going to the beach and submerging myself in the warm ocean water. And just paddling about. Then a walk on the beach, and back in the water. Going home to shower and then off to a local bakery or store for good Puerto Rican food. Back home to sunbathe by the pool, and then back to the beach with drink in hand watching the sunset. Incredible snorkeling is only a 5 minute drive away and the local sufing beaches are some of the best in the Carribbean.
We stayed Feb. 3-10, 2016, and we loved everyday. The house was everything we expected and more. Rincon is a great laid back town. I highly recommend staying here at Rincon Escape. We booked two excursions which I recommend, one being the bioluminescent bay and the Katarina Sailing charter.
Robert the property manager was Johnny on the spot, he even went to the wharf and got us fresh Mahi Mahi. Thank you Robert for taking great care of us.
This house was comfortable, spacious and beautiful. We have always had a good experience with VRBO homes, but this was one of the best. The pictures are completely accurate and the house is all that and more. We loved that the house was so close to the beautiful beach for relaxing and snorkeling (pelican's dive bombing all over!) and that it had a pool. It was tough trying to decide where you wanted to read and relax first! The choices were plentiful...the 2nd floor deck (with lots of comfy chairs and benches), the main covered deck, the pool, the living room(s)! We loved the outdoor shower (so refreshing)! The kitchen was beautiful and functional and we prepared many a meal together and ate on the covered porch.
We want to tip our hat to Robert, the Property Manager, who gave us our first tour of the house and suggested plenty of of restaurants and places to go. We knew if we needed him, he would be there in 5 minutes to help. He even helped us find a local place to paddle board at the Black Eagle Marina in Rincon.
We stopped by Crash Boat Beach and wish we had more time to spend there as it was the most beautiful water and scenic spot.
There are a lot of nice local beaches especially right in town. Steps Steps was fun, but get there early....otherwise there is no where to park. We booked a snorkel trip with Taino Divers (also at the Black Eagle Marina in Rincon (look for the Taino Divers sign by road) to Desecheo Island, which was great....they take you to two snorkel spots around the island. We also drove an hour and a half south to the light house and then ate dinner at Puerto Parguera (definitely recommend) before taking the night time kayak tour of the bioluminescent mangroves under the starry night. Definitely worth the trip!
The tour book at the house was very helpful. I found information about yoga, the Tamboo Bar and massage. I brought my daughter to have her 1st massage (Sweet 16) to Annette Weinnmer at her beach house is Rincon (her number in book).
We did not get to the San Sebastian waterfall (will have to save it for our next trip down). It is recommended that you get there at 9 AM or it will be too crowded and no parking. This place is about 1 and a half hours east of the house.
There are plenty of near by restaurants and fresh fruit stands.
The Rincon House was fantastic. It was in a nice neighborhood and close to town. We highly recommend it.
We stayed there during May 2014. The property is very well kept and beautiful. It is ideal for a group of friends or a family. The area is great and it's nearby bakeries, fast food places and local restaurants. The property manager and the owner are great to deal with.
Between the beach and the pool, we didn't feel the need to go anywhere else. Our grandchildren could not get enough of the water and the sand. The house is spacious and gracious, but the best part is the roofed veranda and pool and walled garden, where we ate all of our meals and enjoyed just talking.
We had been to San Juan before but never Rincon. It is rural Puerto Rico. A wonderful and busy little town from the 1950s. The nights are filled with tropical sounds of tiny frogs. Early morning in the distance roosters crowing and an occasional dog. Modernization is also present. Rincon Escape has a good wi-fi and my laptop worked fine.
We had two big adventures. Snorkeling at Steps Beach - discovering fabulous corals. And several of us tried scuba diving -- you don't have to be experienced just adventuresome.
We are already planning a return.
My family and I had a great time at Rincon Escape!! Very clean and comfortable!! We especially loved the terrace and pool area!! Beautiful landscaping makes it very tropical! Would rent again!!
We found the Rincon Escape villa to be the perfect week long getaway from the snow and cold weather. The villa was spacious with large bedrooms, kitchen, decks and pool area.
We had three couple in our group. We all had plenty of room.
The beach is just a few houses away and the town is only 1.5 miles. Rincon is a small beach community. The main attractions are the beach, surfing, diving and snorkeling. But it's also great for just relaxing and getting away. We visited many local restaurants and every meal was an absolute treat.
We even found the only two golf courses on west side of the island.
This is a tropical island and it took a couple of days to get use to the sounds of roosters and tree frogs at night, but they soon became a part of the ambience.
The common areas of the house are not air conditioned, but the breezes kept everything comfortable. The bedrooms all had there own air conditioners that made sleeping easy.
The pool was refreshing and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need. The only problem we had was one of the bedroom air conditioners didn't work and the repairman we were promised never showed.
Rincon has the best surfing on the east coast of the United States. Boards can be rented, teachers for all ages are available.
