Villa, 4 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, private pool, two minute walk to ocean.
For secluded beaches, beautiful sunsets, playing in the surf, snorkeling, worldclass surfing and fishing, Rincon Escape is the perfect escape for you.
Our home is wonderfully large with an old world feeling - high ceilings and generous spaces to relax in. It has a secluded patio and its own private pool.
Rincon Escape is located on a quiet cul de sac that leads to the beautiful, sandy Corcega beach - one minute walk (3 houses) from the villa. Situated on the Carribbean Sea, it is Rincón's most beautiful, gentle beach.
The house has 2 master suites with bathrooms, fully airconditioned and ceiling fans. Both open to a large covered balcony overlooking pool. One suite has a queen size bed, the other two double beds.
There are two additional large bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, and the other with twin beds. Both are airconditioned and have ceiling fans. There are two additional full baths in the house. Plus there is an outdoor shower for your return from the beach.
For dining, you can pull a stool up to the granite counter in the large, gourmet kitchen, or enjoy the round table in the dining room, looking onto the patio – or even better have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the patio to the sounds of tropical birds and coquis (tree frogs).
There are ceiling fans in every room, including bathrooms and the patio.
We have many guests returning to Rincon Escape, enjoying the nearby ocean -- but even more they especially love the pool. Grandparents love to watch their grandkids play, and others go from patio to pool and back again with a freshened drink in hand. The abundant greenery and palm trees surround you - it is paradise.
Wedding guests/families especially love to stay at Rincon Escape because it is a beautiful home - very appealing for elegant weddings. The interior staircase is perfect for photos.
The house is designed for entertaining, with plenty of room in the kitchen for many friends to be cooking at once. It has granite counters, microwave, large oven, dishwasher. It is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware.
If you would prefer to eat out, Rincon has several wonderful restaurants offering everything from Tapas to Puerto Rican cuisine and even sushi.

About Kenneth Sale
We are two hardworking professional folk in our 60s, waiting for grandchildren to come along. We love to garden, to cook, and love the water. And we have both in abundance at our home in Rincon.
Kenneth Sale purchased this Villa in 2005
Why Kenneth Sale chose Calvache
We bought in Rincon on a lark. While vacationing in Puerto Rico, we visited the out of the way town of Rincon and fell in love. We asked ourselves, “how could this quiet little town from the 1950's with wonderful beaches and great surfing be kept so hidden from big tourist operations?' We have since discovered that Rincon is the jewel of Puerto Rico's west coast, an out of the way and unspoiled paradise.
What makes this Villa unique
The best part of Rincon Escape is going to the beach and submerging myself in the warm ocean water. And just paddling about. Then a walk on the beach, and back in the water. Going home to shower and then off to a local bakery or store for good Puerto Rican food. Back home to sunbathe by the pool, and then back to the beach with drink in hand watching the sunset. Incredible snorkeling is only a 5 minute drive away and the local sufing beaches are some of the best in the Carribbean.

Very spacious, comfortable house
We were the first rental after the hurricane, so there were a few inconveniences; but, overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Rincon Escape. Although there is still much work being done in Rincon; we experienced no inconveniences, other than not having internet or cable at the house; which forced the four of us to actually just hang out, talk, play games and relax (We asked about water and power, but not internet and cable, so ask before you reserve, if that is important to you). Robert, the property manager, was very kind to provide us with some of his personal videos to watch.
The two bedrooms located at the back of the house, with access to the large balcony, are very spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Ceiling fans and air conditioners in all of the bedrooms give you many options for sleeping comfortably. The jalousie windows also bring in a nice breeze; but we didn't sleep with them open because of the neighbor's early rising roosters. (After a day or two, we didn't notice them too much). The front bedrooms were also roomy and comfortable. Having rooms on both sides of the house, separated by the stairwell, is a nice feature if you would like a little separation from kids or other travelling companions.
The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped, but we did find it necessary to rewash the counter tops before using the kitchen. There was an obvious odor in the wall cabinets indicating there had been water damage; but we were told they will soon be replaced. We found everything we needed to turn out some really great meals. There are two supermarkets within a mile or so of the house; and we were surprised that the prices were not as high as we expected on most items (compared to Oregon prices).
The furniture in the common areas is all very comfortable. The ground level patio and pool area provided a very nice environment for relaxing and dining.
There is beach access within a half block of the house, which offers beautiful views; but it was inaccessible during our stay, due to large rocks and debris blocking the entry to the beach. Work was being done to clear the path; but was not completed while we were there. We did find another private beach and a public beach within a 5-10 minute drive from the house. The public beach, Balneario de Rincon, has calmer waves. La Cambija Seafood Restaurant is at the corner and is very good.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and did not want to leave.
Fortunately our house suffered little from the hurricane, and the problems we had are being resolved. The town of Rincon is "coming back" as well. Electricity finally returned to Rincon Escape a week before the guests arrived. We're delighted that everything , except for the cable/internet service was operational. We're hoping that will return soon. We pray for those on the island who still are without water and electricity. The problems are far from over.
Great Home, very clean and in nice quiet area.
Had a great time at the Rincon Escape. Owner was very easy to work with and property manager was very nice and helpful as well.
Spent 9 days in this beautiful home 3 houses from the beautiful Rincon beach. Warm tropical breezes awaited us every day to either sit by the pool, enjoy the beach, or drive to see the town and surrounding area. Loved it. Hope to go back again next year, perhaps with the whole family.
Perfect Escape to relax...
Stayed 1/14/2017 to 1/21/2017
I am a Puerto Rican from New York and visit my family a few times a year for the last 40 years.
I have rented in many places over the years and found Ricon Escape the most comfortable and relaxing.
The house is a dream house with a fully equipped
Kitchen (Very well equipped had a old school coffee collador) and a beautiful landscaped back yard and Pool with a confortable veranda where I spent much of my week drinking wine wine and grilling,
It has both gas and charcoal grills.... a plus for me since I am a charcoal guy. The house is also well equipped with a Gas backup generator and water system, a must for me since I know my island
The house is in a great area close to everything
You need and many beaches,, the sunsets on the beach behind the house are amazing.
You are very close to some of my favorite beaches
On the Island,, for surfing domes beach in Ricon is for you, the light house is a beautiful spot overlooking it, For swimming and surfing Jobos beach in Isabella
Is amazing, don't miss the man made bridge with the surf shooting over it. For swimming Crash Boat beach is perfect and scenic....
As a Foodie The food in the area is great The English Rose is great for breakfast, the Shipwrek bar is also good but the best seafood around is a few minutes away in Mayaquez, it's called Gonzalez Seafood (have been going there since a child)
The seafood is as fresh as it gets and it's right on the water. (The decor could use an update but the great food makes up big time).
Overall the best vacation I have had ever,,,
You will love the house,, the property manager Robert was Great and very helpful, fixed a minor issue on the spot. He also was helpful in advising me since I am
Retiring here soon, the owner was also very helpful.
Your can not go wrong renting this property.
Rincon Escape is magnificent!!!!
Rincon Escape was my plan for a perfect get together with family from different parts of the U.S. in order to celebrate my recent retirement after 40 years of teaching. The trip was all I imagined and more!! The property is amazing and comfortably accommodated our party of 9. The owners and property manager couldn't have been more kind. Rincon is a beautiful spot filled with wonderful views, food and people. We discovered a new place to dine every night and were provided with excellent recommendations from the owners and Robert, the property manager. We took two trips ; to the falls in San Sebastián and to the Bioluminescent Mangroves in Paraguez! Both were incredible!! It was an overall unforgettable experience and well worth the money. I would definitely return to Rincon Escape!!! Nancy Morton/ 6/25 - 6/30/16
We stayed Feb. 3-10, 2016, and we loved everyday. The house was everything we expected and more. Rincon is a great laid back town. I highly recommend staying here at Rincon Escape. We booked two excursions which I recommend, one being the bioluminescent bay and the Katarina Sailing charter.
Robert the property manager was Johnny on the spot, he even went to the wharf and got us fresh Mahi Mahi. Thank you Robert for taking great care of us.
Rincon has the best surfing on the east coast of the United States. Boards can be rented, teachers for all ages are available.
