Our 2 bedroom, 1 bath duplex apartment in downtown Jersey City's Hamilton Park historic district is newly renovated and fully furnished. Walk to everything including parks, cafes/restaurants, mall and PATH trains/ferries to NYC, Broadway/Times Square, Statue of Liberty, Broadway shows, World Trade Center and United Nations headquarters.
Comfortable for 4, this historic 1800s row home is great for young families, couples, tourists or business travelers who are looking for indoor or outdoor enjoyment in a friendly neighborhood convenient to New York City. The main floor features a fully renovated kitchen and living room in an open plan. Upstairs, two inviting bedrooms accommodate four guests comfortably with two twin beds in one room and the second room with a queen bed shared for two. (Option to replace queen bed in second room with two twin beds -- advanced request and minimum reservation required.) A private backyard/patio is wonderful for entertaining with a 2-burner Weber gas grill, gazebo, hammock and lounge chairs.
Guests will enjoy private use of the entire duplex including the use of the Weber outdoor grill and backyard.
This duplex apartment is located in downtown Jersey City, which directly faces Manhattan across a 1 mile stretch of the Hudson River. Jersey City is often called the '6th borough' because of its close proximity to New York City's 5 boroughs (The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan). But unlike the other boroughs, Jersey City enjoys the most convenient access to Manhattan, the lowest rates and the best views of the Manhattan skyline.
If you were to stay in one of the other boroughs -- The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island -- it would take you about 40 min to get to Times Square. And staying in Manhattan, though convenient, would be extremely expensive and small for the price.
Savvy travelers to the New York City area stay in Jersey City -- and downtown Jersey City specifically -- where you get easy, fast access to Manhattan and a trendy, safe, walkable community at a great price.
Directly across the street from our home is the beautiful national historic landmark, The Harsimus Cove Embankment, where adventure seekers and outdoorsmen can find a untainted mini-eco-system of monarch butterflies, rare birds and vegetation. History buffs will enjoy a stroll through our friendly, safe neighborhood with its restored, historic brownstones and row-houses built circa 1800. Families will enjoy the convenient access to the beautifully-maintained Hamilton Park just 2 blocks away featuring tennis courts, basketball, children's playgrounds, sprinklers and open lawns for lounging. Business travelers will have direct access to the waterfront business district with a 10 minute walk, as well as, ferries and PATH trains to get you to New York City, World Trade Center, Wall Street, etc in under 15 minutes. Cafes, restaurants, the Newport Mall and shopping is just a 10 minute stroll away. Chock full of young singles, couples and families, Hamilton Park is very friendly and if you love art or dogs, you're in the right neighborhood.
We are a safe, 'walkable' neighborhood with everything you need just a stroll away including transportation to NYC, restaurants, laundry, cafes, etc. To access Manhattan/New York City, Times Square, Broadway, and sites like the Statue of Liberty and World Trade Center, ferries and PATH trains are just a short 5-10 minute walk away from the apartment. You would get directly to everything there is to see within 5-15 minutes on our 24-hour PATH trains directly to Broadway points or a quick ride on our ferry service.
The cost for the 24-hour PATH train is $2.50 one way or $1.90 when you buy them by 10 packs. These trains go directly to Broadway so there is no need to transfer to New York City subways and pay an additional fare.
New York Waterway ferries, just a short 10 minute walk from the apartment, are $5 one-way and can get you to points along the West or East Side of Manhattan in as little as 5-10 minutes.
New York City is better when you stay with us. We have the best views of the New York City skyline, the most convenient access to all the tourist attractions via our ferries and trains and we're over 50% less expensive than comparable options within New York City.
No pets and no smoking please. As this is a residential neighborhood, guests should be mindful of their neighbors and keep noise at an appropriate level.
We are a couple with two young children. We love to travel the world and meet new people.

This property features the benefits of convenient access to New York City within a walkable, family-friendly neighborhood.
Backyard patio with grill. Walking distance to trains and ferries to Manhattan, Broadway/Times Square, World Trade Center within 7 minutes!
Excellent hosts, very helpful! The apartment corresponded to the description perfectly. She was totally calls since our entry until the time of check out.
Very convenient to NYC via PATH, restaurants, services, etc. Apartment is in historic district----very neat and clean, well equipped (full kitchen with everything you need if you want to cook in a few nights, plus plenty of linens) and comfortable; old-fashioned bathroom tiling, with modern updates; modern electronic setup for TV and security also. Festive is a great host--very clear communications, very responsive--and everything was exactly as advertised. You can walk everywhere, but if you have a car, you can also easily get to major highways to go further afield. Would stay again.
The description of the property was very accurate and the property owner was extremely accommodating.
For the price and convenience, I would stay there again. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality.
The apartement is close to the PATH station. The owners are very very nice. We enjoyed to stay a couple of nignts. The apartement was clean and everything was here.
Thanks for the nice stay.
Everything was in order for our stay. No issues during the 5 nights we stayed. Beds were very comfortable, apartment was cool enough even when the outside temps were over 90F during the day. Would definitely stay here again if we decide to return. Be aware the walk to the Grove Path station was about a mile. We did not mind it but some may. There are always Taxi's available from the Path to the apartment and the fee is reasonable. Had a blast and recommend this apartment. Even the neighbors were wonderful/ friendly people.
This is a great place to stay. Lots of space, well positioned for the Path train (Grove street).
Lounge and kitchen area are terrific.
Hosts are great. Orientation tour at the beginning was great!
TV and Wi-Fi works well.
A bit of TLC particularly at the back door and outside at the back would be useful.
We had a great time here, and would stay again. Lovely place and great hosts!
