My husband and I are property managers in business with his parents, working toward full ownership of our circa 1813 farmhouse. We established Bed & Eggs as a vacation rental in August 2014. Mat & I live onsite with our two children, 15 laying hens, a one-legged rooster, and our American Staffordshire Terrier, Pinx, who loves people and greets everyone enthusiastically. We will do our best to make sure introductions are done responsibly.
Frieda Suess purchased this apartment in 2012
Bicycles and walking shoes are the way to get around if you don't want to take your car. Central to locally grown produce stands, beautiful hiking trails and fire towers, wedding venues, golfing, skiing and mountain biking, scenic rail rides, and unique shops and restaurants, it's easy to fill each day with a new adventure while visiting Roxbury.
Located in a friendly neighborhood just a mile outside of the Town of Roxbury, kids enjoy the safety of our streets, and the neighbors all look out for them and each other. Mostly full-time residents, you can walk down the road and find people out on their front porches. Very community-minded, and our property runs the length of it!
the property was clean and comfortable. Freida and Mat asked if there was anything they could for us to made our stay even more pleasant. The eggs are fresh and delicious. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Mat recommended we have dinner at the Public which turned out to be a great choice.
This place is a gem for those who want to relax and enjoy the Catskills. We arrived on Memorial weekend and ejoyed Frieda and Matt's bonfire and barbeque. We also joined the community at the Memorial Day parade which was great fun and harkened back to a much simpler time when we were growing up. And the eggs!! Frieda supplied us with the best fresh organic free range eggs.
The apartment was lovely and better than advertised. We would certainly recommend this place to anyone.
We spent the Valentines day and long weekend there. It was extremly cold but oweners made every eddort to keep us warm and cozy. There are several walking trails you can take and it is absolutely beautiful. The scenery was great. The house was perfect for 2 of us. Everything you need from hairdryer to wine opener to cooking spray oil is available inthe house. The bed was very comfortable. I could imagine it would be great for summer and fall. We will definetely recommend this place. There are several small town around that you can walk around and shop and everyone is very friendly.
The property is beautiful. We were greeted by Matt who invited us into his home right away for snacks and drinks. They gave us a lot of eggs which we ate some of and brought the rest home. Freida was as prompt as possible with answering any emails/texts. Our stay was very comfortable. The area is lovely for exploring. The house was clean, bright, and well stocked for an apartment kitchen.
Chose this location do to the proximity to a location we were attending for a all weekend wedding. 6 miles away very convenient , clean and very well maintained kitchen was well stocked including cooking spray which was excellent for making the eggs provided . Great customer service given by Mat and Frieda the owners, I would highly recommend staying here.
