This mid century modern home typifies the SO CAL lifestyle. This Palmer and Krisel designed home is a modernists dream! Spacious, bright and comfortable 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom home. Escape the noise and traffic of Los Angeles, yet 35 minutes to most major attractions. Unwind at the end of a long day and relax in the ultra luxurious hot tub for eight. The house is nestled in a small enclave which was designed in the mid 1950s by world famous architects Palmer and Krisel who are perhaps most famous for designing large parts of Palm Springs! The large, open concept house features an extra large, fully private back yard perfect for relaxing, lounging or entertaining. The living room has a brand new flat screen t.v. and the den has an additional t.v. . The open and bright living room features a fireplace and wood floors throughout. The rest of the house features 3 beautiful bedrooms, a study, a spacious kitchen, a full dining room, and 2 baths to make this a great oasis for your family. The kitchen is fully functional with a microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, oven and stove, dishes and all utensils. The master suite has a queen size bed, walk in closet, and ensuite bathroom with his and her sinks. The second bedroom also features a queen bed and a third bedroom features 2 twin beds. All 3 bedrooms feature brand new high quality beds ensuring a good night's sleep. The den also features an L shaped sectional couch providing additional sleep space as well. In addition, the house has central air conditioning and central heating. Outdoor features a functional front yard with plenty of tropical foliage and 3 mature palm trees. The backyard has plenty of shade from the sun and has mature fruit trees. It also features an outdoor patio sofa set and umbrella perfect for lounging after a long day sightseeing or for entertaining. Also, it features an extra long drive way and provides secure off street parking. The gated backyard provides total privacy and safe place for your children to play and unwind, or for your family to gather.

Conveniently located in a very quiet, safe residential neighborhood right off the 405 in the San Fernando valley, this property is minutes drive from shops and restaurants. You have a short drive from the Getty Center, Universal Studios, Malibu, and so much more. Finally, groceries, gas and restaurants are all within a 2 minute drive. The owner of the property was very easy to work with. The house was exactly what we expected. A great place to stay if you're on vacation with your family. I would definitely recommend this house and stay there again.

Very Nice Comfortable House Rental

This is a very nice comfortable house in a quiet upscale neighborhood with everything you'd expect in a California Valley house. A large Master bedroom + bath suite on one side of the house, and a separate 2 bedroom + office + bath suite on the other side. Between the two suites is a full kitchen + dining + family room. These are all in great new condition with a Danish modern atmosphere. Off the family room is a large back yard with comfortable patio which includes 2 chaise lounges, a 6 person patio table and a very comfortable sofa-chair sitting area. In the back of the yard is a fully functioning hot tub which looks new. The yard is quite private and the landscaping immaculate. The manager was readily accessible and checked in to see if all was OK. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay

This home was perfect for 4 adults that visited family in the area. It is immaculate and had everything that we needed. We chose to rent this home as opposed to reserving 2 hotel rooms for our stay. It served as a great meeting place for the entire family. Roomy and comfortable the home is very private and in a quiet neighborhood. It was conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. Cara responded quickly to all inquiries and checked in with us to see if we needed anything or had any questions. I have rented many times through VRBO and we would definitely stay here again.

Great Time in Granada Hills

We were 4 ex-Valley boys coming in from across the Country - Connecticut, Washington, Oregon and Northern California to visit with old friends and celebrate our 60th birthdays. House was perfect and located close to our old stomping grounds. We had a few friends over and the large backyard/BBQ was great. Everyone enjoyed the 70's decor and the only slight negative was a very small TV in the living room.

A clean well lighted place.

Our family from Minnesota and Texas (4 adults and one 12 year old) had a wonderful 10 day Christmas stay in this mid century oasis. The property was just as described; it was clean and spacious. Just minutes from the freeway, it was easily accessible to everything we wanted to see and do. It is near shopping and restaurants and many food trucks. The house has lots of storage and the large living space is flooded with natural light. Cara was very helpful in orienting us to the area and beyond with suggestions of restaurants, etc. We have used HomeAway and VERBO many times, and this was one of our very best finds! We would love to return again and would happily recommend to friends.

Lovely home

This is a lovely house in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is spacious and immaculate, furnished in mid-century style in keeping with the style of the home. In addition to the three bedrooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen, it has a study with excellent WiFi service and TV reception. For the price of a hotel room, my husband and I got to spread out and enjoy all the comforts of home. We loved being able to fix our own breakfast and eat in leisurely comfort in the dining room, to relax and read or watch TV at night in a real living room, and to sit out on the patio in our own back yard.

Cara is a gracious host who made sure our stay was pleasant. In setting up the trip, she answered all our emails promptly. (This was our first time using VRBO, so there were some things we needed extra help with, and she was there for us every time.) She even made sure that we would be able to find the key when arriving after dark.

I would stay here again and would recommend it to duo travelers and families. But I would especially recommend it to non-spouse friends traveling together. Because of the layout, there are essentially two master suites, so two unrelated people could easily share the space very easily and still have privacy.
